Oooo what if when drift joins team rocket, Lucario distances themselves from deadlock (whether physically or emotionally) after sometime of seeing what team rocket does. They stop helping him when he's in tough situations as often because they don't like what deadlock is doing/how he's treating his pokemon and other people. I can see this being used for both comedic or serious scenes (drift gets stuck in rubble or something and lucario wont help him out, he's losing a pokemon battle but lucario wont leave their pokeball/wont move from where they're sitting, ect.). Lucario stills cares about drift but they (rightfully) think bro needs to chill out—

But thats just my interpretation! I'd love to hear what you think drift/deadlock and lucario's dynamic could be :D

(apologies for any possible typos or if some sentences are a bit unclear, it's night time for me and I eepy lol)
