For the same reason I can pick up this pencil, tell you it’s name is Steve and go like this…[breaks pencil] and part of you dies just a little bit on the inside. Because people can connect with anything. We can sympathize with a pencil, we can forgive a shark, and we can give Ben Affleck an Academy Award for screenwriting.
The pilot episode of the NBC sitcom Community aired on Thursday, September 17, 2009.

thank you. I guess that's just, how I roll. never heard anybody calling me donny but hey, first time for everything. okay, to be fair, it might've been a week but I wouldn't know since all I done was reading a shit ton and working hard on a few music-related things. oh, absofuckinglutely. never felt more than okay in awhile now.
falsegambino:
so, it has been 3 weeks since i’ve contacted a person in long time. I would say that’s an achievement but in reality, it had me being almost alien-life and watching ‘One Hit Wonderland’ several times which truly, is a good youtube series. definitely recommend it. I currently feel like there is no braincells whatsoever and im trying to collect all of them like it’s some pokémon shit.

Happy 54th Birthday, Adam Horovitz / Ad-Rock! {October 31st, 1966}
You picture yourself as being 22 always, and so it’s very bizarre when you’re not.

I know. Oh yeah, certain projects need some redoing. But others? Nope. that's like rebooting The Warriors, it's fine and doesn't need fixing when it sometimes don't work in the modern world. And it wasn't even released around this year. I think they announced the whole reboot around 2015 and put it out in 2017. I remember being pissed that the animation was, Youtube level. Now, I understand that you gotta be cheap with animation, especially, nowadays but christ, it makes the first one look like Mona Lisa in comparison.
falsegambino:
Yup. And meanwhile cancelling the good shit, they bring some odd things that you will never bring to the public. Like The Magic School Bus reboot. Who thought of that? But hey, at least they brought The Addams Family back on there.
Magic School Bus reboot? The hell? I actually don’t mind reboots, if heart and intention is in the right place and new ideas are there but some of them are completely unnecessary. Like who the fuck is asking for a Magic School Bus reboot in 2020? The old one still holds up perfectly.

falsegambino:
Totally. I ain’t gonna go on and on with S02’s ending, but holy shit. Season three needs to come cause i’ll say it, Netflix is kinda getting stale. With a few exceptions, like Cobra Kai, they seem not as good since, maybe early/mid 2010s. I’m still pissed about them removing Bob’s Burgers. YES! A hundred times yes.
You know, I’ve gotta agree with you there. Blood & Water was a fun watch and I love The Umbrella Academy but it’s kinda hard to get attached to anything Netflix drops when they just cancel everything. Forever bitter about The Get Down.

You aren't. Pick-me-up movie? Not saying it's bad, just I would have said ‘help me mommy, I need help’ movie. Sure, that was stupid and I am nitpicking but i'm always like this so I suggest you get slightly used to it. I honestly don't know. That's like watching season to season of Friends, there are certain decisions don't need a understanding from. The closest I could think is Pixar’s Ratatouille. Y'know, it's always nice seeing Patton Oswalt in something, especially as a animal, twice if you count his role in We Bare Bears. My second would probably be Diary Of A Wimpy Kid.
@hfrpstarters || I know I can’t be the only one who has one particular film that they consider their pick-me-up movie they would watch when they need to feel better about one thing or another. No matter the situation, no matter if you’re sad, angry, or just feeling under the weather… And it’s always only one. Unless, of course, it’s a series of films, but that doesn’t usually count, because one can watch five hours of Lord of the Rings and still be only halfway through the second film. How’s that possible? Anyway, do any of you have a movie that you watch when you need a mood booster? Name’s Ellen, by the way, and mine’s always been But I’m A Cheerleader… and it’s moments like these when I try to figure out how in the hell did I ever think I was anything but gay.
