i wish we could see more of cordelia because she feels like a really interesting character. I want to know how she feels truely cause she seems so happy all the time and is desperately trying to stay positive while everything is falling apart. I want to know how she met charlotte and became friends with marvin. I need more cordelia content.

There’s a lot of takes about which is the better Whizzer/Marvin/Mendel but can we talk about Trina

I LOVE Stephanie J Block, she is a fantastic actress.

HOWEVER, I much prefer the OBC Barbara Walsh. There’s so many Trina moments that are very sharp (especially towards Jason) that I think are very important to the Falsettos dynamic. Trina being meaner(?)/sharper to Jason is important to show how Marvin’s unrealistic expectations bleeds into everyone and makes them worse people too. Block doesn’t quite give them the oomf that Walsh does…

I think about Block saying “not my Trina” and I think that’s very important to recognize. At the end of the day, her interpretation is still fantastic, it’s just very different than Walsh’s (of which she is clearly aware) and I simply prefer the latter!

I have two confessions to make

I think that the revival is MUCH funnier than the OBC I love the original cast so much but it's just not as funny

I find Michael Rupert's Marvin and to be a bit scarier he's not as mean as Christian's but when Michael's Marvin loses his cool he completely loses it, an example is Marvin hits Trina I have nothing against Christian Borle but Michael's voice is so much sharper and it seems louder and more aggressive. it's part of the staging too the way that Marvin throws furniture like a child throwing a tantrum was so so good I wish they hadn't gotten rid of that part

Falsettos-related, but I think people are gatekeeping Christian Borle a little too much. There’s a whole war going on on Twitter between the hazbin hotel fans and the falsettos fans, and the gatekeeping is just SOOOO BAD

I wish people would focus on Mendel and Jason's relationship more than they do tbh

Like people just seem to skim over the fact that Jason practically said "hey ur cool wanna marry my mom or whatever"

And Canceling the Bar Mitzvah (obc AND revival) always has me tearing up...

Like in the Falsettoland cast recording. Who gave Chip the right to do the "shh shh shh" because everytime he does it i wanna puke from sorrow

And Brandon's "why don't we tell him that we don't have the answers?" part makes me wanna claw up furniture out of sorrow

I don't hate the revival but I think the OBC is very important and that you kinda need to watch it. Not trying to sound pretentious at all, honestly I'm not. But I notice a lot of mischaracterizations come from Revival fans who have only watched the revival. (Even me... I had some bad takes lol now im an OBC truther and probably still have them but shhhhhhhhhh)

This isnt even about "twink" Whizzer (I saw a take that said whizzer is whatever the actor portrays him as in that particular production and thats what I align with because actors will make a character their own when they play them and its valid)

But the people who swear up and down that Mendel is evil incarnate, Whizzer is a poor baby who did no wrong, etc...

I've only ever seen be revival fans??? Maybe thats because the revival is most popular on TikTok, though. Lol (I love TikTok but also some ppl on there have the media comprehension of a goldfish)

I feel like a part of it comes with how vastly different the obc and revival are.

The actors all have different ways they play their characters (which is fine)

BUT

Thats why its important to watch the OBC!!!!!! (in my opinion)
