but for real, the cancelation of Acolyte is embarrassing for so many reasons.

If it were netflix, I wouldn't have been so disgusted because we're all already perpetually disgusted by their cancellation behavior, but Disney+ has followed through with all of the other Star Wars shows they've started, even when some of them were pretty mediocre at times (I'm looking at you, Boba Fett).

The issue shouldn't have been money, because we're talking about THE top dog media tyrant. They could have afforded to make eight more measly episodes, even at a loss.

But if it was that some of the fandom were complaining loudly about the direction of the story, then it's even MORE embarrassing, because Disney-Lucasfilm SHOULD have learned their lesson about trying to please everyone after the disaster that was Rise of Skywalker.

And we KNOW they know that tros was a disaster, seeing as it's been years after their "big fresh start" and they're just now beginning to meekly murmur about continuing any of those characters stories.

It was heartbreaking enough to see them retcon and drop story threads then just because the previous movie had been "controversial" (actually had substance and the guts to go in new directions + hire an actress who wasn't skinny or white), but to not even TRY with The Acolyte - to just give up and cancel it after only one of their obnoxiously short seasons? That's pathetic.

My first time participating in the Character Design Challenge! I’m sad I didn’t know about the mermaid challenge until it was too late, but it’s okay, I love Sailor Moon!

Princess Serenity and Luna always reminded me of the Chinese Moon Fairy, Chang E, so I kept that in mind as I designed. I tried to evoke her iconic hair style, but also inspired by more traditional Chinese hairstyles. Not too hard at all! I also put the planetary symbols of her main five sailor scouts on the “brocade” since I wanted to tie their relationship in somehow!

Rewatched The Good Place for the first time since s4 dropped and. Oh my god. The Good Place said "people are a result of their environment but we always have a moral responsibility to be better" and The Good Place said "every day the world gets a little more complicated and it gets a little harder to be good" and The Good Place said "even in the face of total nihilism, when nothing you do will matter, you still have to at least try. Because trying is better than the alternative" and The Good Place said "if you have bills to pay and shit to deal with you don't have time or energy to become a better person" and then The Good Place really said "people get better when they get external love and support. How can we hold it against them when they don't " and THEN The Good Place really said "no one is irredeemable. Everyone can try to be better today than they were yesterday" AND THEN!
