Genderbend thoughts under the cut (mostly beatlemania era, might make another one for later on in their lives)
Pauline- Similarly to how Paul is fairly masculine in personality and mannerisms but still has this kind of inherent femininity to him, I think the opposite should be true of a genderbent paul.. kind of guyish looking girl who still doesn't steer very far from gender norms. Girlish enough to be marketable and guyish enough to make millions of girls at home question themselves etc etc. So out of the group, she's the tallest, she has the broadest shoulders and the least ammnt of curves. This honestly fits in perfectly with the adrogynous body type that was fashionable in the 60s and I can see her being very popular for it. I imagine her having a deepish voice, kind of similar to Paul's usual cadence. Joan- Mirroring John's experience with gender expression, I can imagine Joan holding onto the idea of femininity very very tightly at the beginning of her career. I think she'd leave it behind later on in her life and lean more into masculine/androgynous styles. Now, this doesn't really fit into that specific timeline but I cannot imagine her NOT being a teddy girl in the late 50s. So maybe she's more confident in her gender expression when they were just fucking around doing smaller shows but when Beatlemania starts up she does kind of a 180 and plays up the feminine little girl group bit. Still very much behaves like a teddy girl though you can't shame that out of her. Gina- Weird little girl rep. I like to imagine early George's obsession with making his hair as big as possible would translate into Gina also wearing the biggest honeycomb styles of the group. My girl is teasing that thing to hell and back and is most likely a nightmare to comb back to normal. Her little sibling complex is probably even worse now, given that not only is she the youngest in the group but she's also just. A woman in showbusiness. So she's already not really being heard or taken seriously. I think in, say, hamburg days, Gina would really look up to Joan's teddy girl persona and she'd kind of file in somewhere in her brain as "how to get respected". So I think she'd carry those mannerisms with her very late into her career too. Rachel/Ringo- The most naturally traditionally feminine of the group. Her little white headband is based on this Karen Carpenter look because I can sooooo see her dressed up like that and I think it captures the energy I imagine her having perfectly. Honestly she's the least conflicted gender wise which I think is also true of normal Ringo. In early hamburg days I can see her aesthetic resembling more of a rocker girl but say, like this, more than the oversized suit and tie that Joan and Gina would be sporting.

Please listen carefully Please listen carefully🙏 I need you to read this..🥹
On the seventh of October I am teacher Mahmoud Atta. I work as a teacher teaching secondary school students.
✅️Vetted by @gazavetters, my number verified on the list is ( #365 )✅️

On October 7th, I was getting ready to go to school. On October 7th, while I was getting ready to go to school, my life was completely turned upside down. Israel declared war on Gaza. After that, they announced their entry into the roads and cities and forced us to leave the city from Khan Yunis to Rafah
.

We passed through a road called the Road of Death. Tanks were everywhere. Bullets were raining down. We passed through a road called the Road of Death. Tanks were everywhere. Bullets were raining down. If you survived, your brother would not.
We've all seen the end of the world movies on the big screen. We have all seen end of the world movies on cinema screens, but what we saw was real and not imaginary. I wish it was imaginary.
We finally arrived in Rafah Finally we arrived in Rafah, the safe city as it is called, but where to go? The sea is behind us, the weather is freezing, and the borders are closed with Egypt on the other side and Israel on the third and fourth sides. I found myself making a tent out of nylon for myself and my family.

No water, no electricity, no food, no place to go to the bathroom, no life. I wish I had died sooner.
We returned after a long time to our city. After a long time, we returned to our city. The first sight was that a giant monster had entered the city and left it in ruins, so much so that I did not recognize my house or my neighborhood. Oh my God, is this Khan Yunis?

fI searched to find my home, to find my apartment, which contained my memories and my most beautiful days, destroyed. I searched to find my home, to find my apartment, which contained my memories and my most beautiful days, destroyed.

Today I stand before you to search for Today I stand in your hands to search for any help to restore myself again thanks to you.. I am waiting for your help

If the Beatles were beetles, what beetles would the Beatles be?
John: Cobblestone Tiger Beetle (Cicindela marginipennis)

Beetle photo from weecorbie on iNaturalist
The black and cream colouring of the cobblestone tiger beetle corresponds to John’s more traditional earlier image, as well as giving it a sophisticated air. The slight iridescence of the beetle embodies John’s creativity, later embracing of new ideas, and can appear as a rainbow, a symbol commonly associated with hippies and their ideals (or perhaps symbolize John’s potential bisexuality?). The behaviour of tiger beetles also makes sense for John. Tiger beetles are very fast and are known to have very quick reaction times, akin to John’s quick wit and unpredictability. Tiger beetles are known to have a distinctive hunting style, involving repeatedly sprinting at their prey, then stopping. This parallels John’s sometimes aggressive, sometimes relaxed personality.
Paul: Cream-spotted Ladybird (Calvia quatuordecimguttata)

Beetle photo from alexis_orion on iNaturalist
When I asked my friends what beetle Paul would be, they all said “a ladybug”, because apparently Paul is a woman to them. I didn’t choose a ladybug because of that, though, I chose it because they are cute, and Paul is ‘the cute Beatle’. I chose this species specifically for its markings. I didn’t want a standard red, black, and white ladybug for two reasons; 1: The white spots on the thorax give the impression of eyes with a very severe and sharp shape, and 2: The bright red does not give Paul vibes. With the Cream-spotted ladybug, its eyes are clearly visible, round, and dark. The colours of these beetles range from orange to dark brown in Europe, which are much more Paul-adjacent— still fairly bright and showy with the white spots and the swirls on the thorax, but toned-down enough to not seem too flamboyant or excessive. Despite the fact they are strictly carnivorous (the opposite of Paul), ladybugs are associated with gentleness and are appreciated by gardeners as a beneficial insect. This corresponds pretty well with Paul’s polite, people-pleaser image.
George: Ellipticus testaceus

Beetle photo from perksimages on iNaturalist
I chose this particular beetle for George mostly for its shape. I liked how the thin, fairly long legs were emphasized by the black, maybe corresponding to George’s lankiness. The abdomen being shaped like an oval coming to a point could either simply reflect George’s sharp features in general, or his generally agreeable, yet sometimes harsh personality. The orangeish colour of this beetle is also fitting for George due to the colour’s importance in hinduism. These beetles have little impact on humans, which I think can represent George’s image as “the quiet Beatle” and him being overlooked early on.
Ringo: Peridinetus cretaceus

It was immediately obvious that Ringo would be a weevil, but with such a broad group, it was hard to choose. Apart from the ‘snout’ weevils are known for, I also picked weevils because of their eyes. A weevil’s big, shiny-looking eyes fit with Ringo’s often wide, sad-looking ones. The rounded and exaggerated shapes of this weevil lend themselves to the sort of comical yet gentle image Ringo has, while the black and white colour pallete gives it a slightly more refined air, maybe even paralleling a suit.
