They all died at different times but in the same area and all eventually end up "living" in the same house when it eventually gets built on that property and then hundreds of years down the line in modern times we get a long lost descendant who has no idea he/she is related to one of the founding fathers comes to live at the property and eventually somehow the ghosts find out this is so and so's great great great great grandkid and after an accident/seance/priest visit etc the family member is aware of all the ghosts

Thinking about another Octo TJ AU in which Thomas is a "dragon guarding the princess" esque monster and Alexander is the poor guy sent in at monster bait so the more qualified people can save the girl and oh no the big bad octopus has him, oh no he's hot !

 The day after his rescue finds Alexander unfortunately still accompanied by his savior with an unknown future ahead of him and feeling as though he is in this alone. Thomas is trying to be flirty and fun.

Or: Octopus Thomas Jefferson doesn't really understand human emotions and is kind of a prick. Alexander is sad and misses home and they annoy the shit out of each other

my reblog was not even that serious imo mostly a joke-y little vent about sw/sh tending to hold your hand for majority of the game. I don't want hop burned off the face of the Earth or anything, I just don't like him as a character. Also my repost wasn't really in direct reference to your post at all I saw "idk why people hate hop" and ran with it.

Hop isn't the only one I dislike for this reason but the post I saw was about him so he was the only one mentioned and sw/sh is a game I have played more than the others and Hop continues to be the most aggravating character. Annoying optimism is one thing, delusion is another, he's a bad rival combat wise as you said. Him being Leon's brother is...fine? I never said it wasn't, he just sucks as a character imo. he's always up my ass, always yapping, he's delusional, I sweep his team every time and he's still talking about "ill learn from this to be the champion" buddy..... he has a pretty good character arc but just as himself he annoys me.

I don't like characters like Nemona, Gary, and Barry for mostly the same reasons.

It really was a goofy little "omg I hateeee hop he's so annoying lol" not a call out post lol

(and for person I saw in the tags on a different post Marnie is only okay imo and I dislike Nemona for almost the exact same reasons. I prefer Arven)

The utter crude blasphemy you spout from your keyboard astounds me. But I will dissect your main points regardless.

1. “Where is Hop” wasn’t fucking said in this post. If you meant one of my other posts then I was talking about merch. And if you didn’t then I’m even more confused. Why you brought this up bamboozles me.

2. This type of speech happens in most games, regardless of how long or easy getting to that point was. It’s not something specific to Hop. And it is a crucial bit of his story to be a shite trainer. He was a bad rival combat wise to push his story. Plus the whole game was rather easy, no?

3. Hop being Leon’s brother is LITERALLY crucial to the story. You wouldn’t be endorsed into the gym challenge, wouldn’t have gotten your starter nor the Dynamax band, Be able to fight Eternatus, and Especially Survive Eternatus as implied in the cutscene before its battle, if not for Hop being Leon’s younger brother. And on top of being crucial to the story as a whole it is central to his character. The fact that he is nothing but Leon’s brother, he wanted to become champion to change that. And so naturally what he talks about is his brother, because of how much he wants to be Leon, if not shine brighter.

4. Hating a character for… Talking? I can understand an issue with the amount of dialogue, even if I can’t relate. But from all I know this is about Hop specifically.
