I liked Lucien almost immediately, in the first book.

He is a very lively and bright character. Against the closed and slightly gloomy Tamlin, Lucien immediately stood out and aroused sympathy. I don’t know how his character will develop, but while I’m reading books, I have never been disappointed in him. I’ll show his mask a little later. For now, let’s look at his beautiful face with a sly smile, the son of the Autumn Court. And the mechanical eye doesn’t spoil it at all, do you agree?

So Lucien probably works with his blades when he’s stressed. And I bet Elain cooks when she’s stressed.

When Elain is stressed, that makes Lucien stressed, so while she’s cooking, he’s making sure all her knives are sharpened and cleaned.

Chapter 7: Night Again

Summary: Elain grows discontent with her role in the Night Court as she grapples with grief for her human life and powers that she does not fully understand. One evening she accidentally winnows to Lucien's doorstep and he agrees to take her back to Velaris via the scenic route(aka on horseback).

This is a fairly slow burn with lots of fluff (canon compliant)

Status: Multi-chapter - WIP ~55k words (this fic is fully drafted and chapters will be posted as I finish editing them :)

His russet eye looked back over his shoulder, aware that he was revealing his scarred back to her for the first time since meeting. The lashes had never properly healed, remaining as faded pink welts that criss-crossed down his spine to his lower back. A physical map of the suffering he had endured Under the Mountain. They marked him for a little over a year now and were still relatively new to him in the span of an immortal’s life. Yet—he had barely looked at them since the curse had broken. He could feel how disturbing they must have appeared and he did not wish to see another scar beyond the one that already haunted him in the mirror.

“Amarantha happened,” he gritted through his teeth, pulling a shirt to cover himself.

Elain fakes visions, Lucien plays along with her gags 

Lucien lights a candle with his fingers and then sticks his finger in water and it goes tssss

Elain and Lucien eavesdrop on private conversations all day and have the juiciest gossip sessions over dinner

Lucien dyson air wraps Elain’s hair with his bare hands

Another hair related one: Elain uses Lucien’s shampoo without asking and he pretends to be mad(but he can’t stay mad at that face)
