Lucien and Elain are soooo Kovu and Kiara coded from Lion King 2.

Elain will have to come to Lucien after she's ignored him for so long. Just like how Kiara had to be the one to bridge the gap between Kovu and her.

The scar on Kovu face 💯 matches Lucien. Kovu got his by his "mom," who was the bad guy, scratching his face. Lucien got his by Amarantha scarring him with a fingernail.

The way Kovu was thrown out of well two places, but he still ended up with his other half. The way Lucien has essentially been through two courts and will eventually settle with his other half, Elain.

The way Kovu supports Kiara, let's her be her, and is by her side even in dangerous situations. The way Lucien would be the same for Elain. He'd support her and allow her to be herself and be by her side even in dangerous situations.

And you can't tell me this isn't how they'd be together. Elain looks lovingly at Lucien as Lucien experiences something exciting, or even the other way around.

The way the mating bond works.. Lucien and Elain will be one. Just like Kovu and Kiara.

I’ve seen posts and pictures and a lot of other things about CC, once I finished ACOTAR, but I was not sure if I wanted to dive into the whole Maasaverse. UNTIL THIS!!!!! 💜💜💜

So, for ppl who are unsure, like I was. Yeah, read that part… 😉😉😉

(The highlight is horrible, I basically destroyed my book, but it’s hard with this size of the book, without breaking the spine. And I will definitely not do THAT! Plus, for whatever reason, my highlighter was messed up. But anyway, I’ll get better at it, and get a new highlighter 😉)

Mor's gift is truth, something that should hold some weight compared to Rhys's guess at where mating bonds come from, Feyre questioning why Lucien was made Elain's mate, or Az questioning the Cauldron. She might struggle facing her own truths (don't we all) but it's her power to see it elsewhere.

She didn't say, "She has no interest."

She didn't say, "I think Az likes her."

She didn't say, "I think she likes Az."

She said Elain was not ready. That Lucien was not ready.

They weren't ready in SF so that can only mean one thing.

My favourite girls from ACOTAR .... Gwyn , Em and Nesta with lil Nyx..... Aunty Nesta gave Nyx his very own ribbon and called him the honorary Valkyrie because Nyx like every Valkyrie there was born a survivor.... Gwyn and Em are busy entertaining the lil guest while Aunty Nesta sits him...

This little snippet from Chapter 60 of ACOSF caught my attention when I was reading it:

Why? Because it reads as if it is a snippet from Gwyn POV..

She wanted to be the first. Wanted Nesta and Emerie and her to be the ones who wiped the smirks from Azriel's and Cassian's faces. Especially Azriel.

That doesn't really scream third person limited POV and like it was told from Nesta perspective.

& the fact Sarah put an emphasis on that it was Gwyn who wanted to wipe the smirk from Azriel's face...

Why would she do that unless there is an ulterior motive? Like say putting them together as romantic love interests?!

You know what SJM says? That she's a pantser when it comes to relationships. So, there's a scene somewhere in her drafts or in her mind where Lucien and Elain talk, banter, or flirt that made her so giddy that she had to change his mate from Nesta to her. That's exactly what happened when she decided to make Nesta and Cassian mates, even when Azriel and Elain were sitting at that same table.

SJM mated Elain and Lucien in 2016, and she's waited much longer to tell us what made her seal the decision to give them the HEA title of being mates.
