ummm, hope this isn't too late, but if you feel like it, i'd love to hear 19,28 and 29 for the hoc chaos trio luna, willow and ash :) i love the world of heart of courage and thanks a lot for creating it!

Not too late!! I could literally talk about my fankids endlessly;; and thank u so much for the kind words. HoC brings me a lot of happiness, and I'm really thankful others find it interesting too 💖

19.) What's their unusual quirk?

Luna - she has hypnic jerks, has since she was a tiny baby. So as she falls asleep she twitches, REAL HARD sometimes, dangerous activity.

Ash - He didn't speak as a baby until well past he was supposed to. There was nothing wrong with him, he just didn't feel need to speak seeing as he spent a lot of babyhood soley with Catra. It's easy to communicate wordlessly when you're with someone else who uses ears and a tail.

Willow - She's actually allergic to pollen. Summers in Plumeria can be rough, but her moms do their best to accommodate her, magic is a handy tool.

28.) What's their morning routine?

Ash - Doesn't spend much time in a bed seeing as he travels with Catra a lot, and prefers sleeping in odd places anyway. He's a very light sleeper, up as soon as the sun rises, eats a quick breakfast (his favorite is fish) and then he's up for the day.

Willow - she's a really deep sleeper and genuinely struggles to wake up early. Problematic for missing Perfuma's morning meditation classes. When she IS up she's groggy for a good hour before finaly TRULY waking up.

Luna - Despite how late she stays up, she wakes up at the same time every morning, Early O'clock. Morning routine consists of: wake up before alarm, stare at the ceiling for 20 mins yearning for powers, get yelled at by Mom(s) to get up at the same time the alarm goes off, resumse angsting but in the dining hall.

29.) Are they a good cook? What do they like to make?

Ash - is a good cook in the sense of campfires. He's your guys if you're wanting to turn basic forraged foods into something delightful. His favorite is to get fancy and make a campfire stew. It takes time and care but he's a patient guy.

Willow - she and Scorpia share a love of baking and they've practiced together a long time. Willow has perfected Mooncakes bc those are Luna’s favorite. :-)

Luna - No. She's too impatient to read recipes. Also she follows the logic of 'if you cook cookies on 4,000,000° for 1 second then---'

My best advice for fic writers?

Get thee an enabler.

By that, I mean that you should have a friend who will encourage you to write whatever makes you happy. 

Self-indulgent stuff you think no one else will like? They’ll devour it. 

You’ve stumbled into a new ship? They’ll send you all the prompts you could ever want.

Every fic writer should have someone like that.

Your honor, Glimmer and Adora are actually perfect foils and an even better romantic dynamic than you might realize. In this essay, I will explain how Adora carries responsibility for everyone she cares about, she's overprotective to a fault, smothering, brave to the point of recklessness, self sacrificial until S4 when she realizes her worth, and fraid of not living up to expectations as She Ra.

Glimmer is also brave to the point of recklessness, it's why she and Adora click instantly on missions. Like the Dryll episode from S1 where they're both encouraging She-Ra's untamed power level as Bow panics.

But, conversely, Glimmer shirks responsibility--lets it fall on her mother. She takes the consequences of her own mistakes, but she never shoulders the weight like Adora. In fact, this polar opposite mindset can be seen influencing both of them as the series progress, culminating around S3+4 when Adora realizes she no longer needs to take the weight of the universe to be a good She-Ra. And Glimmer realizes that she HAS a lot of responsibility she needs to take MORE seriously.

Once she becomes Queen, she goes full throttle and takes the responsibility of the entire war onto herself--and bulldozes everyone to protect them, to keep them safe. (Like Adora did, but Glimmer seems more cognizant of it.)

Ironically, this is where they come to a head. For once, they have switched. Adora begs Glimmer to let them in and help them share the load of the burden of the war. Glimmer pushes them away because she feels that only she's capable of doing what needs to be done. And losing anyone else besides Angella would devastate her.

All along, Glimmer has been just as afraid that she can't live up to the expectations of her title...Of her mother.

Glimmer's not ever as self sacrificing as Adora, but she isn't afraid of making sacrifices as a concept.

Anyway, regardless of their dropped story arc, the way these two influenced, changed and grew with eachother for 4 seasons was a masterful study in character interaction.

And they deserved a completed arc and satisfying evolution into romance.
