I don't think there's a problem with Jack asking people he recognizes to be mods. It would probably be a bad idea to trust a random fan with mod power over a large community. Critique the mods all you want, but the fact that Sean did not pick them randomly does not make sense as a criticism.

ah yes, I agree, I am not saying he should “fire” the mods he has now, it’s good to have people around since he can trust, what I am saying is we need a fresh look on things. extra hands to help around. it seems like everyone is just getting overwhelmed by the amount of people

I want  to talk about the state of this comunity more .. it’s all going downhill and no one seems to know why. 

is it because there are a lot of new people( younger audiences) possibly

is it because jack changed, again possibly

is it because certain people want to force their opinions, also possible

from what I have seen and read, everything is based on distrust and an unwillingness to listen to someone elses opinions. 

jack has said many times PMA isn’t just “ be positive or hit the road”. pma is feeling comfortable to voice how you feel without fear of being attack for not feeling postive. there is still a chance to fix this but things will have to change. am I asking for jack to go back to being loud and green haired, NO. am I asking him to go back to when he actually talked to the people yes. 

communication is key here if we want to save this sinking ship. people should be allowed to voice their concerns if they don’t like this so jack knows what works for the channel and what doesnt. because people will just leave and he wont know why. he’s a big boy, he can handle it.

critism is a way of learning, but be polite about it

now the issues with the mods.. yes I have noticed some are a bit “power hungry” but I think that is because they are not getting proper guidance. so to jack I ask please talk to your mods, work with them so they can become a middle field player between your fans and you.  perhaps bring in other people with a different look not people that you know by name because you see them in the tags. Why mny of you ask, because they in all fairness have become biased there is no way around that.

forgive me for asking this but .. why is there so much anger around lately. I thought this comunity was known for its acceptence and kindness but lately all I see is hate, people attacking each other over opinions. 

I get it change happens, but can’t we go back to how it was, wel not exactly how it was, but just one big family willing to listen to each other, work with each other to solve problems. 

I miss the old days of just having fun, of being allowed to voice what is on your mind without being labeled a hater, or toxic. 

why do people feel the need to hide now. what went wrong.

is it that hard to understand ? yes you can write it, yes you can love it, but please for the love of everyone's sanity do not send it to them. I'm sure you wouldn't like it either when a stranger writes stuff about you( sometimes nsfw stuff) and then shows you it. yes you can send them art, but keep it clean and know what the boundaries are. if you keep shoving this in their faces it's no wonder they get a bit annoyed. are you still going on about how he voiced his opinion on something that wasn't even linked to the interview ?  really people is he not allowed to say something about it, you take it all to personal, he isn't attacking you at all he's just saying what he thinks, as some of you gladly do anonymously towards others. 

you don't know what he really meant because this is a written text, those can be changed however the writer likes, and the media wants sensation because that sells. seriously don't be THAT fandom that everyone avoids. yes he sees only the graphic bits why because those people are the loudest and most prone to shove it in his face. he did say he was flattered that people explored their artist side but that doesn't mean he should enjoy it when people jam it down people's throats ( and that's not a pun) 

stop making a fool out of yourself and use that brain of your for a minute. really you aren't doing anyone any good by panicking like this, you are just giving them more to mock you about and shun you.

he is a grown up man entitled to his own opinion and feelings, as are you ( maybe you're not a man but you get what I mean) yes you can disagree but that doesn't mean you have to start a riot because of it, you know why because at the moment you are biting the hand that feeds you because he and others will remember how you all acted, and they don't like it, and you will make it so that he doesn't want to meet fans any more because of this. 

action causes reaction think about it, would you like it if a friend suddenly sais " I hate you because you like pears and I don't" you wont be friends with that person much longer. 

so for one last time and I hope you remember this, take a deep breath, calm down, think about why he said it, think about your actions and reactions. 

Really the reason why journalists always come back to this and the fans is because of they way you all are acting now, they know they will get drama and sensation. they know how to chase you up the wall and they will continue to use it. I mean you go into hysterics every time someone sais something that doesn't match your view points. All of you should take some time to ask yourself " if I was in his place what would I do".  start handling this as mature people and the media will start to show a little respect for the fandoms, because now you are just the clowns they use for a little laugh and a kick. 

Shame on all of you to make a mountain out of a mole hill every time something happens. And really, calling him " problematic" because of that ? that's low and really uneducated, the only one that's problematic is you when you think that way.

Right  I am going to put in my 2 cents about this whole Benedict thing, yes I've read the interview and that part. am I angry for what he said? no not at all, am I disappointed?  yes but not in him, but in the fans. The reasons fandoms have a bad name is because of the drama that always follows when an actor sais something that doesn't match your opinion. 

think about why he might of said it, he is getting bombarded with all sorts of stuff, people keep sending him ( and others) very explicit stuff, of course he is going to notice that and not see the other half the ones who admire the works from the sideline and of course the media loves to get these kind of reactions from the fans because now they can say yet again " see fan are crazy and dangerous !" 

seriously people is it that hard to act like adults, you want to be  listened to and taken seriously by everyone then don't give them reasons to shun you. 

yes, you can ship what ever you like, you can like or dislike who ever you want. but the point of fan art and fan fiction is that is it belongs with the fans to show other fans what the think of the show. the actors have nothing to do with it, yes the fans make the actor in a way but that's where it ends. 

to get to the point I kinda strayed away from.  Stop throwing tantrums  like a child in a store being told " no you can't have a candy" that's how you all look right now.

he is an adult man that stated his opinion, also don't always belief what you read, media wants sensation and they'll get it one way or an other.  don't judge until you've heard the full story from both sides.

I am very very disappointed in every single one of you.  even more so I'm ashamed of this fandom, you don't make it better by getting into arms no you make it worse. Good job for giving them an other reason to shun and mock you.

I agree, it has come to a point where I am ashamed to have ever called myself a fan, it's thanks to them the " sherlockians" are now seen as raving lunatics by media, imagine how the actors must feel.

Very well said - it is unfathomable how some people can get so angry and even resort to hate, over what is just a wonderful form of entertainment. IT'S NOT REAL! Enjoy the great acting and writing, or not, but there is no reason to turn on anyone who expresses a different opinion. If only we could all get along what a different world it would be.

I know, think of how great of a fandom we would be, the sherlockians are one of the oldest fandoms ( did you know the first even fanction was a sherlock one ?, the fans even forced sir arthur conan doyle to bring sherlock back to life) but now its so toxic and I can’t immagine what it is like for the actors knowing its because of them this is happening

I can't imagine how others must feel knowing they are at the base of these conflicts, yes I get the occasional fan discussion but this what is happening now isn't healthy for anyone. not for the bullies and not for the people receiving it. 

I honestly don't know what is going on inside your heads but you need to stop and look at your actions, and I hope you see what you are doing.

Amanda has never been and will never be a bully, yes I have seen that tweet, I have also seen tweets by said person who tags Amanda in them only to later delete them with he/she gets a response only to make it seem like Amanda is " bullying them"  like you said you don't have prove, I have seen this person tweet her horrid stuff only yo delete it to seem like a victim. Amanda loathes bullies why would she be one ? also telling some one to " just ignore the bully" doesn't help trust me I've ignored mine for 14 years, you know what happened ? they turned viscous they did everything to get a response even trying to throw me down the stairs, you know when it stopped ? when I finally turned around and confronted them, so don't tell anyone who is a victim of bullies to just ignore then, call out the bullies instead tell them to stop and show they are wrong, or else they just keep getting worse and worse. you know the weirdest reason for Mary-hate I've seen is " but she got paid to kill people and that's not OK" 

.. dude Moriaty gets paid too " consulting criminal" and he kills innocent people, he blew up an old blind person, killed a child by causing him to  drown him and many more yet he's called precious

Mary got paid to take care of people who escaped the law using money. she went after people who wronged others and used blackmail/money/ other people to get away with it

hell even John got paid to kill people he said it " I killed people" and he was a soldier, soldiers get paid

so can someone please explain that reason to me because I fail to see the logic
