Soon as the camera is on her, it’s astonishing. She’s a true star, a true hardworker. When she dances, and she is with twenty of the best dancers in the world, your eye goes to her. When she sings, I mean, when I would do my vocal sessions with Justin & Benj, they were like: “No, this way, this way.” Like, really. And with her, they’d just let it go. She is a pure natural. She is unbelievably respectful to everyone she works with, incredibly professional. And, it really hasn’t happened very often in my life, to work with someone where it’s so blimingly obvious, that she is going to be, if she wants it, the biggest star of her generation. And that could be in music, or dance or acting, whatever she wants.

It’s bisexual culture to think you’re in love with Zendaya’s character and then to immediately fall in love with Zac Efron’s character in The Greatest Showman and not know which one you’re more jealous of.

This was a serious ‘room where it happened’ moment: Last year, I got to do a reading of THE GREATEST SHOWMAN. Hugh was supposed to be on vocal rest following a surgery so Jeremy sang his part. The entire presentation, you could see Hugh just itching to break out and sing, and finally in the last song, he couldn’t contain it anymore. Getting to be in a room with those folks, singing music written by my friends Benj and Justin, was a moment I’ll never forget.
