i had a dream where i got a snake (and i could talk to him) and im not sure if the dream where i got the snake happened a few days ago or if i got him a few days ago in the dream. anyways his name either started with a “A” or a “J” i can’t remember but my mother says it was a “A” (i woke her up crying abt how my snake died bc it was her fault) i have no clue what actually killed him (i did see it i just have no fucking clue what it was) but it fucking bit me and started chewing on my hand. anyways rip here’s a shitty drawing i made to show what the snake looked like

So none of the humans in Gravity Falls noticed when Ford was replaced by his twin, which makes sense, he was a recluse in the woods who probably only infrequently came into town for coffee or groceries. And also a secret mind-wiping cult was on the loose.

But as reclusive as he was around the humans, he got VERY social with the local supernatural entities. He raised a shapeshifter, he kept a gnome in a cage, he yelled at Steve with a megaphone. The local paranormal community was probably very familiar with the excited six-fingered human who traipsed around the woods conducting interviews and taking notes.

So, what did they think when he suddenly vanished, to be replaced by a five-fingered con artist who completely ignored the supernatural entities and began bringing humans around the shack?

I propose this:

None of the supernatural entities realized that he's Ford's twin.

They assume that as part of Ford's studies, he summoned up his own evil doppelgänger, and it killed him and took over his life. As doppelgängers are wont to do.

Which makes Stan a member of the paranormal community in their eyes; but if he'd rather try to blend in among the humans, hey, that's his business. They just won't send him invites to the town's magical meet-ups. He is, after all, an EVIL doppelgänger.

the fact that we as a society have the muppets and they are not everywhere in our cultural consciousness is appalling. why aren't the muppets hosting the oscars. why aren't the muppets commentating the olympics. why aren't the muppets coming to a theatre near me every year with a new adaptation of a classic novel. genuinely what are we doing.

Yeah sure!!! These aren’t in any order :))) I haven’t read some of them in a while so I’ll try give brief descriptions from what I remember

A Case of Mistaken Identity - A time traveler’s pig au!! Which is as it sounds :) Black T-shirt Ford™️ finds the twins and things play out from there :D (incomplete, 4/5 chapters)

But We Could Change It - Stan finds Mabel and ford finds dipper :) I don’t remember all the details but I’m pretty sure it was a good one :D (complete, 18 chapters)

Trapped in the Past - Another time traveler’s pig au but this time Dipper and Mabel are separated with ford and Stan respectively :D (incomplete, 7 chapters)

Journey to the Roots - this ones a classic,, I saw the name and instantly remembered staying up till 6am reading it all like the last one Dipper is with ford and Mabel with Stan (complete, 11 chapters)

Back to the Past - another goodie,, dipper and Mabel go back in time and find Stan I’m pretty sure I read it all? Might have to reread it lmao (complete, 19 chapters)

The Discrepancies Will Fix Themselves - This ones a mabel and Stan centric I think :)) (incomplete, 4 chapters)

Also my leetle one that I haven’t finished bc I stink :’) - it’s just fidds and Mabel fluff if I’m being real lmao — it may be incoherent,, I haven’t read it in a whileeee (it’s about 1300 words)

Lost time-traveling boy comes extremely close to committing violence but is stopped by concerned local grifter

Was thinking about my timestuck brain story and oh how I adore the Dipper and Stan interactions

Like Stan's boutta get beat up by these punks and this kid comes outta NOWHERE and threatens to shank someone if they even dare to try that. Stan takes advantage of the confusion, grabs the kid, and fuckin bolts; introductions later, not dying now

They can commit crimes later, as a treat 💛

(Also, fun fact, there's no lineart in this, and while it may look pretty it murdered my hand lol)
