damian gets his first phone and the other batkids try their HARDEST to not let him have their personal numbers (except for dick), because damian's an AWFUL texter and doesn't understand emojis or slang + always insists on correct grammar. (he WILL critique the kids who have autocaps off)
however dick has been teaching him the long ʕ•́ᴥ•̀ʔっ♡ type emoticons and put shortcuts in his keyboard for them. he's also been learning about reaction images, which he has not once yet used correctly. all of this is even more incentive for the kids to hide their numbers from him.
his new developments have even made their way into his bat-cell (for patrolling + missions). he'll be patrolling with dick, and they're on a quick food break. tim will message to ask where they are, and instead of telling him, damian sends back a "( ◑‿◑)ɔ┏🍟--🍔┑٩(^◡^ )"
it becomes a bribe for the other boys: "if you do ____, i'll give damian your number". although they do all cave eventually, and learn to deal with it.

Dick: Can I get a hug? Jason: Fuck off. Tim: Pass. Damian, quietly approaches him and gives Dick a hug: Tell anyone and I'll lie about this. Jason: We can see you. Tim: Yeah. Damian: I mean, anyone important. Jason: You son of- Dick: Jason!

Tim, walking through the manor after pouring himself yet another cup of coffee:
Jason: Jesus, how many cups is that?
Tim: Umm…I’m not sure, I think 8?
Jason: Fuck, you might as well just try cocaine at this point.
Tim: …
Jason: That was a fucking joke. You better not be considering it.
Tim: No, you might actually be on to something.

Thinking about my previous thoughts about Dick adopting Tim and decided to take a giant leap further-
What if Dick somehow ended up adopting all of his siblings before Bruce could (so they were never technically his siblings)? Like Tim comes and finds him and tells him to become Robin again and instead of being like 'lol no' he sees a tiny child and is like 'fuck i need to protect him' and then it just goes downhill from there.
Tiny assassin child? New daughter.
Girl fighting back against her father's evil plans? Another daughter.
Another assassin child? Son.
GoawayBruceIdon'tcareifhe'syourbiologicalchildhe'sminenow
He and Barbara fight over custody sometimes but they are officially his. And Bruce is tired because he suddenly has a lot of grandchildren.
And then Jason comes back and is like 'thank god I avoided all this' and Dick's like 'NOPE you're mine now Bruce lost his chance'

I like to imagine Duke is the only one who knows Jason’s magic, because he can literally see it on him. The swords are floating in his back or ties to his arms or some such. He doesn’t bring it up, not his business, until one day they’re in a fight and things are looking dicy. Jason’s injured and punches aren’t doing anything, so duke just… picks up one of the swords.
Cue horror and confusion from everyone including Jason.

Easter
Dick, wiping off his hands from where he and the others were dyeing Easter eggs: "So, Jason.. Did you put out all of the plastic eggs for Tim and Damian's Easter egg hunt?"
Jason: "Yeah, yeah, I put out all the eg-"
Jason: …
Jason: "Wait, plastic eggs?"
Dick: "Yeah? The plastic eggs we bought at the store last week?"
Jason: …
Jason: Went to Clark's farm and just asked for a bunch of eggs without actually telling Clark what they were for so Clark just gave him regular, fertilized eggs.
Damian, outside in the garden: GASP
Tumblr media
Damian: "Chickies!!"

HC that Bruce’s gremlin children hack Bruce's comms and play romantic music whenever he's in close proximity to Clark, which inevitably throws off Bruce's stoic façade and amuses the alien enough that he blushes.
Bruce didn't give the kids the satisfaction of knowing how much it annoyed him until Dick decided to start doing it in the middle of when Bruce was chewing out Hal.

*at a cafe*
Dick: What would you like?
Damian: Black coffee
Waiter: Sugar or-
Damian: No sugar
Waiter: Are you sure?
Damian: Yes
*later*
Damian, after 1 sip: Richard
Dick: Yeah?
Damian: I'm experiencing regret

I can't get the image out of my head of:
Damian: "Drake."
Tim: "No names in field."
Damian: "Cease your whining, Drake."
Tim: *takes a measured breath in and out before realizing that he has a solution that doesn't resort to murder* "Alright, bet."
This is the true reason behind the Drake vigilante persona

Tim on his computer doing whatever
Damian just climbed on Tim lap too tired to hide anything
Tim:it’s very late Damian you had nightmares again ?
Damian: no I just couldn’t sleep imbecile
Tim:then go back to your room
Damian:just shut up
As damian closed his eyes
Tim just rolled his eyes as he turns down his computer brightness and let Damian fall asleep on him

Random fact:
Bats sometimes adopt isolated or abandoned babies from their colony.
Bruce is a Bat. Gotham is his colony.
You see where I’m going with this, right?

AU - Ra's al Ghul being a grandfather to all of the Wayne kids
During their ongoing petty battles, Tim makes the mistake of calling Ra's "grandpa" as an insult. He meant it as a term to call the man old.
Ra's did not take it this way.
After being called "grandpa" by his rival/desired heir (pt. 3), he starts to wonder if all of Bruce's kids consider him to be their grandfather (they do not).
Cue Ra's al Ghul picking up grandparent guidebooks and trying to implement the advice. Because he's so out of touch with reality and society (he's a 600 year old assassin cult leader), he doesn't implement them correctly.
His go to method for hangouts with any of the Wayne kids is kidnapping. They don't know he's just trying to spend time with them. There's a ton of miscommunication.
Ra's quickly learns that if he has grandfather-grandchild time with Damian by himself, the Waynes.... overreact (they're not overreacting. They think Ra's is kidnapping Damian for some nefarious plot). Ra's then starts kidnapping Damian with one of his siblings for group hangouts.
He also will have grandfather-grandchildren days when Talia visits Bruce. He wants them to be able to spend time without the kids interrupting (even if the kids are in another country from Bruce, Ra's still kidnap them. Talia is also going to Bruce to beat him up for Damian instead of a date. Ra's thinks it's just their relationship dynamic).
The old man also spends a lot of time debating what makes someone a Wayne kid. Bruce's adoption habit makes this needlessly more difficult. He eventually lands on only considering those Damian claims as his siblings as his grandchildren.
It gets to the point that Ra's al Ghul even starts lecturing Bruce when he's being an ass to the grandkids.
How Ra's spoils his grandkids:
Damian - Ra's sets up a bunch of animal sanctuaries around the world. He takes the kid to all of them and seriously implements all of his ideas. He also sends him expensive, rare art supplies that can double as weapons (Damian thought the paints doubling as poison were fun to use).
Jason - The Outlaws get access to a bunch of weapons and gear. He also occasionally provides assistance or information.
Tim - Ra's doesn't do anything different. They already "hang out" a ton when Tim is in a petty and vindictive mood (Tim tries to fuck up Ra's day and the ancient bastard sees it as a bonding activity).
Cass - Ra's, after seeing that Cass sometimes experiences issues communicating with civilians, starts funding organizations that increase accessibility. He also attends every single recital she has.
Duke - Ra's provides access to his research material so that Duke might be able to find a way to help his parents. He also buys him really expensive glasses and blackout curtains to help with his migraines
Steph - The old man will gift wrap people who were shitty to Steph so that she can beat them up or get revenge. Her many hobbies (gaming, gymnastics, music, etc.) get funded as well.
Dick - Ra's either kidnaps Dick with a sibling he hasn't seen for a bit (allowing Dick to have quality time), or he'll enforce self care days for the acrobat.
Barbara - She is helped by the same organizations that help Cass, but Ra's usually just provides her with information the Birds of Prey can use.

Red Robin AU: Maximum Angst
Tim left to go save Bruce. It didn't matter that no one believed him. It didn't matter that his loved ones, people he trusted, tried to stop him. It didn't matter that everyone wrote his theories off as some sort of mental breakdown and grief stage denial. None of that mattered.
Tim was right, and he was going to prove it.
Two years after Tim left, Dick gets a phone call. It's from Superman.
During a JL mission, some villain gets away from a large JL team up by mentioning one fact: Bruce died in the timestream waiting for someone to save him. He had left clues, as many as he could given his circumstances, of his continued existence and predicament.
Dick, with the help of Damian and some of the JL, leaves Gotham to gather the evidence. Even after two years, art curators and museums are weirdly tense when he brings up the exact piece he wants to see.
A few months of carefully collecting his dad's last momentos occur before Dick has the realization: Tim was right.
Oh gods, Tim!
He can't believe, with all the responsibilities he had to juggle, that he just forgot about Tim!
This cues another frantic search as Dick retraces all of Tim's steps. The man allows himself a little laugh when he realizes that Alvin Draper is wanted for being an art thief.
Despite the sloppily covered trails, Dick finds himself at a dead end. The last location Tim might have gone to is in the middle of a desert. When Dick arrives at the spot, an LoA assassin is waiting for him.
Batman is glad that he's dressed in his uniform, he's glad that Damian didn't accompany him, and Dick prepares for the attack.
The assassin regards him neutrally.
The vigilante lowers his fists, but he's still tense in preparation. The assassin rolls their eyes and holds their hand out.
There's a com.
"What's that for?" Batman growls out.
Another eye roll from the assassin as they sigh. "Ra's knows you're looking for Timothy Drake-Wayne."
Hesitantly, the retired acrobat plucks up the com. After placing it in his ear, a smug voice greets him.
The Demon's Head cordially invites Batman to dinner.
Great.
Dick, wanting to find out where his brother is, has no choice but to follow the assassin to what's most definitely a trap.
Later, when Dick is haunted by the memories he desperately combs to liberate himself from his guilt, he'll darkly chuckle as he longs for it to have been a trap.
When the doors swing open to reveal Ra's al Ghul lounging at the head of the table, a feast is laid out before the young man. He forces himself to sit at the opposite end and listen to Ra's prattle on and on about how extraordinary Tim is. How the young outcast knew his father was alive. How he had to resort to taking Ra's hand in order to finish his quest.
As the evening is winding down, Dick had only spoken a handful of sentences. Ra's swirls a wine glass and gazes wistfully into its crimson hue.
"It's a shame, Richard, that it took you twenty-six months to scour for information about Timothy. I'm sure the realization of such would bring him despair."
There's a pause as the Detective's successor runs mental calculations. It has been thirty months since Tim left Gotham.
Emerald eyes, not too dissimilar to the shade of green Dick's son owns, bear down on a man too small for Batman's mantle.
"He died knowing his death would kill his father. It's a shame we lost them both that day."
