On first watch of Carmen Sandiego I had no idea why they kept Mime Bomb around and passed him because I had no idea what he does

On rewatch I still have no idea what he does but he does it very well

Like any time he's on the mission if a bag is fumbled its sure as shit now while he's holding it; Any time Carmen gets the stolen item its either before he steps in the picture or after he's handed it off to someone else

He's aware of everyone and everything around him, is an excellent spy, confuses the shit out of the enemy enough to trick them into missing details they wouldn't usually miss, is great at thinking on his feet and doing unorthodox things, and for being completely mute, is actually a solid communicator?

Like this dude cannot run, fight, or speak and you'd think that would be a problem when your entire job is trying to deal with Carmen Sandiego while stealing things

But it's not and he's actually better at that than almost all of his colleagues

The embodiment of "The enemy won't know what we're doing if we don't either" and "Be confusing enough to survive" and it kinda works out great for him

Tried stepping out of my comfort zone with this one, kept the lineart messy and went for colors instead of b&w. Not 100% happy with it, but that’s okay

anyway I decided my blog is for me and I can draw and post all the weird silly concepts of my dreams and nobody can stop me. I actually have a lot of potential comic ideas ping-ponging in my head for this AU — not a linear story or anything (beyond what's on this post), just some good fun and shenanigans.

Okay, i don't know if a couple of weeks is long enough to post my zine entry. I've actually been taking a break from tumblr lately for my mental health so i'm just gonna schedule this for tomorrow and say if you haven't, please go check out the other creators contributions to the @carmencasefileszine that is still free and available!
