So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????

I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.

Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?

We’re really anxious to make this post but we’re in a tough situation~

We’ve been between homes for about a year now- we’re currently staying in our mothers car but she says we need to be out of her car by April 13th-

Because of how difficult it is to save while homeless -because of things like being forced to eat out for every/any meal bc you don’t have a place to cook- we haven’t been able to save enough for an apartment

We found some places for rent around but they all want 1st and last months rent and a security deposit equal to one months rent- of the apartments around us the cheapest are $1,000 a month and we’d need 3,000 just to move into an apartment- we can afford monthly but we don’t have the $3000 deposit

We have a little under a month till we have to be out of our moms car and we’d really appreciate if anyone could help us out even just a little bit- we set up a GoFundMe- any little but would help so much even just a reblog :’3

I mean yes, but not a lot. Fanfiction is amazing and arguably it's own art form, and has a different purpose to books. Most fanfiction does not have the same literary techniques as books written by people who know what they are doing. And that's okay! Fanfiction is an expression of love (or amusement or frustration etc) at an already existing piece of work. It doesn't need to do the same world and character building as an original book does. In fact, fanfiction doesn't have to (although it sometimes does) do a lot of the heavy lifting an original piece of work does. I'm not saying one is better than the other! They are just different.

That being said, I have read some truly terrible books.

Nimona-Ambrosius friendship headcanons

Bal was really worried these two wouldn't get on at first, but he didn't need to worry

After they got over the initial "if you hurt Bal I'll end you stage," they get on really great

Ambrosius actually really loves Nimona's shapeshifting ability, and one of the first things he asks is "Can you turn into a bear? I've always wanted to hug a bear but I can't hug a wild one,"

Ambrosius is a cuddle bug, and loves lying on the sofa squished between Bal and a massive Shark

Ambrosius is also neurodivergent, and meeting Nimona gives him the confidence to stop masking all of the time

Nimona suddenly finds herself a little overwhelmed with how she's a "hero" and everyone loves her and wants to thank her for saving them, so she and Ambrosius commiserate about how people always swarm them in public spaces
