her words were more of her own thoughts. a life once full of brightness. and over the years, that light seemed to dim down some. mostly because of the guilt and the loss but she was trying to hang onto any and all hope. coming to the bookstore was a constant for the blonde. she found solitude in it. and of course who could resist a good book or two? she'd never really speak to the girl. a familiar face that she saw nearly every time she came into the shop. her gaze remained on the girl though while she spoke. words that actually made a lot of sense to the vampire. after a minute, she nodded. "that actually explains a lot. makes sense. "

shay was tidying up the shelf to the right of her desk when caroline spoke. it caught her off guard for a moment. caroline probably wouldn’t be considered a friend exactly. more of an acquaintance at the moment. a patron of the bookstore. a customer? a regular mayhaps. but not someone that shay would have thought would throw out a philosophical statement like that to her of all people. but she turns.

I think for my own sanity, I'm moving blogs again. With a new url. I'll be moving threads and care's connections. I'm all together not wanting to be apart of any drama. When I do move blogs, let it be known that after following some of y'all back, I won't be following first period. I'm so tired of the crap. It's a new year. I just want peace. I don't wanna feel overwhelmed, stressed, nor do I want my anxiety to be constantly high like it's been.

just thinking about how caroline has never killed anyone until 1985 and when she did and even after her humanity was turned back on, she'd truthfully admit that she enjoyed killing people. ;-; but also she felt so much guilt over it at the same time. like it's a battle within herself. because the raw feeling of having that much control of someone's life but also...it's her natural instincts/urges so of course it would feel good. but also, she hates doing it at the same time because she doesn't want to be that very thing her father accused her of being and she doesn't like to hurt anyone.
