it truly is kinda strange the view that seems to have grown in the deltarune community of toby fox, with the whole "tricky tony" kinda persona. like you seem to have a community of people who are invested in a piece of art but also seem to have decided its creator is nothing but a memelord irony-poisoned troll who likes to fuck with his audience for no reason by subverting his game for no reason because he thinks its funny. like you really can find this strange crowd of people who, conciously or not apprently, think of toby as a kinda shitty dev and shitty storyteller who doesn't care about his work at all, specially in the theory part of the community where some people see it as stupid and futile to care or be invested enough in the art they love by anazlying lore/themes/foreshadowing because none of it means anything and toby will just subvert everything for no reason but to make the people who cared about his work look stupid so he can silently laugh about it alone in his room. and it sure is a strange mindset for the Fanbase of a piece of art to have devolved into but here we are anyway
