I've been in the mood enough lately to talk negatively about anything without being embarrassed or afraid that someone won't be interested/dislike it, so if you want my opinion on such matters, I'm always here!

1) I hate Laurence-femboys (which is MOSTLY part of the ship). Really, I can't see him as a long-haired handsome man anymore, it makes me sick. Head of a church, grown man, scientist - everywhere he looks like a 16 year old onlifans guy. I think it's so disgusting mostly because of the abundance of same interpretations of the character. For some reason, everyone chose the most obvious sexualization of all possible. And I'm not even saying that the statue in Research Hall is most likely him. So Laurence is probably canonically bearded. I'm not saying anything at all, I just don't like it

2) The ship is too obvious. Plus, the knight/lord type in its full sense doesn't fit here. See, I believe Ludwig was willing to die for the head of the church, but I don't believe there could have been room for sweet romance and such. Maybe for Gascoigne/Viola. But not for two male(!) most important people in the Church

Holyvicar looks like Naruto/Sasuke for me. And it's The MAIN pair of this fucking swamp of a fandom

3) I don't even know what the discourse is about. I just hate the moment when I decided to open a random Ludwig/Laurence fanfic and read a completely unrelated sketch where again someone is fucking someone on drugs or two characters from a gothic setting are acting like 13 year old girls in love (in the most bad way you can think of 13 y/o girls)

4) I don't know if I'd be this angry if I'd never been in the fandom. Probably not.

5) Most people here have probably never seen real grown men and have no idea of their behavior. I can feel it.
