The next world is here! Hold onto your hat, and keep your arms and legs inside the ride at all times.

What a world. After nearly two years of sporadic, unexplained meteor showers, rumors of prophetic dreams containing cryptic messages are popping up all over the world. Hoping to get to the bottom of these strange dreams, an experimental study has been announced, and they’re looking for potential applicants. With an all-expense-paid cruise transporting any lucky participants to a top-secret resort in the Bermuda Triangle, what could possibly go wrong?
Crisis Averted! is a 18+ discord-based Danganronpa OC roleplay set in areas themed around popular MKG tropes, featuring characters who meet alternate timeline versions of themselves. With inspirations such as Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, No Straight Roads, and Dragon Ball Z, this game will follow a 3-week schedule, feature a cast of 17 non-mod OCs, a dead world mechanic that encourages regular interaction between living and dead characters, and a story that focuses on character development - specifically, in discovering what really makes you you.
Our game will feature a queue-based trial system, private investigations with investigation groups and a private thread server, to avoid cluttering up everyone’s DMs. The game will allow both characters connected to Hope’s Peak, as well as those with no connections whatsoever. Throughout the game, living characters will have various opportunities to meet and interact with alternate versions of themselves, in private or in public. In addition, dead players will have the opportunity to take over an alternate version of themselves after their OC has died, in order to still thread and interact with the living cast. ⋙ ABOUT

Farewell For Now, Maybe Not For Long
Simply put, we’d like to thank all of our players, all of our spectators, as well as anyone who has ever read or looked at our blog, for your support in making this game real. Farewell Fateful Dread has finished, and the fact that we were able to make this together for and with all of you is still hard to believe. With the rest of the game uploaded to the blog...we’ll say still to keep a lookout for a final message. We can’t say when, but we can say that while not a sequel...something is coming. And we’ll see you all then.

"What's the point of this, huh? Let's start with the basics, then. The why. I'm no different than the rest of you. Don't claim to be, even standing up here. I never wanted to be special in the first place, and I can only assume most of you really didn't, either. At least... not for what you're known for." "They're all the same: My parents. The Future Foundation. Every fucking person in power who thinks they can just control other people--try to force them to think the way they want or get them to do the things they want. Anyone who upholds those shitty notions that being talented, gifted, is the bar to reach. That you're somehow better than others. That you have to overwork yourself, give up parts of yourself for their sakes, shackle yourself to a future or a title that will never let you go until the day you die.” "There's no catch. This is my last resort. If you can't make a simple decision like this--one that I hope should be easy, regardless of your feelings towards me, then maybe there's no hope left for this stupid world, after all." Homura Akimoto, the mastermind of the fifth killing game.
CW For HANGING in the video: 1:38-1:49. That...an incident which plagued history in its mystery, in the danger, in the confusion that it caused, was a fabrication. 25 years ago, a student took fate into her own hands and caused a massacre at Hope’s Peak Academy, with the first killing game. That game’s master, Junko Enoshima, would go on to become an infamous name in history, and even long after her passing, the Future Foundation, the group behind Hope’s Peak and its many students, regretted her influence. After a schism which involved the departure of members who had been involved in one of Enoshima’s killing games, the foundation...looked to new Hope. The Hope Video, a device, a tool created from the very brainwashing that Enoshima once used to upturn the world, was used by the Foundation to slowly cause the world to forget her influence, in hopes of no one ever using her or the killing games to come to fruition again. Four times was enough for a lifetime. But a true tragedy can’t be covered forever. With a visit to government offices on a trip with their family, Akimoto investigated the Future Foundation covertly, and upon learning of their secret history...began forming a plan. It took time, but it was time they were able to spend wisely. Finding an old relic of a robot that Enoshima used to host her games, and remodeling it in their own image. Hatobi. Using the stool pigeon to stage a take over of Hope’s Summit, after inserting their own name into the school’s roster. Using the very video the Foundation brainwashed the world with to make the students forget how the incident all started, and joining their ranks for a killing game proper. Back in the present, Homura confronted the survivors of the cast, returned from their very own faked death, and told their story. When the Bad Omen abilities of Fukashi Kaisen were starting to turn the tide against them...they needed to take a way out, and have an excuse to get rid of their once vital insurance. But now, their time was over. It was no dramatic, bloody end. They didn’t want execution. A final vote, and it was done. Destroying the Hope Video, preventing the Future Foundation from ever controlling the world again...they were finished. Homura parted from the survivors, awaiting the judgment of the law, as eight students would walk through the hidden corridors of the school, one last time, to final, apparent freedom. Time has always been a funny thing. A construct created by the world for people to manage their own, self-created problems. People could give themselves more of it when they hadn't started a project soon enough, or when they claim they didn't have enough of it, or even when someone else wasn’t being reasonable. They could even wait, and wait, and wait, and still have just as much or as little as they did at the beginning as long as they were determined enough. Nevertheless, despite the strange and fickle nature of it, the things that happened in whatever short amount of time given could be an inconceivable number. The world, though, which had been around for more time than anything else, was still capable of changing. This seemed to be another period of that, dramatic as it would be. There had been ensuing debates on what was real or and not real for weeks after the incident known as “The Fifth Killing Game” which occurred at Hope's Summit University once its perpetuator was arrested by the authorities, and its survivors rescued. And in a series of reports led by two of the students involved in the event, Kiyoemon Eiichiro and Hikari Chino, a laundry list of accusations and claims were launched at both the Future Foundation as well as the Hope's line of schools, which prompted immediate national and international investigations. Along with the help of anonymous testimonies from former Future Foundation employees and rumored Hope's Peak students, suspicions were confirmed as a worldwide plan was quickly verified, leading to the arrests of several top officials of the Foundation. Future years of Hope's Peak and Hope's Summit would be immediately suspended, pending future investigation.  As for the students lost in the incident, funding from a recently discovered offshore Future Foundation bank account has been seized and poured into a national funeral service and are to be donated to the families of the lives that were taken away. In addition, plans were drafted to enact a national holiday to remember the students that were lost in the initial tragedy, which would be publicly documented for the world to know, and with more responsible aim, never forgotten again. Since then, a national controversy has been brewing considering the implications of the talent system, as well as the dangers that students were put under and would be put under in the future due to the history of the Hope's line of schools and the fate of many of its former students. Of course, there are always those who will do their best to keep things the way they are just as much as there are those who will fight for change. As a result of that, Hope's Peak had just as many  detractors as it had defenders, be it former students, parental board members, or members of the public. But the future was, is, and will always be uncertain. As the world turns, it changes.  The past of Junko Enoshima, the present of Homura Akimoto, everything else before, and after. Another killing game, but its survivors, as there almost always were, had their own stories to tell, and would continue to live on. There would always be more time even if it felt like there wasn’t. There were lives to lead and horizons to see. Recovery to be had. People to be remembered. Mistakes to be made. Things would happen at their own pace, but it would change all the same, and there would be moments of good and bad. But as the past was finally revealed, and there was nearly a roadmap for the future
There was and is only one last thing to be said. No matter what happened next, for these moments, and for those horrors....

"I wish... I wish it didn't have to be this way. I wanted... I wanted to keep going with all of you - to get out of here... with all of you!" "But... but if it has to be this way, then... then, please. It's what I want. Okay? You... can you all just do this for me, this one last thing? I... I can't go on without you all. I love you all.... I love you all so much, I... I can't. Please..." I'm sorry. I didn't want it to have to be like this. I wish we could've kept our promises to one another. I hope you'll be able to get through this without me. Not quite an accident. An omen, of worse things to come. After a long trial, the horrible reality was eventually realized, of the truth of what happened at the construction site. A horrid set of dominos were dramatically smashed into each other, in the turn of events that ended up with the ultimate glowstringer ending up crushed underneath the would have been memorial- starting from the simple act of Fukashi Kaisen, the Ultimate Bad Omen, forgetting to remove the keys from a crane. With the will of one last omen, Fukashi Kaisen’s aura that had haunted him his whole life, pushed forward a final series of dangerous steps, that painted him responsible for yet another death. Sacrifice. Loss. Those were things that he’d known every day, and how had to confront one final time, head on. But his final sacrifice was not without its boons, as little as they compared to how much everyone else would soon be able to never see again. Being able to see now, the outside. An army of Hatobis, pushing off against a literal arms of its own, soldiers, tanks, riot squads; the students had those who wanted to rescue them, but their efforts had been pulled to a halt this whole time. The presence of one student, cruely mocked by Hatobi...the Ultimate Bad Omen allowed the game to continue as it did, that bad luck, those wicked events...were helped along, by something out of his control. With his absence, their captor knew that things were going to move quickly. The bad bird had lost his insurance, and while the group had lost yet another friend....the pain of this lost, and its motivation, would not go without a final push. Splash by Pip. Pixels by Reed. Exe by Tori and Sidney.

A shock. A fatal one. When death springs from the most unlikely of places, that’s when it hits the hardest. Happening in seconds, Kato Yoshimori, the Ultimate Forensic Pathologist, was stricken down by their captors wicked rebut. An argument over Jack- the baby ‘son’ of their captor, of whom Yoshimori, Nani Jackson, and Fukashi Kaisen had taken kind, loving care over. Someone to raise, to have look up to them. A true baby, who didn’t know much in the world, but that he enjoyed saying the ‘f’ word, and that he loved his parents. In an argument with Hatobi’s claims that the three’s parentship over the young Jack didn’t matter....like a protective parent, Yoshimori struck back. He got revenge, attacked, made a true impact, for a moment...and was gone, the next. There was still a trial. There was still an investigation. But, before that...as there was always time for, there was more mourning. Memories for who was lost. But who couldn’t be forgotten. Art by Del and Vina.

A rare benefit to all, although to most of all as always, their wicked captor. If someone killed, then regardless of getting away with it, upon voting, everyone would get a peek outside at the ominously mentioned outside world. A look at what they missed, what could be happening out there...made no one feel comforted. In the meantime, unity was thought to be a presentable option, as the group moved together to begin building a memorial in memory of everyone who had been lost so far. But from a wicked late night noise, everyone was brought back to the site to witness Homura Akimoto, the Ultimate Glowstringer, crushed before their eyes; and with them, left another spark of hope. The memorial called to a halt, it was time for yet another investigation, and hopefully...there wouldn’t be many others left. Art by Tori and Vina.

"Boo! Boo-fucking-hoo! No point in-- In that. Anymore. Whatever, whatever. Half of you think I'm the most selfish bitch alive, right? Surprise. You're right! Guess what, you're right! I don't know shit about whoever's running this game. How the fuck could I change anything?" "Why would I change anything? This was for me. I picked me, over Gochi, over all of you, so if you're going to fucking vote me out, do it knowing that none of this was for you." "For what it's worth, I think that's bullshit. Also, Mephanie Steyer was a bad writer. I'll miss you." A chance to go back. A chance to make up for mistakes, and a change to stop a wicked killing game from happening in its entirety. It was worth the risk for the killer, Lily Huang, the Ultimate Poet. A party to help everyone’s spirits, the chance was taken to try to take out multiple people at once. But when the poison wasn’t taken, the plan was hatched to poison Gochi da Costa’s favorite drinks, as Baja Blast became a deadly murder weapon. Falling among them, his grace was stolen away. With other names accused, it would have been possible for the true culprit to get away with it. If it wasn’t for the realization that she was hiding the stain of the poison under her gloves, the entire cast could have been executed, only for the former loan shark self-proclaimed to escape. Claims of being selfish, others of wanting to use the machine to truly change the past, to save them all...weren’t enough in the end, to save someone from execution. They could only hope there would be so many trials and tribulations left. With two of their loudest spirits gone...quiet, true quiet, only brought tension. And that was the last thing they needed, in their hopeless times. Splash by Pip. Pixels by Reed. Exe by Tori and Vina.

Even the most ridiculous motives seem to be able to still bear deadly fruit. Upon the offer of a time machine to anyone who would commit the next murder and get away with it, claimed by Hatobi to be the genuine article, few thought it would truly tempt anyone. But after a spirit-lifting party, things already turned south, as several students began to feel ill, and one of them took a nap on the floor....leading to the eventual body discovery of Gonçalo Pedreira, the Ultimate Windsurfer. A death dropped among them, and it even took a few minutes to notice...and as they all knew, for their investigation, they would only have so much longer than that. Art by Tori.

A normal event seemed not to be that- what Hatobi shakily claimed to be a battle of laser tag turned into an apparent rescue attempt, as four mystery former students sent by the Future Foundation staked a blackout and attempted rescue and recon mission, thwarted by their winged captor before too much was able to be said. After a brief misunderstanding, forces were turned on the bird, and a few mysterious words were shared, talks of despair, someone being in control of everything within the school...but with the four's sudden ejection, and an attempt by Hatobi to paint the incident as a dream after brief memories of him with his own bird-sized phone...the group would have to press on. And more than ever, keep their eyes open. Art by Pip.

"I AM [APOTHEOSIS]! I AM TRUE TO THE NAME; THE CLIMAX! ABOVE ANY AND ALL!" “Any and all will know! To be PHILISTINE is to be apex! To be PHILISTINE is to be the climax! To be PHILISTINE is to be final! To be PHILISTINE...!” "Speak...! Say something! Say something, and end this stupid gig! I, [APOTHEOSIS]...! I..." "... that's... right. I... am just a performer. That's all. I'm... no... dramatic- or, a fan of... flair. No, I..." "I... am not [APOTHEOSIS]. I am Kairi Uenoongakusai. Musician... and murderer alike.”
A wicked mistake. After a grueling trial, and discovering that the life of Natsuki Ishioka was taken by the newly realized Kanon Kawakami in a panic...Kairi Uenoongakusai, the true face of [APOTHEOSIS], discovered their grieving friend, and upon learning what she did...made their final choice. Kanon, Fukashi, Kairi, Ui, and Kato had won a boon for the motive in an earlier game of Hatobi’s, memory chips that would be able to save their memories, before being lost to the motive. The group had worked together, to do what they could to try to duplicate the chips, and save everyone without blood shed, but...two lives were lost. Natsuki was called by the group to help with her mechanical knowledge, but the very memories they were attempting to recover and preserve overwhelmed Kanon, disposing of the mechanic...and meeting the same fate soon after herself. After taking the false queen away from the world, and a series of events involving dancing birds, a stolen fursuit, and countless lies...a final performance was held. Memories had to be saved, and while everyone’s had returned, it was with the terrible cost of another one of them fallen down. The first true murderer brought to fall within the group, and one despised by some, and grieved early by others. Kairi made a sacrifice and a mistake- and but they would not run away from the spotlight for their last time. Another friend, lost, one of the kinder, most gentle souls in the group, and... As the trial ended, they all knew, this was still far from the end proper itself. Versus by Pip and Vina. Pixels by Reed. Execution by Tori.

A motive more horrid than most. When the cast were informed that they would slowly lose their memories of their loved ones day by day, until someone took another life, tensions were high, until two were discovered nearly a week later. Natsuki Ishioka, the Ultimate Mechanic, and not the Ultimate Queen, but the Ultimate Romance Novelist, Kanon Kawakami, were discovered in separate rooms, after a morning’s gift of returning memories only proved to be another punishment in disguise. With two fallen friends to investigate, this was the first time since that first chapter that a pair had fallen...and this time, they already knew both were dead for sure. With a wiggling fursuit, blasting music, and hints of the past from a now-benign memory machine...as always, there was certainly work to be done. Body drops by Tori and Vina.

A reprieve lead to more despair, but the moments of joy it brought were important nonetheless. Kato Yoshimori and Fukashi Kaisen treated the group to a rousing game of tabletop adventuring, which seemed to go swimmingly until their captor showed himself, and attempted to bull his way into the game. Upon not getting what he wanted, the persnickety jailbird decided to have a little bit of fun, and reveal a series of secrets throughout the cast, including several of which who hadn’t been entirely honest to their true talents. With spirits lower than ever, heads were attempted to be held high...but as always, no one knew quite how long it would last. Our Roster Page has been updated, to reflect newly revealed talents, as well as public bios. Tabletop Art and Sonas by Del and Sidney! Hatobi Sona by Tori.

"Hatobi. If you go through with this. I swear, to every last person in this room, that I will find whatever person's controlling you, and I'll fucking kill you." “Hiroko. I thought I told you. Quit it with the knight in shining armor at. I...apologize. For the trouble we both caused. Thank you for everything. Take care of Hela for me, please."
Once more, it seemed like things could never be simple. Through a series of events started by Gochi da Costa, the Ultimate Windsurfer, and a fall that ultimately involved run-ins with both Ui Tabikawa, the Ultimate Deltioloist, and Hikari Chino, the Ultimate Festival Planner, the fall of the Ultimate Prince was one ultimately most orchestrated by the royalty himself. After realizing his own fall was imminent after an accident, he took himself out, and aimed to cause a mistrial upon his death to allow his beloved sister to escape. Upon the cast misunderstanding that Kara was the true killer, Hatobi informed her that she could indeed leave as her brother wished; but that if she did, the mistrial would cause the death of each and every one of the other students left. A responsible young woman, someone willing to self-sacrifice....Kara accepted execution instead, as a proper fall, with no killer to take the real spot. She was not alone. A friend, an ally, someone who wished to protect her life with his own- Hiroko Masaru, the Ultimate Voice Actor, was thrown into the execution as a cruel taunt to the soon to be fallen princess. But upon the arrival of her brother’s missing bird to free the princess’s would be knight, Hiroko took the brutal strike for the woman he wanted to protect. Of course, this was against the rules. With someone taking harm in an execution who was supposed to be kept safe, Hatobi called the act off to a sudden halt, leaving only Kara’s scream to inform the surviving students of their fate. And the next day...upon the opening of the new areas to the campus, a call was put out to the infirmary. An injured but alive Hiroko was resting, with Kara greeting them at his side. Their captor was understandably upset not to have another death, but allowed it under unique cases of a mistrial. For now...there was a trial, without any more deaths. At least for this moment, and this chapter in their lives, it was still a gift. Hikari by Wren. Trial Splash by Pip. Pixels by Reed. Execution by Tori.

After the last trial, a reprieve was offered, although difficult to understand if it was a gift or a curse. In a mysterious room from before, two monitors sprung to life with the familiar visages of the fallen, as the wicked Hatobi explained the situation. From Hope’s Summit’s own goals and purposes, artificial intelligence were prepared for all of the cast, and upon deaths, the bird would awaken one for each fallen. Not a permanent solution, but simply a temporary look back into those fallen, lost moments weren’t as far gone as they seemed to be. But time passed. And more would fall. A simple motive, caused brutal horror. When Hatobi announced to the cast that anyone who was successful in killing another would be able to escape with one person for every victim slain, the threat was laughed off. Who would kill for such selfish reasons? When Meili Dahlström, the Ultimate Prince, turned up slain, the quest for that answer began. With one royal slain, and two more still surviving, the time before the next trial was beginning to tick down as quick as ever.  Body drop by Tori.

"I think everyone has reasons to be fearful... maybe even Circe too. I don't know the full reason behind... why all of this happened. I sort of doubt my experiment would have worked to let everyone escape either way. But I wanted to work for it because I thought maybe I could see everyone's relieved and happy faces again. To think that maybe I did something good or useful without having to worry about something going wrong." “Ok...I’m going, now.” A surprise, but an unwelcome one. The first class trial seemed to be going towards a predictable end- two students, taken out by a tragic mistake. But upon the dramatic reveal of Circe Silver, the Ultimate Zoologist’s involvement in the case- manipulation that pushed Yasushi into desperate action, the betrayal was felt throughout the class. The Ultimate Pyrotechnician was tricked into planning an escape attempt, which only resulted in the death of his classmate, Caspari, and nearly his own death as well. Covered by the rocks in the initial explosion, he was undiscovered as surviving by the mascot until his key emergence in the trial, not that it did him any good. The true killer, the one who pulled the trigger, Yasushi Higa was executed, and the orchestrator, Circe Silver, would go on with the group. With the first trial complete, their captor was more than pleased with the results, and let the cast return to the campus proper. With a dangerous figure now revealed, they would only have to bide their time, until whatever it was that came next. Hopefully, and perhaps that was a foolish word...it would not be as cruel a surprise. Pixels by Reed. Trial Splash by Tori. End of trial splash by Pip and Vina. Execution by Tori and Vina.

With the clamorous sounds of mischievous wings at work, the class was gathered to yet another meeting by their captor; although this time, there were several dozen of him at the scene. Managing a Hatobi-run news broadcast, a message was made clear from the first breaking bulletin- fed-up with a lack of action, motivation was needed to push the cast into action. Until the first person broke and made a decision to kill, horrid weather conditions would hit the campus each day! The wonders, and terrors of technology. With a reward from a certain cooking competition, certain students would be better off than others, but....how long could anyone last under such duress?
As time would tell...not nearly as long as anyone would like. Only a few days later, in the midst of a storm and harrowing earthquakes- a horrid discovery was made among the now ruined mines.
Yasushi Higa, the Ultimate Pyrotechnician, and Caspari Laiche, the Ultimate Jeweler, were found dead. Stranded on an island in the rockbed, the bodies were barely given enough time to be seen by their former peers for one last time, as rubble and rocks covered the pair, and cascaded down, down, down, into the depths below.
Their captor seemed pleased, but impatient. An investigation would begin....but who knows, for how long, before they were forced to judge each other, and find the culprit?
Time would tell. But clearly...it was of the essence.

PROLOGUE AND CHAPTER ONE: START!
As may have happened countless times before,
19 students woke up in a strange, foreign location
, with no memory of which to as how they arrived.
Placed onto a seemingly ordinary seeming stage of a theater, they explored the powerless building both for an exit, as well as following the mysterious instructions let on a single piece of paper,
'BRING EGG',
searching for nine eggs throughout the building's walls. After familiarizing themselves with each other briefly, the nine eggs were eventually retrieved and once open, revealed an ominous message
"Those who control the past, can rewrite the future"
, which caused the once-lost power of the building to once more spring to life.
The only possible source of the eggs, a distant sound of,
"Coo, coo, coo...!"
echoing from somewhere in the building, four students decided to enact a plan.
[APOTHEOSIS]
, the Ultimate Rhythmic Musician,
Nani Jackson
, the Ultimate Beautician,
Circe Silver
, the Ultimate Zoologist, and
Fukashi Kaisen
, the Ultimate Dropout, decided to lay a trap, in hope of bringing their captor to light.
Although the trap failed at first, a loud, clamorous noise run out long after the four had left, bringing everyone back in to the theater, just in time to see a strange, bizarre sight;
a blue and white bird
, cutting himself out of a curtain-covered trap, with the held of a switch blade.
Announcing himself as Hatobi
, the jangling jailbird wasted no time in announcing his plan, of holding a dangerous killing game for the college ultimates.
This theater and these grounds would be their new home,
unless someone struck down another student, and attempted to get away with the crime. After a brief escape puzzle opening up the rest of the campus to the students, revealing itself to indeed be
Hope's Summit University
itself, tensions were high, and anxieties were higher...but, much to his pleasure, no one would be higher than the new, avian tormentor, gleefully flying high in the electric-gate-covered skies above.
