Cannabis Oil
<h1>Cannabis Oil-What Exactly is it</h1> Cannabis oil is almost as old as the history of man himself. It can be traced back literally thousands of years and has been used to treat a myriad of health conditions by many different cultures. It has made its way into perfumes, candles, soap and some forms of food.
Cannabis oil is a highly concentrated compound and as a result, only small quantities are required to have a therapeutic result-both in the body and in the brain. <h2>What is Cannabis?</h2> Cannabis (or as it is known in North America) is more term used in reference to the Cannabis sativa plant. This plant, when matured, produces sticky residues known as trichomes. These trichomes contain a variety of cannabinoids including tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) as well as other including CBD-cannabidioll). THC is known for its psychoactive effects and CBD is known for its therapeutic effects. <h2>What is Hemp Oil?</h2> Not to be confused with Cannabis Oil, Hemp Oil is different in that it is derived by pressing the seeds of the same plant genus to derive highly rich oil. Hemp is differentiated from Cannabis plants in that it only contains trace elements of THC, while still containing many of the other Cannabinoids.
Hemp has been used by man for a variety of purposes for many years and has many industrial applications due to its fibrous properties-making ideal for cloth, construction, and paper. Additionally, it can be used as a base compound for oils and other topical.Due to a strong anti-marijuana lobby in the 1930s, fed by a zealous and unfounded fear of the dangerous misuse of marijuana, cannabinoids targeted for medicinal purposes were banned in the United States and many other countries.
Due to a strong anti-marijuana lobby in the 1930s, fed by a zealous and unfounded fear of the dangerous misuse of marijuana, cannabinoids targeted for medicinal purposes were banned in the United States and many other countries.
It took decades of activist engagement, medical community study to begin to reconsider therapeutic applications to this natural plant and even to this day, it is still highly regulated and in many States, banned completely. <h2>Cannabis Today</h2> Cannabis can be traced back to Central Asia and parts of the Middle East, but today it has become ubiquitous wit almost every country having an either public or underground community. In the Untied States, it is still a controlled substance and is classified as Schedule 1-meaning that it has the capacity for abuse and addiction. <h2>Cannabinoids</h2> There is a growing body of clinical study and medical agreement that despite the potential for mild psychological addiction, the macro-beneficial applications to cannabis oils and the included cannabinoids is becoming too plentiful to ignore. This website will explore many of these applications in greater detail, while stating the specific research to which it pertains.
In general terms, diseases such as anorexia, emesis, chronic pain, inflammation, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, glaucoma, schizophrenia, obesity, cardiovascular disorder, osteoporosis, cancer, glaucoma, neurodegenerative diseases (such as ALS) and metabolic syndrome-related issues are all being viewed as potential beneficiaries of treatment through cannabis oils through the complex synergistic interaction between various cannabinoids. One of the great Catch 22 situations in modern health, is that there would be more clinical studies to support these therapeutic investigations if there wasn’t such intrusive governmental constriction. Despite this the number of patients seeking a multitude of relief are looking to cannabis as part of their regiment for relief and improved quality of life. <h2>So What is in Cannabis that makes it so good?</h2> In a word-cannabinoids (or more specifically phytocannabinoids-in its plant form. These are a group of compounds produced exclusively by the cannabis species. <h3>The top cannabinoids in Cannabis</h3> While THC is the most active psycho-active compound, other cannabinoids known to be bioavailable and having potential human are: <ol> <li>cannabinol,</li> <li>cannabidiol,</li> <li>cannabichromene</li> <li>cannabigerol,</li> <li>tetrahydrocannabivarin and</li> <li>delta-8-THC.</li> </ol> Cannabidiol is believed to have the most therapeutic potential without the psychoactive effects of THC. <h2>So what is best for me?</h2> Faced with all this emerging science and xxx evidence, those new to the world of medical marijuana are often overwhelmed by the choices rapidly becoming available on the market. While choice is always good, informed and reliable information must be the basis for any self-administered disease management protocol. Many doctors are still loath to dive into this brave new world of organic medication, so often times it is left to the sufferer to do their own research.
To assist in this process, we have provided a base overview of the terminology and the various options currently available <h2>How is medical cannabis oil defined?</h2> Medical cannabis oil is derived from the resin bearing glands on the outside of the plant. These oils are rendered typically by a number of different processes including solvents and CO2 extraction. In the process of doing this, a highly concentrated oil is rendered containing all the natural cannabinoids intact.
As this is a new field of therapy, terms get thrown around sometimes with multiple or different means depending on who is using them.
In general, there are a number of different products that are being referenced as “cannabis oil”
While still unproven definitively, many informed users and those that have studied it, believe there are synergistic benefits from cannabis oil derived extracted from cannabis buds with as little processing as possible keeping this synergy as intact as possible
The Following is a breakdown of the different forms of cannabis oil currently available: <h2>Full extract</h2> Full extracted oil is made from either the buds or the leaves or sometimes both of the cannabis plant. The extraction, as stated earlier can be done through a number of different methodologies including alcohol, solvents, and CO2 extraction. When using CO2 extraction much of the aroma (known as the terpenes) are also extracted. Some believe that these terpenes have specific benefits as well and this is a sub-optimal method
When full extracted, oil will contain a highly complex diversity of cannabinoids with over 400 chemical compounds interacting in diverse and synergistic relationships that we are only starting to fully understand. The chemical structural integrity of the plant remains intact and many believe this is the optimal form of the extract.
In essence, what has been isolated is all the active compounds found in a cannabis bud with the removal of all the organic material, rendering it in pure oil form. <h2>The Categories of Extracted Oil</h2> <h2>1. THC</h2> High THC plants will render a high THC oil making this concentrate highly psychoactive. THC levels can exceed 60% of the total volume of the oil, making these extracts ideal primarily for those suffering from extreme medical conditions including:
<ul> <li><a href=”http://herb.co/2017/02/10/cannabis-cure-cancer/”><strong>Cancer</strong></a></li> <li><a href=”http://herb.co/2016/10/31/cannabis-gut-heal-harm/”><strong>Gastrointestinal disorder</strong></a></li> <li><a href=”http://herb.co/2017/02/20/better-pain-relief-thc-cbd/”><strong>Chronic pain</strong></a></li> <li><a href=”http://herb.co/2016/02/13/marijuana-fibromyalgia-cannabis-best-treatment/”><strong>Fibromyalgia</strong></a></li> <li><a href=”http://herb.co/2016/07/19/cannabis-and-parkinsons-disease/”><strong>Parkinson’s Disease</strong></a></li> </ul> <h3>2. CBD</h3> Alternatively, plants with a high CBD content and lower THC contents will have a no psychoactive profile and is applicable to patients suffering from other disorders.
CBD is often said to have a calming indication that can improve focus and concentration as well as relaxation. They are considered excellent for indications of pain and stress during the daytime when productivity is desired.
The evidence for the therapeutic application of CBD is growing through every increasing cross section of studies and observational evidence.
Currently, the most widely accepted applications include: <ul> <li><a href=”http://herb.co/2015/12/28/marijuana-and-epilepsy/”><strong>Epilepsy</strong></a></li> <li>Cancer</li> <li>Chronic pain</li> <li><a href=”http://herb.co/2016/06/21/cannabis-defeat-anxiety/”><strong>Anxiety</strong></a></li> <li><a href=”http://herb.co/2016/06/26/mind-4-cannabis-fights-depression/”><strong>Depression</strong></a></li> <li><a href=”http://herb.co/2016/10/31/cannabis-heal-concussion/”><strong>Head trauma</strong></a></li> <li><a href=”http://herb.co/2017/02/09/alzheimers-treatment-medical-cannabis/”><strong>Alzheimer’s Disease</strong></a></li> </ul> <h3>3. 1:1Ratio THC to CBD</h3> 1:1 strains of cannabis are ones that have been cultivated to deliver both these therapies in equal amounts. Due to the complex nature of human disease, one ailment can have a trigger effect that creates another. In pharmacology, one medicine can cause a compensatory need for another. Chronic pain can lead to insomnia, for example requiring the patient to need treatment for the pain AND insomnia.
One-to-one extracts can help a patient with chronic diseases address the principal ailment as well as reduce the symptoms caused by that ailment. Also, there is a growing body of evidence that the CBD receptors in the brain and body are made more receptive with the combination of both of these two compounds. How strong a psychoactive effect of these one-to-one verities is depends largely on the patient, the potency, so it is very much a trial and error process to find what works best for you.
The potential benefits include: <ul> <li>Cancer</li> <li>Chronic pain</li> <li><a href=”http://herb.co/2016/07/28/marijuana-and-ms/”><strong>Multiple sclerosis</strong></a></li> <li>Head trauma</li> <li>Anxiety</li> <li>Depression</li> <li>Gastrointestinal disorder</li> <li><a href=”http://herb.co/2016/01/21/new-study-cannabis-can-reduce-migraines/”><strong>Migraine</strong></a></li> <li>Fibromyalgia</li> <li><a href=”http://herb.co/2015/09/14/marijuana-and-muscle-spasms/”><strong>Cramps and spasms</strong></a></li> </ul> <h3>4. Specialty products</h3> THC, CBD or a combination of both dominates the current selection online and at local dispensaries. However, specialty products that include other cannabinoids are beginning to make appearances in some dispensaries:
<a href=”http://herb.co/2015/10/08/cbg-the-next-big-cannabinoid-strain/”>CBG</a>
<a href=”http://herb.co/2017/03/31/tropical-cannabis/”>THCV</a>
The benefits of these cannabinoids are still being discovered and there is very little in terms of written study to fully understand the benefits and potential of these compounds. <h2>Raw cannabis oil</h2> Raw cannabis oil is an interesting alternative to the other concentrates that are found on the market. It is produced with the absence of heat, making it clearly a more challenging extraction process. As a result of the absence of heat, the cannabinoids (including THC) remain in as acids. This renders the resulting compound to have no psychoactive properties. In acid form, it is believed to have strong anti-inflammatory benefits. Also, it is fully capable of being heated to unlock the psychoactive components as well. One of the great benefits of rendering cannabis oil in the absence of heat is that the terpenes remain intact. When heat, solvent or CO2 is applied to the extraction process, the quality is highly dependent on the care and quality of the methods and technology invoked resulting in high variability in quality. Raw cannabis does not suffer from this same constraint. <h2>Isolates</h2> An isolate is when a single cannabinoid has been isolated from others and extracted in singularity. They are typically found as pure THC or CBD as well as other cannabinoids. The principal benefit of isolates is the capacity for patients to moderate the exact quantities of any compound they consume like one would with a medical pill. They provide for measurable consistency in dosing
While isolates have their applications, they tend to fall out of the medical cannabis oil spectrum as they are stripped of the synergies provided by the presence of other cannabinoids, terpenes and trace plant molecules. This highly evolved, yet still poorly understood a combination of molecules is what’s makes cannabis oil so effective. <h2>Vapor concentrates</h2> Vaporized ingestion or Vape Pens are becoming more and more popular as a medical cannabis treatment method primarily for the convenience and rapid uptake.
If you are suffering from serious health issues, vapes may not provide as much bioavailable uptake as can be found in full extract cannabis oil <h3>Best Practices for Medical Vaping</h3> <ul> <li>try and vape using cartridges with full-extract oils</li> <li>try and get as pure as possible (avoid additives like PG and PEG)</li> <li>Look for products that use vegetable glycerin as a base</li> <li>Opt for products that contain vegetable glycerin</li> <li>Look for laboratory tested and try and stay organic</li> </ul>
Medicinal Cannabis Oil is becoming more widespread as a legitimate and potentially quality-of-life altering form of therapy for many people suffering from episodic and chronic conditions. Despite this, cannabis oil remains highly regulated and illegal in much of the country. For this reason, it is important to know what is best for you and what the local, state and country laws in your region are.

Marijuana Leaf-All you ever want to know
[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]The marijuana leaf ıs of course the most well-known and recognızable aspect of the marıjuana plant. And now that marıjuana ıs becomıng maınstream ıt seems lıke the humble old marıjuana leaf ıs appearıng everywhere from bıllboards to traın car advertısements to t-shırts. In thıs post, we’ll break down the bıology behınd the most common types of the weed leaf ın addıtıon to showıng you a few leaf varıatıons you may not have heard of. We’ll also make sure that you can spot sıgns of poor leaf and plant health. Satıva.
Large cannabıs satıva leaves can have up to thırteen long, slender, pronounced, jagged, spıky serratıons. The coloratıon of satıva leaves ranges from lıght to dark green. Satıva leaves can come from eıther female plants from whıch we harvest the smokable weed we all know and love or from the male plants known as hemp. Hemp plants produce more CBD than THC but are typıcally grown for a mınd-blowıng array of renewable, eco-frıendly, ındustrıal, planet savıng purposes. Satıva leaves are often drıed, cooked and consumed. Whıle many people eıther vaporıze or smoke thıs straın, ıt ıs the norm for users to use thıs to get hıgh. You are not goıng to get stoned from usıng thıs straın, but ıt does have a ınvıgoratıng, pıck me up kınd of an effect that leads to feelıng happıer, unlıke ıts more sedatıng counterpart, Indıca. It also can enhance your creatıvıty, dependıng on the person. Thıs ıs the straın you use when you want to be up and actıve durıng the day sınce ıt raıses your energy and opens you up to fresh, new ıdeas. If you are an artıst of some sort, you may love thıs one. Satıva ıs known for a hıgh ratıo of THC to CBN the two prımary actıve ıngredıents ın cannabıs. Satıva domınant straıns are hıgher ın the THC cannabınoıd. Thıs makes ıt less lıkely to be used for medıcınal purposes, but ıt ıs stıll common ın Ayurvedıc medıcıne. They also work well to combat the symptoms of: • Depressıon. • ADD. • Fatıgue. • Mood dısorders.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]
Indıca.
Lınnaeus mıstakenly assumed that the cannabıs genus was monolıthıc meanıng that ıt only had one specıes, the satıva varıety ıtself. There are however several other varıetıes of marıjuana leaves that grow from the dıfferent sub varıetıes of the Cannabıs Satıva plant. Cannabıs Indıca leaves typıcally grow much shorter and wıder than satıva leaves ınto seven to nıne, olıve-green leaflets. French bıologıst Jean-Baptıste Lamarck coıned the name Cannabıs Indıca ın 1785 to account for the dıfferences between the Cannabıs satıva hemp grown mostly for agrıcultural purposes ın Europe and cannabıs Indıca plants grown for medıcınal purposes ın Indıa. Thıs weed ıs a stoner’s favorıte sınce ıt ıs more lıke a sedatıve and puts your entıre body ınto a deep state of relaxatıon. It has so much CBN ın ıt that thıs wıll surely take you there when you want to go far and beyond just a regular hıgh. It has lovely healıng qualıtıes, and helps wıth: • Insomnıa. • Allevıatıng paın. • Inducıng relaxatıon of muscles. • Muscle spasms. • Calmıng anxıety. • A headache, and mıgraıne relıef.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]
Ruderalıs.
Russıan botanıst D.E. Janıschevsky ıdentıfıed a thırd specıes of marıjuana plant that he named Cannabıs Ruderalıs whıch grows across eastern Europe and was commonly used by Russıans and Mongolıans to treat depressıon. There ıs some debate as to whether Cannabıs Ruderalıs ıs actually ıts own specıes. The leaves of the Ruderalıs plant possess fıve to thırteen leaflets and are very sımılar to those of an Indıca leaf except somewhat smaller and narrower. Ruderalıs grows wıld and doesn’t have as much THC content as the other specıes of cannabıs plants. One of the reasons you hear lıttle about thıs straın ıs because ıt ıs not known to be hıghly psychotropıc. It ıs used prımarıly as a source of addıtıonal genetıc materıal by breeders and cultıvators. That way, hybrıds whıch flower early can be bred, and certaın straıns can be adjusted so that they wıll grow ın more northerly clımates. Growers have experımented wıth crossbreedıng Ruderalıs and Indıca plants ın an attempt to create straıns wıth shorter growıng seasons.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]
Marıjuana leaf phyllotaxy.
Marıjuana leaves are compound wıth multıple leaflets, unlıke several plants where a sıngle leaf grows from the stem. Also unlıke several other plants, they don’t form an alternatıng pattern, rather weed leaves emerge ın opposıte paırs. You’ll fınd one cannabıs leaf on each sıde of the stem. You’ll also notıce a clear vertıcal space between the paır of weed leaves. Theır decussate leaves or the ones that grow ın an “x” pattern are opposıte, but each new leaf paır ıs at a rıght-angle to the last paır. Alternate leaves emerge from the stem sıngly, swappıng sıdes as the vertıcal heıght ıncreases. Any cannabıs typıcally exhıbıts opposıte decussate growth patterns, or phyllotaxy, but ıt can also produce alternate or whorled leaves. Leaves that radıate from a sıngle poınt and surround or wrap around the stem are called whorled leaves.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”26986″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]
Wıld marijuana leaf varıatıons.
Marıjuana ıs a very adaptable, dynamıc plant that loves to occasıonally mutate. Two mutatıons ın partıcular are useful for growers who may need to hıde or conceal theır cannabıs plants from law enforcement agencıes. However, ıt’s worth knowıng that delıberate attempts to make marıjuana plants wıth these mutated leaves don’t always produce the best medıcınal cannabınoıds. Australıan Bastard Cannabıs ıs another common marıjuana mutatıon. The plant has haırless leaflets wıth no more than fıve poınts whıch are only a few centımeters long.

Sıgns of sıckness ın the leaves.
The leaves of your pot plants are clues to all sorts of ıssues that your plant may encounter durıng the growıng process. Your leaves wıll show specıfıc dıscoloratıons and deterıoratıons ıf the plant ıs defıcıent ın key nutrıents such as boron, calcıum, copper, manganese, molybdenum, phosphorus, potassıum, sulfur or zınc. These defıcıencıes can be avoıded entırely by utılızıng trıed and true organıc marıjuana growıng methods ınvolvıng proper cannabıs compost and Subcool’s standard super soıl formula for organıc 420 fertılızer. You can stıll add specıfıc organıc nutrıents to the soıl and stımulate new ganja growth ıf you keep the PH range of the soıl optımal for the specıfıc nutrıent. You’ll need to flush your lınes wıth clean pH’d water contaınıng half the plant’s nutrıents for the defıcıency to clear up and to stımulate new growth ıf you’re usıng hydroponıc growıng methods. Your leaves wıll grow fırm, droopıng and curlıng down towards theır stems, starvıng for oxygen ıf you overwater them. If thıs ıs the case, you’ll need to cut back on waterıng and gıve them tıme to recover. You can try ıncreasıng the temperature from the lıghts and your aırflow ıf you are growıng ındoors to speed up water absorptıon. You can also poke some holes ın the soıl wıth a pencıl to gıve them some oxygen. Your plants may also requıre a better draınage system. The serrated edges of the leaves wıll begın to curl up ıf they are exposed to too much natural or artıfıcıal lıght. You’ll see yellow and brown burn spots on the leaves ıf they receıve too much lıght or especıally dırect contact wıth a bulb. To allevıate, these ıssues, decrease the ıntensıty of your lıghtıng and ıncrease aır cırculatıon wıth fans to help your ındoor plants recover. Hang a large cloth, sheet or buıld some other source of shade for your outdoor plants. Water them ın the early mornıng and late evenıng to help them retaın water and recover from the heat and lıght stress.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_widget_sidebar][/vc_column_inner][vc_single_image image=”26988″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]
Makıng the most out of the marıjuana leaf.
Soakıng your freshly harvested marıjuana leafs ın cold water for fıve mınutes and then juıcıng them wıth some lemon, apples, carrots, beets or other vegetables ıs an extremely easy and ıncredıbly healthy way to make the most out of your marıjuana leaves. Juıcıng your cannabıs leaves won’t transform the raw THCA acıd ınto the psychoactıve THC cannabınoıd that wıll get you hıgh. Don’t smoke the leaves!
Well, actually you can! However smokıng raw marıjuana by ıtself wıll only gıve you a mıld buzz as opposed to a proper euphorıc hıgh. Thıs ıs why we don’t recommend smokıng marıjuana leaves unless you’re usıng them to smoke good ground bud by rollıng ıt ınto a custom joınt for yourself!
You can also harvest the THC bearıng trıchomes on your marıjuana leaves ınto an edıble 11-Hydroxy-THC body hıgh by cookıng your leaves ınto cannabutter. Wash and soak about 3.5 ounces (100 grams) worth of your freshly harvested pot leaves ın cold water for fıve mınutes the same way you would before juıcıng them. Then chop and grınd your leaves up. You should also throw ın some (0.2 oz./5 grams) of ground weed bud for good measure.
Heat and sımmer the ground weed leaves wıth equal parts butter and water ın a sauce pan for 30 mınutes stırrıng occasıonally. Pour the mıxture through a straıner to remove leftover plant matter and let the mıxture refrıgerate to solıdıfy ınto cannabutter that you can use to make a wıde varıety of marıjuana edıbles.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
Leafıng you dazed and educated!
As a fınal remınder, ıt’s ımportant to keep your leaves healthy so that you can enjoy the ımmense health benefıts from juıcıng or creatıng cannabutter wıth your freshly harvested marıjuana leaves.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_widget_sidebar sidebar_id=”page-sidebar-1″]

Cannabis News-State revenue is driving legalization
Cannabis Freedom in the USA
According to a Forbes website cannabis is getting closer to freedom here in the good ol USA. Not only has the state of Colorado’s annual sales of this cash crop crossed over the $1 billion dollar finish line in a years time, but concerning elections, it has done very well as well in a number of states. Los Angeles California, a city in a state, has said to have reached close to $1 billion dollars in sales in the medical marijuana including cannabism seeds-market itself. This is exciting considering our nation’s national deficit.
The tip of the marijuana freedom iceberg looking hopeful, as to the not unreasonable predicted possibility of helping to dig us out of this negative account. According to the forbes.com site, In Denver, Adam Bierman, who is the Chief Executive Officer of cannabis investment firm MedMen thinks that the city of Los Angeles will take most of the attention off of Colorado altogether. Opening and paving the way for the recreational marijuana supermarket.
Los Angeles Changing Legislation in 2017
One could only assume that if things are looking that hopeful concerning recreational cannabis, that the medicinal properties of the plant will soon be able to be taken advantage of by all in need of them. Los Angeles is expecting to pass an ordinance in 2017 that would allow free flow of marijuana marketing. Yes, the future for this great plant is looking hopeful, and even more hopeful still is the outlook for the nice people with chronic pain illnesses such as; cancer, fibromyalgia, glaucoma, emotional disorders like bulimia, sleeping disorders, the list goes on and on. Mr. Adam Bier man of Denver Colorado thinks that even sports alliances will be soon to approve the usage of medical cannabis. Many professional athletes have been turning down the prescriptions of synthetically made drugs and turning to medical cannabis. Apparently being legal in 29 states these professional sports participants are expecting to be treated just like any other patient.
The Cannabis State

It is has been predicted as well on forbes.com that there will be up and coming major television networks using cannabis as the backdrop, or theme. As most Americans look to be in favor of its legalization, remembering the hit series on Showtime called Weeds from over a decade ago , and HBO now with High Maintenance, marijuana-themed shows on NBC, and MTV I would say that the idea of a whole channel being dedicated to the cannabis theme is not far fetched at all .
Extract.suntimes.com has some interesting ideas about what we may see in the very near future concerning the surfacing of actual brands for cannabis. Investors are eager to be a part of this up and coming market establishment and soon to be a completely legal market. This is all very exciting for those who do not enjoy the effects synthetic pain killers and medications, which are both highly addictive and destructive to the body, have on the body.
Not to mention the idea that alcohol has been legal for centuries and looks more to be a population control idea when the number of deaths caused by its consumption is numbered nearly as high or as high as the deaths due to war.

New Hope For People With Chronic Back Pain
Chronic back pain is a common problem in people between the ages of 30 and 50 and usually occurs due to the normal and natural process of age-related deterioration that is often related to stress. It is one of the most common ailments that are observed by doctors across the globe. Accidents that result in traumatic injury lead to chronic back pain and medical evaluation processes like X-rays, CT scans, MRI, bone scans, etc. help detect the exact site of the injury. However, in most patients the cause of the pain is unknown and medical cannabis from a Medical Cannabis dispensary provide immense and long-term relief from this kind of pain. While some types of pains can be attributed to the lack of a healthy lifestyle, stress and no exercise, there are other reasons like arthritis or damaged and pinched nerves that this type of pain can be attributed to. The pain can either be sharp stabbing or burning (Neuropathic) or is observed as a dull ache or sense of pressure (Nociceptive). It is found to be a lot more effective when compared with over the counter medicines such as aspirin or ibuprofen. While they lessen the pain to some extent, these also case ulcerous conditions and affect the digestive system. Besides, these pain medications are also addictive. Conventional treatment therapies that use over the counter NSAIDS (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) that provide temporary relief are gradually being replaced by medical marijuana treatment that also negates other problems like prescription medication dependency (addiction), anxiety, depression, and insomnia. Medical Marijuana offers sufferers of chronic back pain a new solution and often a complete relief from this painful condition. and some believe that there is a much better treatment solution for back pain by using medical cannabis. Medical Marijuana that is supplied to patients through a Medical Cannabis dispensary reduces the intensity of chronic pain without any associated side effects that are observed during the prolonged use of OTC medicines or prescribed medicines. Medical Marijuana has helped scores of patients who suffer from acute back pain by providing relief. Often within six to eight weeks of treatment patients are able to successfully control the condition before it becomes chronic and more serious. When other conventional forms of treatment and therapy have failed Medical Cannabis has been successful in helping people cope with their pain and empowering them to live a normal, high quality, active life.

Pot Smokers can join the Secret Service! Marijuana Seed News

Smoke Pot? Like Wearing an Ear Piece? Join the Secret Service!
Three Cheers for the Secret Sevice!: It is no secret(!) that the Secret Service is no place for marijuana users. In the past, if you used marijuana more than a certain number of times, you wouldn’t be able to become an agent. But now the game has changed.
The Secret Service is currently facing a manpower crunch. Between the threat of terrorism and the challenge of protecting the Trump family, the agency has realized it needs to hire more. In a statement to the press, Director Randolph Alles said: “We need more people. The mission has changed.” Alles is looking to increase Secret Service numbers to over 7,600 employees by 2019. As part of that move, the Secret Service has relaxed its anti-marijuana policy. Now hold your horses! You still can’t light a bowl and go apply to protect the President. The Secret Service website explicitly states that if you have “used marijuana at all within the last three years” then they are not looking to hire you. (source: secretservice) As much as that sucks, it is what it is. Still, Alles’ announcement is good news. A lot of pot users who want to join the Secret Service can now hope to apply and get in. So remember: as long as you have been “clean” for three years, the Secret Service will now cut you some slack. Cheers to the Secret Service on this! (By the way: don’t expect to lie your way in. The Secret Service does extensive background checks on you to make sure you’re the right fit for them. Think polygraph tests, checks on your criminal record, credit history, college grades etc. Hey, no one said it would be easy!) Source: Source: CNN
Smoke Pot In California? Well, we got some good news and some…
You have heard the term ‘sanctuary state’ thrown around in the news. For those not in the know, sanctuary states (or cities) protect undocumented immigrants by not complying with federal authorities in their prosecution or capture. (This applies, especially for state law enforcement.) California has made moves to become a sanctuary state against Trump’s deportation policies. Now it is looking to do the same thing in the battle over marijuana. This Thursday, the Golden State passed bill AB 1578.
The bill prohibits local law enforcement from assisting federal authorities in investigating people or groups using marijuana. (Of course, you still have to follow Cali state laws on pot possession.) AB 1578, a brainchild of Assemblyman Reggie Jones-Sawyer, has passed state Assembly and is now on its way to the California Senate. The bill isn’t too popular with local law enforcement as well as state Republicans. So there is a good chance the bill may not come into effect.
Jones-Sawyer has argued that his bill was necessary for light of the Trump administration’s strong anti-marijuana stance. We agree with him. You may have read of Trump pick Jeff Sessions’ classy opinions on marijuana (“Good people don’t smoke marijuana.”). Given that, AB 1578 definitely sounds like good news for Cali pot users! (Source: LA Timesl) Now for the bad news. So the cops in California won’t bother you if you use pot. What about employers? Could your boss fire you for pot use? The sad answer is yes they can. Proposition 64 gives free rein to “public and private employers to enact and enforce workplace policies pertaining to marijuana.” That means that if an employer wants a drug-free workplace, they can give you the boot for marijuana use.
Even if you consume pot for medicinal purposes or when off work, you can be fired if your drug test comes positive. So California workers: make sure your employer is okay with marijuana use. If you feel you have been unjustly fired, here’s our suggestion–tweet about it. A social media backlash may keep overzealous employers in line (even if the law doesn’t). (Source: Sacbee)
No Green Thumb? Don’t Plant Marijuana Seeds,, Eat Em!!! Our friends at the Fresh Toast wrote an excellent post on the health benefits of cannabis seeds. We at Farmer’s Lab are nodding our heads at what they are saying. Need a plant-based protein source full of healthy fats and minerals? Cannabis seeds are your friend.
What about something to deal with anxiety, depression or insomnia? Cannabis seeds again! Do seeds help with digestion? Yep! (Check out all that fiber!) What about a healthy heart or healthy skin? You can’t be serious–yes, cannabis seeds will also help you with that!
Look, don’t believe us on this. Go check out The Fresh Toast post (sorry we like how that rhymes). Read it and then believe it: cannabis seeds are a natural “wonder drug”! (Which we just so happen to sell!) Source: The Fresh Toast

Veteran Affairs Thumbs Up for Medical Marijuana: Veterans fresh off Memorial Day celebrations have another reason to rejoice. Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shulkin made positive statements in favor of medical marijuana. In a press conference, Shulkin said: “There may be some evidence that [medical marijuana] is beginning to be helpful and we’re interested in looking at that and learning from that.”
CREDIT: The Joint Blog
Veterans Affairs, according to Shulkins, is evaluating research on medical marijuana use among vets and the potential benefits thereof. This is a good sign. Vet groups like the American Legion have long lobbied Washington to authorize marijuana research for troops suffering from PTSD, brain injuries etc. (Wounded Vets for Pot) The Trump administration does not have a favorable stance towards marijuana use. US Attorney General Jeff Sessions has gone on record saying “Good people don’t smoke marijuana” and that marijuana is “only slightly less awful” than heroin. Washington Times Last time we checked, Jeff Sessions was not involved in the making of ‘Reefer Madness’! Seriously, who put this guy in office?! Farmer’s Lab approves David Shulkin’s voice as a welcome change. We hope Washington will keep an open mind and see how medical marijuana is helping suffering vets. Our troops deserve more for their service! Sources: The Hill
Legalization Hiccups in Vermont and Nevada:
Vermont was set to become the first American state to legalize marijuana possession by an act of the legislature. (So far, we have been legalizing via popular vote.) State Representatives recently passed a bill permitting possession of small quantities of marijuana. Vermont Governor Phil Scott vetoed that bill when it reached his desk. Scott said he was “not ideologically opposed” to legalization but that he wanted some changes in the bill’s structure. Governor Scott is looking for stronger penalties for DUI drivers as well as adults who smoke or offer marijuana to children.
He is also seeking a thorough study of legalization impacts on Vermont, particularly in relation to public health and safety. Observers are optimistic that Vermont will be a legal state in the near future.Source
Nevada is also not going to be seeing recreational marijuana anytime soon. The issue is about who–the alcohol or the medical marijuana industry–gets to transport marijuana across the state. In November last year, Nevada legalized recreational marijuana. The ballot then stipulated that “only licensed wholesale alcohol distributors could be licensed to transport retail pot for the first year and a half.” In other words, the alcohol industry was promised a transport monopoly (on marijuana) in the Silver State. So far so good. Now the Department of Taxation (DoT) determined that there were not enough backers interested in distribution licenses. (A lot of alcohol distributors don’t want to touch marijuana for fear of losing their federal alcohol licenses.) So the tax department opened up the market for medical marijuana businesses. This did not go well with some folks. The Independent Alcohol Distributors of Nevada went to court against the DoT. The judge agreed with them and issued a restraining order prohibiting Nevada from issuing distribution licenses. The situation is clearly a mess: read more here

Austrian Passenger Carrying Cannabis Seeds Acquitted:
An Austrian man was traveling back to his country via Dubai last year. He had about 2 pounds of marijuana seeds In his luggage. We’ve warned readers about traveling abroad with marijuana on your person. This man’s case is a good example of what could happen. At Dubai airport, authorities found the seeds in the luggage and locked the man up. He was charged with criminal possession and eventually handed a conviction sentence for ten years! Dubai’s jails are no place to be a prisoner (look it up: it is pretty bad there). This poor Austrian was done for! You are probably asking: why was this Austrian flying with those seeds? Apparently, this man was originally from Afghanistan and became an Austrian citizen under their refugee program. His wife, who suffers from neural diseases and requires medication (you guessed right: those cannabis seeds!), is waiting to get citizenship and cannot leave Austria. So the Austrian man goes to Afghanistan to see his mother. Along the way, he decides to get cannabis seeds for his wife. Then he gets caught and convicted in Dubai. So how did the man get acquitted? Quite simply, he had a good lawyer. Faisal Al Zarouni argued in court that his client was no drug trafficker. The lawyer proved that the man had no criminal intent and was simply trying to get seeds for his ailing wife. The judge agreed and overturned the ten-year sentence. The Austrian man is now (probably) free and on his way to his wife. You do not want to be in this man’s plight. So once again, we warn you not to travel abroad with marijuana in your possession. The Effects of Weed - How Five Different Strains of Medical Marijuana Affect the Mind and Body
Getting stoned, getting high, getting baked-all slang words for the same thing. Marijuana has the ability to relax the mind and (if used incorrectly) to cloud it. Weed can also relax the body and ease pain, but if used incorrectly, can seriously impair motor skills. Different strains of medical cannabis have different effects on the body and mind-this is the main reason that “bud tenders” at medical MJ dispensaries recommend different strains for different MMJ patients. Here are five different strains of medical-grade marijuana and how they affect the mind and body. We chose strains of different varieties of marijuana, some indica, some sativa, some blends, to showcase the varied effects of marijuana strains on the mind and body. 1. Blue Dream Details: Heavily sativa dominant with a trace of indica, Blue Dream gets its name from the dark green appearance of the leaves under heavy trichomes. Medical uses: The best med of all for insomnia-also a good “baseline” med for pain patients, requiring very little additional breakthrough treatment. Review: Blue Dream is always a popular choice at dispensaries for its unique looks. Definitely a nighttime med-most often recommended by budtenders for pain patients and people with sleeping trouble. 2. Green Crack Details: Don’t let the name put you off, this light green/orange/blueish indica/sativa med is sweet with an intense body effect. Medical uses: The heavy blend of sativa in this strain makes it ideal for people dealing with chronic pain or patients using MMJ for depression or other mental health issues. Review: A short-acting med, Green Crack is ideal for a “middle of the day” dose, particularly for pain patients who want a breakthrough pain treatment. 3. White Berry Details: Intensely purple-colored, 90% indica 10% sativa. This is the hybrid to beat all hybrids, with a beautiful look to the plant that attracts patients directly to this strain. Medical uses: Relieves muscle spasms and muscle pain. Perfect for patients with restless leg syndrome or other ailments of the muscular system. Review: An easy “A” rating for this indica-dominant strain. Best as a nighttime medication, as it can have intense effects on both the mind and body, typical for a hybrid. 4. A-Train Details: Pure powerful indica. A cross of the ever-popular Trainwreck and an Afghani plant. A spicy flavor with citrus undertones, you get everything that’s great about indicas with A-Train. Medical uses: Appetite enhancer, reduces ocular pressure. The perfect plant for people suffering from glaucoma or other eye problems, as well as for chronically ill patients with appetite problems. Review: A real award-winner, this indica is everything indica is supposed to be. Difficult for MMJ dispensaries to keep in stock. High Times Top Ten Strain of the Year winner, 2009. 5. Canna Sutra Details: Sativa dominant. Incredibly sweet, citrusy smoke. Reported aphrodisiac qualities. High “marijuana” taste with heavy lemon undertone. Medical uses: Sexual aid, mood elevator, bronchial dilator. Often prescribed to people suffering from asthma for use in a smokeless vaporizer. Review: One of the favorite smokes of bud tenders everywhere, this sativa surprises patients who prefer indica meds. The hint of purple in the leaves makes this a quick sellout in most dispensaries.

Legal Marijuana: The New Media Darling of Mainstream America
The war being waged for marijuana’s legal acceptance in America has a new battleground these days. Mass media has decidedly been the tool of prohibitionist since the very earliest days of “The War On Drugs”. Who can forget Nancy Reagan’s unforgettable “Just Say No” campaign of the Reagan era. “This is your brain, this is your brain on drugs” saw the 1990’s Clinton administration frying eggs for the desired effect of scaring children straight. In the 21st century, you are “Above the Influence” and encouraged to not follow the crowd. What message is mass media sending to the adults of 21st century, the very generations these messages of the past were aimed at? What do Time Magazine, The Nation Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times and MSNBC all have in common? Each of these pillars of information distribution have dedicated time and space to the issue of legal marijuana in California and other areas of the country. The news pieces in question are not in Nancy Reagan’s tone of voice or point of view, however. The difference in opinion is as vast as possible now that mass media has determined that a legitimate argument can be made for the abolishment of marijuana prohibition and for legalization of cannabis. The Nation Magazine’s December 27th 2010 edition cover features the caption “D.A.R.E. to End the War on Drugs”. Using the logo of Drug Abuse Resistance Education to accent the point, D.A.R.E. is self described as “giving kids the skills they need to avoid involvement in drugs, gangs, and violence.” The article “Altered State: California’s Pot Economy” by Sasha Abramsky, analyzes the future of distribution and packaging of legal cannabis in California. The impact that is possible on tourism for the Golden State in the future if recreational marijuana is legalized is discussed as well as analyses on why Proposition 19 failed and what needs to happen for future referendums to pass. The New York Times on November 13th 2010 published an article entitled “Backers of Legal Marijuana Find Silver Lining in Defeat of California Measure” that went into great detail on what the issues were that led to the defeat of Proposition 19 on November 2nd. A conflict of ideology amongst the generations and the lack of the predicted large turn out of younger voters were the main issues attributed to the defeat of the proposition. According to the NY Times, the main reasons Prop 19 did not pass were that the measure was a “jumbled, legal nightmare” and questioned estimates of the potential tax revenue that legalization would bring in. The Times also acknowledged that the Proposition did not do well in Los Angeles (47%) or with the older voters, especially that of older Latinos, a heavy voting block in Southern California. The Los Angeles Times, in an article published on December 16, 2010 and entitled “One Toke Over The Line”, takes on Obama administration policy for legal marijuana and in particular R. Gil Kerlikowske, the Obama administration’s drug czar. Mr Kerlikowske, in response to an annual survery that determined that teen marijuana consumption is on the rise among eighth through 12th-graders, was quoted as saying “Mixed messages about drug legalization, particularly marijuana, may be to blame. Such messages certainly don’t help parents who are trying to prevent kids from using drugs.” The Los Angeles Times editorial went on to argue Kerlikowske’s point by citing another survey by the Congressional Research Service whose April 2010 findings examined studies comparing teen pot smoking in states with and without medical marijuana laws. No connection between such laws and drug use was found. “Concerns that medical cannabis laws send the wrong message to vulnerable groups such as adolescents seem to be unfounded,” it stated. Time Magazine jumped into the fray with its November 22nd 2010 cover story entitled “The United States of Amerijuana” complete with a huge burning joint on the cover of the magazine and the caption “Legalization has gone up in smoke, but ‘medicinal pot’ has gone mainstream”. The 10 page article, complete with pictures, covers issues such as culinary arts in cannabis and how vernacular in the industry has changed from ‘smoking pot’ to ‘medicate’, ‘dealers’ are now ‘caregivers’ and the buyers in need are “patients” and not “users”. The article goes on to compare marijuana as a hot commodity in some areas of the country in the same vein as wine, dark chocolate and artisanal cheese. Finally, even MSNBC, one of the largest cable news outlets in the world, broadcast an hour long documentary on December 8, 2010 entitled “Marijuana USA”. The content covered everything from a couple in Colorado who actively promote legal marijuana as their business to a company that labels, brands and distributes seeds for registered growers to plant as a natural herbal remedy for what ails you. The documentary goes into detail on how marijuana, in the states where it is legal for medical use, is being regulated, licensed and taxed, just like any other legitimate product. The prohibition of marijuana in the United States took a firm hold in the 1930’s. Richard Nixon declared the War on Drugs in 1971 and Ronald Reagan reinforced those efforts in the 1980s. There were times when the only public advocates for legal marijuana seemed to be comedians such as George Carlin or Cheech and Chong which hardly gave legitimacy to the cause and were no match for the United States government’s campaign against cannabis. The year 2011 is being ushered in and there are now a couple of self evident truths to be told about the legalization of marijuana. Telling a generation to just say no when they are teens almost guarantees they will just say yes at some point when they are adults or even before that. The other fact that has come to bear is that it is easier to convince a majority to just say yes when an answer in the affirmative will line the pockets of state goverments, opportunistic entrepreneurs and even major media outlets and publications that need to fill space and grab your attention.

Here's All That You Need to Know

John Morgan’s Investment Gambit.
A lot of money is going to be coming Florida’s way! Orlando attorney John Morgan said he is planning to invest close to $100 million on “the right opportunities.” In a statement to the press, Morgan said: “I am prepared to invest significant monies in this industry and I plan to. I have learned a great deal about them miracles of marijuana over the last five years. And what better person than me to be involved?”Florida folks would recognize Morgan as one of the leading voices calling for medical marijuana legalization in the Sunshine State. As chairman of ‘United for Care’, Morgan was a key player in helping pass Amendment 2 last year. Miami Herald, however, wonders: what’s in it for John Morgan? Is he doing the lobbying to gain a foothold in the Florida marijuana industry? Find out more at http://www.miamiherald.com/news/politics-government/article152102702.html
Silicon Valley of Medical Marijuana
Does Adelanto have what it takes to be a big player in the medical marijuana industry? This sleepy desert city out in Backwoods, California certainly thinks so. Adelanto (Pop: 30,000; Debt in 2014: $2.6 million) was once a place you went to admire the tumbleweeds! Now, as California is looking to legalize and regulate large-scale marijuana cultivation, Adelanto is hoping to turn the tide. The city has zoned about 360 acres for growing medical marijuana. In addition, it is quickly setting up cultivation warehouses, cannabis oil extraction units, among other facilities.Wealthy backers certainly seem to be buying into the Adelanto Dream. Investors like developer James Previti come from diverse backgrounds such as real estate, law, athletics etc. These folks are hoping to get a piece of the action when the medical marijuana boom hits Adelanto. See here (http://www.businessinsider.com/adelanto-california-medical-marijuana-2017-5) and here (http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-adelanto-marijuana-20170522-story.html) for more details.
For Science!
Live in Pullman, Washington? Are you 21 and above and like to smoke weed? Washington State University is looking for volunteers like you to take part in a study! The eggheads behind this project hope to develop a cutting-edge breathalyzer that will detect marijuana use by intoxicated drivers. When you sign up, the researchers will do blood tests, mouth swabs etc. on you. Then you have to buy weed from a marijuana retail store (will the researchers pay for it?) and smoke it in your home. The researchers will then get you to a hospital for secondary testing. You may also have to take a sobriety test (yikes!) conducted by local law enforcement. Find out more at http://www.ksdk.com/news/researchers-need-volunteers-to-smoke-marijuna-for-study/442176942 It has taken a long time for marijuana use to become legal in America. (And we still have miles to go). Marijuana users driving under the influence endanger public safety and hurt our cause. So we actively endorse this study and encourage Pullman residents to go participate in it! Here’s the guy you need to contact: Nathan Weller; Phone: (509)-432-1943; Email: [email protected]
