CBC the is a shit box and yet I want to keep it from Fascist hands
The CBC since 2006 has been a shitty television news station. Not much else can be said about this. It is a fact to most Canadians that CBC news does not provide enough news of the world and provides even less about Canada as a whole. The only prominent news articles on CBC news are fluff pieces such as human interest stories or crime stories. Both of these propel the Canadian public to stay indoors and not voice opposition to anything because they see nothing important going on and they are scared to go outside due to supposedly heightened crime. The problem with CBC is that it is mimicking CNN which has now turned into a  terrible news agency as well. Does no one remember the news before the year 2000? The news was meant to inform the public to create discussion and increase awareness of the public of real issues such as famine, war, political upheaval, inequality, racism and so on. Now the news is used as a comfort mechanism to tell the public that "nothing is going on out in the real world, just go back inside and watch your programmes".
Well now it has come to a new level of stupidity. The CBC is under threat of being controlled by ruling conservative government if bill C-60 is passed. This bill will allow the Prime Minister's cabinet to approve salaries, working conditions, and collective bargaining positions for the CBC. This will destroy the arms length that the Government of Canada has had for decades with the CBC. It will destroy the legitimacy of the CBC as a news agency and it will destroy the free press in a country that is slowly losing the right to voice the concern of it's government. I do not cover national or local news often, but when I do, I find it despicable that I live in a country that I fear the government while Canada is seen to be a peace loving, free, modern state. The right wing fascist encroachment is coming slowly but surely in Canada, all due to the fact that the Prime Ministers Office has been playing a slow methodical game of introducing surprising legislation over the years bit by bit and implanting them into budget bills (which this one is located on page 111). I am glad that I will not be residing in this country for much longer, but while I am still here I will be voicing my concern for those who are not as fortunate as I who can leave and work else where.
If you have read to the bottom of this page there is a link to further information on this Bill C-60. Do not hesitate to contact your local member of Parliament and ask about this heinous proposition. Or at the very least talk about it with your family and friends tonight when you sit down for dinner.

Harper Plans to Turn CBC into a State Broadcaster
BREAKING: Harper plans to turn CBC into state broadcaster: The legislation tabled yesterday effectively eliminates the arms-length relationship with government that’s at the heart of public broadcasting .. April 30th 2013  After C-38, Harper forced CBC to take an oath of allegiance to his government; now like the RCMP; Harper is moving to remove independence of the CBC. “The CPC government’s budget bill contains disturbing changes that introduce direct government interference in the public broadcaster’s activities. It is a move that should concern all Canadians. The new changes would allow the government to directly interfere in the day to day running of the Corporation. At the heart is a plan for direct interference in collective bargaining between the CBC and its employees. The legislation even goes so far as to place a member of the Treasury Board at the bargaining table. CBC’s government appointed Board of Directors would now have to seek government approval to reach any agreement with CBC employees. “This is an outrageous and unnecessary violation of the principle of public broadcasting. It undermines nearly 80 years of public broadcasting in Canada and around the world by meddling with the essential arms-length relationship between the CBC and the government of the day. The change is disturbing as it has all the markings of an attempt to turn the CBC into a state broadcaster,” said Carmel Smyth, National president of the Canadian Media Guild (CMG), the largest union that represents CBC workers. Marc-Philippe Laurin, CMG Branch president at CBC, calls the change unprecedented. “This is a dangerous road to go down,” he comments. “And make no mistake, this is not about the money. The CPC is effectively modifying the Broadcasting Act to inject itself into decisions such as staffing that have a major impact on everything that’s done at the CBC.” Smyth noted that besides this aggressive intrusion into public broadcasting, there are other recent examples of this conservative government interfering in the labour relations process such as at Canada Post and Air Canada, and all Canadians should be concerned. “We oppose this change vigorously and are looking at all our options,” she said. Venezuela do what is right for you!
I do not wish to seem partisan but who am I kidding, Chavistas vote en masse today. Vote for Comrade Maduro not because he is the handpicked successor of Chavez, but because even though he knows he has your support, he was out there everyday trying to encourage everyone to vote, ensuring fair and free elections (which by Jimmy Carter's standard is better than the last Canadian election), and someone who could have easily taken power when Chavez died but he did not. Chavistas show your determination to prove the Imperialist powers wrong, that the socialist Bolivarian revolution in Venezuela shall continue on for another term. Viva la revolucion! Viva Venezuela!

Cyber Security act signed into law in the United States
This was an executive order issued by President Obama which allows for the snooping of government agencies to view what people are viewing and find everything about citizens online lives. This huge breach of privacy is no small feat. In Canada they abandoned a similar bill because it was immoral. The tyranny of the executive in the United States has stepped one more step unto the abyss known as dictatorship.

Annoyances of the Holiday Season
One of my greatest annoyances during the Holiday Season is the sudden realization of the wealthy that the poor and working classes should be looked after, given food, clothing and shelter. This only comes once a year, then after the holiday season is over, everyone reverts back to treating the poor as scum. How dare the bourgeois give false hope every year, once a year to the poor. The poor and disenfranchised must rise up and destroy the bourgeois class system. Only then will the world care for  one another. I think about how lucky I am to be in a home of moderate wealth, where my needs are taken care of, I share my wealth as often as I can. The world needs to be healed, through fire and tribulation. The proletariat must cauterize the wounds that the bourgeois has inflicted.

Why funding rebels bites you in the ass if they are not communist.
Example A: Mujahideen. The United States funded them in the 1980s against the soviets, and then fought them when they invaded Afghanistan. A splinter group of the Mujahideen was Al-Qaeda, which then used the funding from the United States to start up their terrorist group.
Example B: Contras in Nicaragua. The Contras terrorists who murdered  their own people just for fun and money. This was supposed to be a proper opposition to the Sandinista socialist government. Instead they failed completely and alienated the population.
Example C (future): The Free Syrian Army, aided by the western powers is a Sunni Muslim rebel group. If they succeed, they will most likely lose control of their fringes, who will slaughter every minority in Syria.
All these examples show, when either motivated by money or religion, the rebels turn into terrorists who will one day bite you in the ass.
While socialist rebels are reliable. July 26th movement, Bolsheviks, Sandinistas. They all come in on their word to help their people. At least better than the others did or will.
Lesson is IMPERIALISM NEVER PAYS FOR LONG and THE US ALWAYS FUCKS UP. Greatest country on earth, huh?

Palestine is a state, kinda?
Palestine today was recognized as a non-member state of the United Nations with only 9 imperialist votes against it and 138 for. This is a historic day for Palestine and the world, that with perseverance and trust in truth, justice shall be done.
Although this practically has no implications for Palestine, it does allow them to join the ICC possibly. The problem is that even though the majority of the globe sees Palestine as a state, the imperialist United States and dogmatic Israel sees Palestinians as nothing more than displaced persons.
The Israel foreign minister announced after the vote that Israel has no motivation now to keep its commitments with Palestine since this vote contradicted the wishes of Israel. This is very scary talk coming from the government of Israel. Could this mean another bombing campaign with a ground offensive? Or will they simply go back on their promise of lifting some restrictions of the blockade on Gaza?
It does not matter, for tonight Palestinians and workers around the world can celebrate in the defeat of imperialist powers! But the fight is not over, it must go on so Palestine may receive full state hood confirmed by the United Nations! Even though they do not need this confirmation, it would be a big slap in the face to the chauvinistic pigs in the imperialist oligarchy of the western powers and Israel.
Although I am not religious in any sort and disagree with all religions, I support the government of Palestine solely for the purpose of fighting against U.S. imperialism and Israeli barbarism. Goodnight, and good luck Palestine.

4 more years....but of what?
4 more years of ineffective government.
4 more years of bourgeois democrats.
4 more years of corporations in the presidents pocket.
4 more years of Guantanamo.
4 more years of illegal indefinite detention.
4 more years of illegal drone strikes killing innocent civilians.
4 more years of the bourgeois becoming rich off of the proletariat's brow.
4 more years of US imperialism.
4 more years of US foreign policy biting them in the ass.
4 more years of destabilizing sovereign countries around the globe.
4 more years .....until the next leader of the (chained and tortured) free world.
But still better (barely) than 4 years of Romney.

Quote
Higher education shall be made equally accessible to all, on the basis of capacity, by every appropriate means, and in particular by the progressive introduction of free education;
Article 13. 2 (c) of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights which goes on to state in Article 28: “The provisions of the present Covenant shall extend to all parts of federal States without any limitations or exceptions.”
Canada has ratified this document in 1976. Canada is in clear breach of this international commitment.
(via studentsriseup)
-How much I point this out to everyone and they think higher education means Highschool. Oh the tragedy of the failing school system in Canada.

Long time not writing.
Much has happened over the summer. The imperialist forces of the western alliance has been ever slowly preparing for an invasion of both Syria and Iran. If Syria happens to fall due to imperial aggression on the part of NATO then Iran would be its next target. Although I do not agree with the views of the Iranian government, I do believe in its people to determine its future, and not have to suffer aggression of foreign powers aiming its arsenals at its peaceful use of nuclear power so far. To restrict all nations who you do not favour that do not have nuclear power to a life of servitude of scientific dullness and low productivity. One thing that surprised me and made me cheer for once for the General-Secretary of the UN, Ban Ki Moon, is that he will be attending the non-alignment summit in Tehran. Although voicing the concerns of his imperial rulers (US primarily), it is a step forward for the UN to become more of a non-aligned system of diplomacy rather than a dominant US and NATO invasion tool.
Other things in the news that have caught my eye is the possible "recession" looming in the Eurozone. As much as it would please me to see the break up of the euro, the downfall of capitalism in europe, a breakup of the eurozone would do nothing to further the downfall of capitalism. It would only let the weak die or be taken over by foreign nations, and let the strong (Germany) control the rest of europe. The only way for this crisis to be solved is to substitute the Eurozone with a new form of continental contingency where the governments of each country in Europe promise to aid all within the new Union as much as it can without itself jeopardizing its own economy. Eventually this might transgress into a socialist Europe until that eventuality there must be no cuts, no austerity, no draconian measures. The people must rise up against the dragon of Europe (Angela Merkel) and slay it. If Europe is to survive, to prosper, to usher in a new era of utopianism and comradery; the financial dictatorship of the German holding on the EU funds must be severed, other wise these austerity measures will only deepen the soon to be recession into a depression. The people must rise up, specifically in Spain, Greece, Italy, and of course France. If the people of France rise up to tell their center-left leader Hollande that they want a true socialist president then Europe may have a chance at becoming stable once more with the aid of a socialist France that would emanate the ideals of the Paris commune. But France cannot do it alone, Spain, Italy, Greece, all Eurozone countries must rise up against the fascist austerity measures being issued.

Love.
Love is as if one was really drunk. You do not know what your getting yourself into, you have no idea how to stay there, you do not understand it, you acknowledge it "fool" heartedly, and you never know how to stand up without that person beside you.
If love was so simple, everyone would be doing it.
