The piano had been her father’s. Tatsumiya had told her that since infancy along with tales of the man — she hadn’t had the opportunity to meet. Loneliness hadn’t consumed her at the lack of presence of her father but now she recognizes the longing and wish of what could have been. No one could replace the Great Sorcerer for the sea as no one could come and be her father, it wasn’t that simple. Once upon a time, a young, innocent witch had been clueless to the truth of her feelings, content with the peaceful life and the roaring waves.

What would her father say of her now? Gaze downwards, a hint of sadness touches her mouth and she brushes it carefully, deciding of the next song to play. It hasn’t happened long before her fingers stop caressing the ebony and ivory keys at the echo of a very dearly missed voice. Not even a week has passed and she still gets emotional at hearing him.

The surprise leaves her eyes but she settles into a gentle smile. “Good morning, Samekichi.”

His grumpiness doesn’t affect her, it’s a part of him she had grown to love. Instead, her eyes soften and she carefully, very carefully tries to not seem like a crybaby. He will probably notice when she feels down except it isn’t the truth, it’s a constant relief to see him there, when she had waited longer than everything to see him in the house again. Laughing softly, her eyes twinkle.

“You looked like you were enjoying your sleep.”

     ❛ … WADANOHARA. ❜   HUM OF AN GENTLE CALL,  a brief peace filled his lungs by the mention of her name    —-    a much gentle look described usual scrunched face   //   eyes that held anger and INGENUITY KINDNESS   //   such shall all perish whenever an ANGEL descends to keep a hold of his hand.  +  BLESS THE PRESENCE OF A SHARK WITH HER SMILE..    (   o’ how much you love her smile  //  her way of walking, talking    ——-   the gentleness with a wave of MATURITY which overgrown overdue time you’d spend your life doomed within HELL, itself    +    how could you NOT enjoy such moments?    )    by the time being,   steps taken path towards the PIANO ROOM   –  of course the beloved one was THERE.    ——————-    o’ bless your bloodied ears with MELODY OF LOVE  AND HARMONY!    ❛  YOU WERE ALREADY   –   up?  geez, don’t you know to wake ME up, too..?   ❜   YET A SMALL SMIRK SHIED  through lips. how COULD he stay mad with her?

She laughs, breathy laughter suffocating the soothful feeling of the encounter. Nostalgia of what’s never been known bubbles up and a reprimend whisper is murmured in the echoes of her mind. How can she not know him? Her dear father, residing in the tides, in the waves, in the shores.

Always watchful, always a protector, always with her.

Oh, who she wishes she had known sooner before all the catastrophe had happened to this sea and that dear old familiar of hers decided to take the bait to protect everyone. But she can’t lament forever as she protects what her father left behind, Her precious father still loving her from afar.

“Father.” A whisper against the blue sea who loves back.
