liz made her way up the stairs to the rooftop, a blanket wrapped around her. she planned to go up on the rooftop to clear her head. she wasn’t sure if anyone was already up there until she hear the soft music playing around her. she pushed the door open slowly as she finally made it to the rooftop. “hey..! is it okay if i join you?” 

✍ THE SOFT VOICE OF ANOTHER had him glancing over his shoulder , his gaze settling on a young woman he has occasionally bumped into a few times while either entering or leaving the apartment building — though they never spoken words other than ‘ sorry ‘ towards each other . “ uh ... yeah , of course . ” he hopped down from the ledge and slowly walked towards the small table . “ there’s pizza if you like , i promise it’s not poisoned . ” he said jokingly as he gestured towards the box of pizza .

the four walls suffocate her from time to time, but the worst part of is, not knowing where to go when it happens. she’s lured to the roof - maybe to simply adore the night sky, or just to feel lonely; alone enough to finally force herself to draw something. it’s funny how she’s almost always motivated by her negative feelings, rather than the fragile & rare happy moments. blank pages in hand, she stands behind the closed door, listening to the soft tune leaking in. murphy’s law - she tries to stay silent & not to spook whomever is having a moment, but the noise, oh the noise coming from the door, now that’s just .. nasty. “sorry,” she yells from afar, eyes meeting the familiar figure. “well i can keep you close? and .. i can, for sure, love you the most, shrek boy.”

✍  THE UNEXPECTED INTERRUPTION startled him , causing him to lose his footing and force himself to fall backward onto the hard floor . the sound of his beating heart ringing in his ears as he attempted to calm himself down . that was close . his hand rose to his chest , fists gripping onto the loose t-shirt while he looked up to find the source of the noise . “ of course , ” his eyes squinting into a glare as he stood up , wiping away the dirt on his jeans. “ hey , i look like hot shrek ... that doesn’t help me at all does it ? ” he mumbled under his breath . “ what are you even doing up here this late ? thought the whole building would’ve been asleep by now . ”

✍    VANCOUVER SLEEP CLINIC’S SOMEONE TO STAY sounded from the portable speaker that was perched up onto a wooden table , accompanied by a box of pizza and a bottle of champagne .  nathan parkes stood on the edge of the apartment building , a glass of champagne in his hand while his other was stuffed into the front pocket of his jeans . the city lights blended almost seamlessly with the stars above and he was captivated it — so captivated he didn’t hear the entrance to the rooftop squeak open.

wanted to pursue a career in acting but was forced by his parents to work for their company as an accountant manager.

relationship issues ? last relationship ended because of his infidelity.

all about family & friends so game night is a must.
