REDUCING A SET-IN SLEEVE CAP - http://www.fashionsewingblog.com/reducing-set-in-sleeve-cap/
Set-in sleeves are designed to have just the right amount of ease to fit into an armhole so that the sleeve hangs correctly.
If there is any fullness or folds in the cap area of the sleeve, your sewing pattern is going to need reducing.

YOUR FASHION SEWING BLOG ‘SLEEVE CAP’ CRIB SHEET:
1: Begin at the shoulder point seam line, measuring down about 6cm’s / 2.5 inches and from that mark, draw a straight line across the cap from one side to the other.
2: Make a fold or cut into the pattern so you have two clear distinctive pieces. Now overlap the cap part of the pattern to the other piece to your required amount.
3: Once secured into position, re-draw the seam line and cut-away the unwanted sections of the pattern.
