FURTHER EDITING
After a tutorial session, one piece of feedback was to experiment with adding blank sections to the beat to give it that strobe effect. Whilst experimenting with it throughout my edits, it fit perfectly here. It different adds more variety to this edit specifically, it also breaks up the reverse edit from the normal video.

FURTHER EDITING
This is another edit, using the same filter and fish eye lens. I edited the clip to reverse on beat with the music and then duplicated the clip and cut in down into different sections of that clip to be cut on time with the following beats of the music. I really like this creative visual, I think it adds some interest to the fashion film itself than just the outfits and the model.

FILM EDITING EXPERIMENTATION
I really enjoy this second edit i done as it is less chaotic and creates tension as well as holds connection with the audience. I like this edit if i know im going to be including a lot of fast pace edits and want to have variety and not over do the quick pace edits.

FILM EDITING WITH PREMIERE PRO
This is my first edit with premier pro. I edited the colour of the video as the Fuji ETERNA 250D Fuji 3510 (by adobe) to create some sort of retro looking aesthetic. The clips I cut into place where created to be cut on beat with the music. I also added the Gucci text on beat with the music too.

CHOSEN EDITS
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I chose these edits as these create the most retro atmosphere and aesthetic without over-doing it. It also has the most relevance to my chosen outlet, Gucci website. I think that's very important to keep in mind so it doesn't look as if its not meant to be apart of the brand.

EDIT EXPERIMENTATION

On the UNFOLD app, I also experimented with creating a film, plastic and digital sort of effect with the templates on there. I really like how different these are and they really give each image a different atmosphere.

EDIT EXPERIMENTATION
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
For the these edits through the UNFOLD app. I really enjoy the paper effect, it feels very retro. They are also very visually pleasing to look at. I also put the contrast down and lightened the images to amplify that paper/newspaper look.
For the edits I took inspiration from Guccis collection edits, I wanted to create a similar atmosphere and create some resemblance to further connect the images to the brand outlet I have chosen, which is the Gucci website. I was inspired to create that white frame in the second collection, it really adds to the retro vibe and creates some interest to not only the clothes and image separately.

EDIT EXPERIMENTATION
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are edits I have done with the VSCO app to create some subtle changes, such as lower the saturation, add vignette and lower the exposure. I wanted to try a more subtle way of editing. From previous research, I found hat retro colours are less saturation colours to normal bright colours.

EDIT EXPERIMENTATION

This edit has also been done through the prequel app. The effect I have create is a polaroid effect. I have created some bleeding of the colours which polaroid are known for doing. There is a blur, grain and bright effect which again adds to the retro, polaroid aesthetic I have created here. I really like the edit however, I find it takes away the quality from the photography I produced.
I have provided an after and before picture to really see the difference.

EDIT EXPERIMENTATION
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This edit was made with the prequel app. The edit is very less saturated, high contrast, grainy with a glitch effect that you can see on the bottom half of the image. I really feel like this edit amplifies the retro concept as well with the second image and the glitch, it represents a video cam sort of effect, which I enjoy. However, I find this takes attention away from the outfit and the concept, which I don't want to do.

EDIT EXPERIMENTATION

Tumblr media
With the VSCO app I experimented with some black and white editing. I really like the edits, I feel like it helps emphasis the depth and lighting of the image, it also create more focus on the outfit instead of focusing on the colours, however I don't think this fits with my concept at all because the colours are meant to be seen as apart of the maximalist and clashing fashion approach.

EDIT EXPERIMENTATION
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are the first edits I have experimented with. I wanted to achieve a retro and grainy type of edit. For these edits I used VSCO and put the contrast up to 30, put the saturation down to -22, added a blue and green hue, put the vignette to 3.2 and added grain to the images.
I really like how these have turned out, the less saturated, blue hue and high contrast look really reminds me on a polaroid.

CHOSEN STILL IMAGES
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have chosen these 4 images as they all present a different pose, angle and mood. I really enjoy how the first image is just straight on stood still pose, it really amplifies the outfit as well looks very high end, and the contrast of the background is really nice and helps the outfit stand out even more.
The second image displays the outfit perfectly without repeating the same pose previously. The image create an atmosphere and a scene which I find creative and visually pleasing. I also like how the angle is slightly lower than straight on.
I chose the third image because I knew I wanted to include a fish eye lens within the still images, I find it really helps connect the images to the fashion film which consists a lot of the fish eye lens. Not only that I really like the pose since the shot is up close which is contrasting to the other shots. It gives the selection a bit of variety and less repetition. I also liked it because you can see the nail vanish on the nails.
The last image was chosen because of the different pose and the different angle it was shot at. It was shot low and from the side which is again, different from the others. I also think this pose is very high end and something I would see on the Gucci website.

VISUAL STORYBOARD
This last bit of my storyboard shows the last location in Avenham and Millers Park, using the fish eye lens as well as straight on still filming that was shot whilst considering the editing process decisions I was going to make. It shows the camera following the model as mentioned in the shot list as well as still filming of the model dancing around the foundation which are screen shots from the video. Lastly, screen shots from filming normal panning to upside. I was able to achieve all the angles and movements I previously mentioned when researching inspiration for the filming process.

VISUAL STORYBOARD
This section shows the 3rd location, the Japanese Garden. The first row shows screen shots of my video panning the model from bottom to top. The middle shows a screenshot from when the model was walking and I followed his steps, and the model shining from the tree and filming straight on. The last row is panning from left to right as the model flicks his scarf.

VISUAL STORYBOARD
This section of my storyboard shows a lot of the angles from location 2, the florist. You can see low angles from the bottom row which is screen shots of a video panning up to the model close up as he looks from left to right and panning to the right side. The middle shows a pan action from the flowers to the model which I have screen shotted from a video. The top row again shows the close up shots and far away shots which use of the fish eye lens.

VISUAL STORYBOARD
This is the beginning of my storyboard to help visually bring my concept and shot list to life. I have taken screenshots from videos showing the angles I mentioned in my shot list, such as from below, straight on, close up and even the upside down panning shot I mentioned, and a screenshot of panning from one side in the first screenshot.
