attacks to wei wuxian's character become even more ridiculous when compared against attacks against other 'similar' protagonists — for the latter, the critique always supports itself on the fact this character didn't help a minority group, whatever that may be depends on the context, anywhere near enough what they should've, according to the person putting forward this opinion.

however, when someone like wei wuxian actually does this, because he's a good person, but still gets punished for it because he lives in an unfair world much like ours, people on this site and on the musk app somehow still get mad at him? all because their blorbo of choice isn't the saint in this situation, therefore that must mean the protagonist is the spawn of satan or whatever.
