In her last moments, Elijah had been consumed in the problems of his family as he always was and it was perhaps one of his regrets until he’d heard of all she’d done after. The original felt that he had spent far too long searching for someone that had died long ago and the person left behind was far from someone he wished to help. 

“We all have our facades, Katerina…-” his words were stated rather simply, his gaze landing elsewhere. “Except my own don’t seem to make me as vengeful and hate ridden as yours have.” he heard about Mystic Falls, somehow he was unsurprised.

"Except, this isn't a facade Elijah," she responds with a rather duh tone, "I'm only the monster you and your psychotic brother turned me into, and with all the things I've heard about you lately you’re the last person who should be passing judgment.”

Kai could have guessed as much and to be honest he wasn’t upset with the task if anything he was more than happy for it. “I do enjoy my flare.” He admits with a longing sigh and nod. A dark smile creeps on his face, “Oh yes, I am more than willing to let you deal with the idiot brothers. I get Bonnie you have them, Caroline and Alaric well my idea for my nieces is enough to cripple them. Bonnie, she’ll need extra attention.” He had to think on her, she was the only one that Kai could see as a real threat, which excited him more than scared. “Ah what about Elena? Does she fall under Salvatore territory or is she free range?”

Katherine didn't initially have plans to reunite herself with the Mystic Falls gang after what happened in 2018. When she extracted her revenge for them baiting her with her dying daughter she fled the country to let things tide over, give them time to feel safe again. She wasn’t going to risk her life any further and after clawing her way up Hell’s ranks, even a queen needed a vacation. But now Klaus has resurfaced and of course, she’s going to investigate, the other’s being here was just a happy accident. A mischevious grin forms upon her features as he's quick to agree, "I'll worry about Elena, after all, she is their pride & joy."

Kai stares the doppelganger down and nods before lifting a hand and squeezing it shut quickly causing the necks of the two humans to snap like twigs. “You have my full attention, of course.” He smiles at her, “I mean I know what you can do for me, but what is it you could want from little old me is the real question.”

"Good," Katherine replies as she maneuvers closer towards him, "I need you to give our old friends a welcoming, some southern hospitality if you will, something with a little flare. You can do whatever you want with the other’s and your bennett bitch but the Salvatores are mine.”

He chuckles and looks back to Katherine, “What the scooby gang? They’re get what is coming to them. I got nothing but time.” Their home was gone that was a knock to the chest for them he was sure but his focus would remain in those twins. “I should really visit my little nieces though, I’m sure they miss their uncle Kai.” He ponders for a moment, “I really don’t think they should be raised by some outsider, Jo wouldn’t want that.” He smiles, two twins were a threat, only one twin well he only needed one gone.

Katherine briefly follows his gaze towards their audience as he does so, quite disinterested in their presence. As a vampire, this sort of situation would've appealed to her, but as a witch, she preferred to only kill when necessary, “I think you and I could help one another.”

“I suppose if anyone should know of such things, then that would certainly only be you…Katerina.”  While part of him was certainly glad she was alive, be it the pat of him that had long ago tried to find the peasant girl he’d once known..another knew full well of all she had done and he certainly wasn’t willing to risk the safety of his family or his niece for that matter. “That would depend on the help you would be looking for, after all it seems any time you ask for such things-or even when you do not-the only person benefiting from it is yourself.” he was far from a fan of her games.

She felt betrayed by Elijah, after all the last she saw him he was bargaining for her freedom with the only thing she really had to offer, the cure – which in the end he lost & wasn’t heard from again, even as she laid dying on her deathbed. Silence is all she offers in response as her features soften, he wasn’t wrong. "If I don't look out for myself nobody else will,” is her simple response. Katherine wasn't going to apologize for being selfish, being manipulative, after all, it's gotten her this far. "Still pretending to be the noble brother?"

A small laugh escapes her, "you feel attacked?" Cue a reminding look over to the terrified couple. "I just think you're wasting your talents. Why waste time on them when there’s a city full of more foreign specimen to play with? After all, your bffs from Mystic Falls are here and you and I both know they can always be taken down a peg.”

Kai stood in the middle of the room with a man and woman, pinned to the wall with his magic as he paced around. “I mean the possibilities are endless!” He exclaims with his hands in the air, “Bloody mess, neat and clean, quick and painless, slow and painful.” He lists off quickly dipping his head back and forth with each option. His head pops up as the door opens and he grins, “Ah! Yes, perfect you can help.” He points to the one walking in before knocking his own forehead like ‘Duh’, popular vote, perfect idea. “Everyone goes classic fire, I mean its a classic for a reason but I was thinking electricity, maybe some knife throwing for fun instead?” 

Katherine's brows furrow as she's confronted with the scene before her, of course, she's initially shocked but as soon as she places Kai her nerves settle. “Seriously?” Katherine inquires, “I’ve got to admit, this is a bit creepy, even for you.”

Gia wasn’t one to be a slob when she drank blood but since she had been back, she had been starved and she didn’t have time to be careful. She just needed to be fed. She heard some footsteps and she knew she was gonna have to stop. She threw the body into the garbage pile and tried to wipe her mouth. “You shouldn’t be walking alone this late,” She said as she tried to wipe her mouth as much.
