KEY NOTES

THE TRIAD … the triad was created by one witch, one vampire and one werewolf with the intent to exterminate all supernatural entities. the founders themselves each despised their own kind and their unnatural existence in the world. they radicalize humans and find supernatural beings of the original supernatural bloodlines who share the same mission of extermination to run the agency. they run in secrecy as an independent contractor with the government while being a research facility for illnesses as a front. the agency has existed for generations and possess the knowledge to use supernatural beings skills against them. for example, knowledge of the dark objects, vampirism lust for blood, werewolf curses, etc.

MALIVORE … malivore is the project name given by the triad for the creation of monsters : it is not its own entity. the monsters that come from malivore are not "mystical creatures" created by the pit but instead creations made in a lab over generations set to kill supernatural beings. they are made from the magical strains that are found in vampires, werewolves and witches which are often from specialized victims of their attacks. for example, people turned directly by an original vampire, indigenous pack leaders and abnormal witches. the bodies often used for the monsters are either victims or volunteering radicalized humans if they are not their own vessel. they will still exit out of a pit as it is a manifestation of darkness but it will never be anything beyond a project name and a location.

SALVATORE BOARDING SCHOOL … lizzie and josie have a school built for them after the death of their uncle stefan. the school is ran by both caroline and alaric.

RECOGNIZING JO … lizzie would have recognized jo. i'll accept the fact that she was a bitch to jo solely out of loyalty to caroline but lizzie knew exactly who that woman was.

RELATIONSHIP WITH HOPE … in my canon, the girls always had a strong and healthy relationship with hope because they are considered freaks of nature and abominations to their kind. they never would have secluded her.

MENTAL STATUS … lizzie is professionally diagnosed with bipolar disorder episode i and having to take medications as well as attends therapy to manage her symptoms. what this means? she experiences both manic and depressive episodes with its intensity and longevity varying. she was institutionalized 2 times during her teen years for having active suicidal ideations with one of the admissions providing the official diagnosis.

FRIEND GROUP … at this rate for the actual group itself : i know nothing about them or their relationship in the show with lizzie. as far as i'm concerned, outside of josie and hope - the rest were merely just average friends lizzie had on the side to get through school.

RELATIONSHIP ACKNOWLEDGEMENT … i do not acknowledge lizzie's relationship or whatever the fuck it was with sebastian. i know nothing about it nor do i care to. i do not acknowledge lizzie's crush (relationship? i don't know) on mg. as far as my portrayal goes, he was just someone who had an infatuation with her and she didn't return the favor even after letting him down multiple times. i don't know if any other relationship or crush was expressed for or by lizzie during this show but just to keep consistency : i don't acknowledge it.

HERETIC + THE MERGE … my lizzie is not a heretic (if you haven't caught this drift yet that's how i know you haven't read my rules!) and are incapable of speeding up the merge. it happens at 22 and if they don't do it the girls will literally drop dead the following day.

POST HIGH SCHOOL … lizzie graduates at the age of 17 and moves to new york city to go to columbia university to receive her undergrad degree.

PARENTAL RELATIONSHIP … lizzie has a complicated relationship with both alaric and caroline. a lot of it does have to deal with her episodes of mental health and the episodes she endures, feeling like she had minimal support and other aspects feeling like the school came first. it was something really complex for her to deal with early on in life.

THE GEMINI COVEN

THE DISCOVERY … it's important to recognize the gemini coven was created during 1st century b.c. as it dates back to the time the immortality spell was created and their ties to the travelers. they are one of the first known covens to exist within the supernatural world.

POWER EXTENSION … leaders of the coven have the ability to extend their powers to their members and share their strength. with that being said, just as easily as it is to provide, it is as easy to take.

THE MERGE … the merge occurs at 22 and there is no changing it. there is no way to speed up or slow down the process or in general escape. the reason for the merge existing is because of the fact the travelers had cursed the gemini's for using magic from nature. even if a gemini witch dies before the ascension, it would go to the next in line or in the case they'd turn into a heretic, the curse would sentence the twins to death if they avoid the merge by 22.

GEMINI REINCARNATION … reincarnation is a dominant aspect of the gemini's. it's why the merge is such a crucial part of their coven. the leader of the merge is meant to act as a beacon of power for the reincarnated souls for the gemini members to find their way back to the coven and begin the next phase of their legacy. their deaths are not and will never be final as their souls are scattered across the globe when death does does approach their doorstep. although members of the gemini are reincarnated, the twins battling for leadership work differently. the losing twins reincarnation is postponed and does not occur until the winning twins death occurs. the reason for that is because of the fact not only does the winning twin absorb their powers but their overall essence. there's no disbursement of a soul to find a way back because it's technically already residing within a member.

GEMINI COVEN GRIMOIRE + SACRIFICES … the books of the gemini are not toys as the coven was not known to ever play it safe. several spells require the draining of blood that could cause death due to the fact the gemini thrive in the ideology of sacrifices in the name of the coven for the greater good. in addition to that, majority of the books were cursed by the various families who were members. the curses have the capability of causing a supernatural and non-supernatural being to go mad and develop a severe case of paranoia with side effects remaining permanent between a low and high intensity. their spells are ritual and not meant to be used outside of the followers; therefore lizzie or josie have to be present when anyone even touches the books in order to reduce the possibility of the side effects happening to the reader by tricking the curses into believing only members are using it. the spells of the gemini coven found in every families grimoires are made for members of the coven and members only. all of the spells will fail without a gemini coven member present casting regardless of who you are due to the sanctity and secrecy the gemini's prided itself on.

GEMINI COVEN GRIMOIRE + SPELL CREATION … outside of the fact most of the spells require twins performing it, several involve blood magic with an occasional gemini coven member sacrifice because of how much blood is actually used. those spells are heavy and dark magic influenced and not ones lizzie and josie will ever go near especially due to the fact they are the last living declared members. the twins have the ability to modify the spells but the effectiveness isn’t the same as if they were to use the drastic measures the spells originally require. so, with that being said, the twins have the ability to add to the grimoire and only the twins set to merge regardless if it's meant to be performed as a duo or a solo. lizzie creates spells and thrives doing so but in the process, she keeps the tradition of imbuing her own blood into it. it is a drastic amount that’s used but the more the used, the stronger it is. the pages of spells that require blood are written in the grimoire with it rather than using normal ink. there are multiple grimoires since the coven had been around for millenniums with all being dangerous and deadly with the greatest harm being towards non-twins and non-coven members. although some are in the library and archives, lizzie managed to swipe many from the schools shelves and cloak them so no one had access to it specifically the parker families as they place the coven before family throughout the centuries. the gemini grimoire is a last resort even for lizzie to touch because of the danger and damage it can cause to everyone who aren’t the twins.

POWER STRUCTURE

SIPHONING … lizzie is a siphon witch belongs to the nearly extinct gemini coven who needs to drain magical energy in order to cast or practice spells as they do not have their own own source of magic. during this process, it fuels their power but it also drains the essence of who they are draining from and can cause excruciating pain, even death. if possible, they will try and default to magical objects first before turning to supernatural beings.

CREATION OF THE ASCENDANT … the gemini witches are the only ones capable of creating any form of prison worlds. depending on how the ascendant is created, they can modify the ascendant to open with their blood but can also use another as a safety default. regardless, unless belonging to the gemini coven, no other magical creature has the ability to create the prison worlds.

SENSATION OF MAGIC … since the twins draw magic from various sources, they are able to feel the presence of it. it’s primarily a feeling that draws them to it but sometimes it can become overwhelming. the twins learned how to manage it by valerie and bonnie, both who helped train them to control the urges of draining entities of their entire supernatural essence. as the twins got older, it became somewhat easier but they still go through waves that make it difficult to function.

SIPHON LIMIT … lizzie and josie do not have a limit on how much magic they can intake. again, they are siphons designed to hold infinite power, drain and displace magic into themselves or into other people or objects. their minds are constantly hyperfixated on where to place more energy because they can never have enough of it. to drain the power is literally like an addiction. lizzie and josie have barely scratched the surface of their full capability when it comes to their powers. the potential that the girls have is truly infinite the more and more magical energy that they draw from.

COMPULSION … whether as a gemini or a heretic, compulsion does not work on their species_. they are still witches in both forms; therefore no vampires are capable of using it on them. in addition to that, she is also a siphon. most (if not all) supernatural creations or abilities are used against her it's extremely easy for lizzie's body to absorb it away to produce natural magic.

BLOOD SHARING … due to being the first hybrid nature of vampirism and witchcraft, the coven possessed the abilities of being able to see the memories, also known as blood sharing}, of people they draw blood memories from whether it be a drop or large amounts of it. yet, if the ability is not mastered, it’ll be in flashes and brief moments that are inconsistent. the issue is that the portions given can be misleading so the story being told can be incorrect. the heretic coven leaders are the ones who possess the ability and decide who are able and worthy to learn unless born into the line of leadership of the gemini coven prior to becoming a heretic. it then becomes the coven leaders duty to teach them how it works as it demonstrates leadership standpoints. it’s a primary reason why blood memories are linked to heretics only and those who transitioned from the gemini coven as the two have its links together.

SIPHON'S IRIS CHANGE … siphons iris will change to a crimson red to match the shade of their palms as they drain from their energy source. it’s originally faint as children as the color is something that shows the progression of strength and knowledge as they get older. although, when it does solidify in color, it doesn’t necessarily mean they have mastered everything when it comes to their abilities. it just means they’ve finally mastered the technique of siphoning itself of where they can radiate it throughout various places through their body and not simply through the palms of their hands.

HERETICS IRIS CHANGE … when siphons turn into heretics, their eyes will turn into a very complex version of their witches eyes. their iris will remain crimson red as they are witches who drain from some form of magical source whether it be now from themselves or something else but in addition, they’re vampires. the first of their kind to exist who could preform magic and escape the natural loophole. heretics we’re freaks of natures, abominations. they stand out compared to other vampires in every way, shape and form. they could never deny or hide who they were because of it. with their iris still being crimson red, whites of their eyes will also shift to a jet black and look as if it’s filled with darkness. it's almost a feral, vicious deranged look. hard to look at but difficult to turn away once you see and because of it, their looks often left them outcasted from the vampire community. not enough to be witches, not enough to be vampires, simply heretics.

FULL NAME … elizabeth dianne saltzman.

ALIAS … lizzie.

SIGNIFICANCE … named in honor of her maternal grandmother, elizabeth ‘ liz ’ forbes who passed away due to cancer and dianne saltzman who is her paternal grandmother. chosen to go by lizzie due to the fear of bringing shame to both grandmothers name.

DATE OF BIRTH … march 15th.

AGE … twenty-one by default, verse dependent.

IMPORTANT LOCATIONS … born in mckinley, virginia but primarily grew up in mystic falls, virginia. lizzie also lived in new york city, new york for 3.5 years for undergraduate school and now travels.

GENDER … cisfemale, she / her.

SPECIES … witch ( siphon ).

SEXUALITY … bisexual, biromantic.

LANGUAGES … english, russian, french, greek, latin and variety of other languages due to her own studies or learned while traveling throughout other countries.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES … throughout her youth, she was involved in gymnastics and pageantry at her mothers request before switching sports; although now participates recreationally. lizzie participated in club and school cheer and dance teams as their captain as well as the president of the fashion club which she started freshman year of high school. during her time at columbia university, lizzie participated in her sports recreationally but was involved in greek life in the kappa kappa gamma chapter as the recruitment chair and eventually president.

EDUCATION … lizzie graduated from salvatore boarding school for the young & gifted and was #1 in her class by the time she graduated at 17. lizzie then goes on to receive her bachelors through columbia university to graduate in 3.5 years. eventually, lizzie does obtain her masters and doctorate through harverd university.

INTELLIGENCE QUOTIENT … lizzie was tested for her intellectual properties and tested in the very gifted and highly advanced level averaging a score of 195 on the i.q. tests. it's something she had no desire to ever brag about because of the fact she enjoyed falling into the dumb blonde stereotype that was cast upon her while at school. yet, after graduation, everyone was surprised to see that she was #1 in the class who easily got into the ivy leagues. lizzie's aware if it weren't for the fact she was a witch who struggles with her emotions and behavioral outbursts, she had the potential to be at a school for intellectually gifted. simultaneously, she knew there was a benefit remaining at a school that was directly built for their kind. lizzie also has an eidetic memory which allows her to recall things from memory with high precision after seeing or hearing it once without using a mnemonic device. they can appear like clear images in her mind or just the entire conversation she'll memorize essentially like a transcript.

MENTAL HEALTH … when lizzie turned eighteen, she was clinically diagnosed with bipolar 1 disorder. it is monitored by medication and therapists to help alleviate the symptoms and navigate behaviors.

PHYSIQUE

EYE COLOR … lizzie has clear crystal blue hues with hybrid and volumized lash extensions.

SKIN TONE … she appears to have a light complexion but is frequently in the sun so it brings her skin tone to a more olive color.

HAIR … lizzie is a natural blonde, she primarily dyes her hair to a platinum blonde color throughout the year. her hair is extremely curly with it being lengthy, usually at the waist. sometimes lizzie will wear extensions but primarily it's all natural. lizzie also has a proper upkeep regime when it comes to hair care as she cannot handle the feeling of dead hair. remember, lizzie strives for perfection so anything that looks out of place will look out cause her anxiety.

HEIGHT … five foot and ten inches.

BODY BUILT … due to the amount of physical activities lizzie partakes in, she appears to have extremely toned arms, legs and stomach. she is involved in cheer, dance, gymnastics, pageantry and participates in recreational water and winter sports. if she isn't in practice or at a game, lizzie is usually at the gym. her physical appearance means a great deal to her and she spends majority of her day upkeeping it in one way or another.

SCARS … lizzie has developed faded scars on palms due to the frequency of blood magic as well as burn marks on her inner thighs due to self harm. the scars on her hand are fairly faint as there are spells to help heal but she does not have healing properties that are the same as vampires or werewolves so they don't disappear. lizzie does not use any magic to erase any of her self harm marks on her body as they are reminders of her survival.

01. this is a private, mutually exclusive and selective independent roleplay blog for elizabeth 'lizzie' saltzman from the vampire diaries universe.

02. this blog is canon divergent and firmly anti julie plec. i do not follow legacies canon storyline and did not watch the show post 1x05. my portrayal of lizzie is my own adaption into the vampire diaries universe. i still write with tvdu (legacies) characters but know it will require plotting.

in my default verse, lizzie is not a heretic!

03. i’ve been rping lizzie since 2016 (but a jolaric based kid character since 2015 anyways besides the point). with that being said, i've adapted lizzie to my own interpretation on multiple levels so please do not steal things outside of whatever was established as canon. i hate confrontation but i will approach you if i see something that is based off my own creation.

04. don't powerplay, metagame, godmod, etc. lizzie is a siphon who is capable of draining an infinite amount of power. a walking juicebox who absorbs energy through various parts of her body. she is a very powerful witch and i refuse to downplay that for any character. i genuinely do not give a flying fuck what type of character you're writing because i'm tired of people trying to overpower her and write it off as if she's nothing. unless we realistically plot something out extensively, do not break this rule or you will be hardblocked. if this comes across as rude, i'm sorry but i've been running into this issue repeatedly and i'm realistically over it.

05. i love pre-established and chemistry based things. as long as i see potential for something, i am usually game. i will not participate in any form of gross and/or predatory behaviors. this includes but is not limited to writing relationships about incest, rape, etc. if you participate, engage or condone these behaviors even if this is just writing, stay away from me.

06. lthough lizzie is of age, no smut will be written physically on this blog. it if insinuates in any way that it's happening, i'll ask for it to move to discord.

07. any other triggering topics will will be tagged as #trigger /. this blog will have very sensitive material such as suicidal ideations and hospitalizations so please proceed with caution if you do decide to follow and interact with me. lizzie is not her diagnosis nor is it her personality but you cannot separate her bipolar from who she is.

08. my activity can be extremely sporadic as i do have a life outside of rping and at one point was considering retiring since i've been on this site for over a decade. there's times i'm active, times where i just lurk, and days where i'm not around. if you don't like that, this blog won't be for you.
