I just wanted to take a minute and thank you all again for joining me in celebrating Fates Week this year. Fates is one of my favorite games ever, and has meant so much to me personally these past 10 years. I can't believe it's been so long already! And it means so much to me and makes me so incredibly happy that so many people also wanted to join in celebrating this fun and beautiful game. I hope as a community we can continue to share and spread the passion and love we have for Fates together 💗

Fates Week (late) Day 5: Dragon

Oh, this could not be happening! What has Corrin ever done to deserve such a fate? If they had committed some unspeakable crimes in a past life, couldn't they just have been reborn as worm instead of... All this?

Simply their two families being close to each other on its own would be awkward enough but this is a battle field and oh gods, they demand they fight for them against the other...

"Well, Corrin. Will you fight with us, or against us?"

"Corrin, don't listen to him."

Xander and Ryoma's expectant frowns only worsened Corrin's insecurity at the moment. If the half-dragon had it their way they woul-

An idea just crossed their mind. This might backfire on them spectacularly, but it's worth a shot if anything. Dragonstone in hand, Corrin takes on their draconic form and gazes down on their older brothers, observing the two with eyes they cannot see. Not even Xander on his horse stands higher than them now and he, as well as Corrin's Nohrian family, seem quite shaken by their transformation.

"I refuse to take up the sword. I'm a dragon. Your orders don't bind me."

The battlefield froze. The common soldiers of both nations unable but to look upon Corrin completely awestruck, quite a lot of them kneeling or bowing before them.

Only the royals, who carry their own draconic blood still stand, though Corrin can see the eyes twitching in some.

"Excuse me?" Xander's especially.

"I refuse to take up the sword. I do not want to take part in this war."

Not something that either Nohrian nor Hoshidan wanted to hear, if their reactions are anything to go by. Camilla looks positively hurt and Hinoka looks ready to snap their neck. In a rare moment of unity between the two nations, Takumi and Leo are both scorning them while Elise and Sakura seem to be more conflicted than anything really.

But the most important, of course, will be Xander and Ryoma. The Crown Princes. Those that carry enough authority to go and order about anyone in their respective kingdoms. Anyone mortal, that is.

"You have had those powers for a few days, Corrin." Ryoma scoffs. "And already you think that can excuse such cowardice!?"

"For once I have to agree with Prince Ryoma." That tone is usually reserved for people that Xander is about to cuss out. "I have trained you personally for well over four years now! And you decide to just, sit on the fence? Refuse the call to war because you just turned out to be a dragon? I'd rather you at least pick Hoshido's side, this is shameful!"

"As a matter of fact, yes. I will 'sit on the fence.' But don't think that this means I will never enter a fight. I will defend the peace and quiet on my fence here." Corrin straightens their neck upwards, stretches their wings and takes a more stable stance. "Go ahead, try and send your men after me to press gang me. See what happens."

"Oh, this is just perfect!" It would be wise not to mention that Ryoma is about as red in the face as his armor right now. But to Corrin's chagrin, he begins bickering with Xander again "Look what fine mess your inefficient training has gotten me in, Prince Xander!"

"You? Do you honestly think as if this isn't a huge problem for me either?"

A weary sigh escapes Azura, who proudly stands beside Corrin. "And there they go bickering again..."

"Which is a shame because I felt like I need to tell them that there's more going on here..."

Azura does notice something that could change this though...

"Corrin, if you beat their commanders, Ryoma and Xander would have no choice but to listen to you."

I actually had a blast writing this because this specific au (Corrin pointing to the fact that they're a dragon as a get-out-of-jail-free card at the choice between Nohr and Hoshido) has been on my mind for ages!

The delayed day 3, which I should’ve posted last night, but then I got distracted. :p

Rehashing my own notes within the fic but basically, new Valla’s probably gonna be starting completely from scratch, even if the original land had certain influences in its design. And really, Azura’s not going to remember as much as she would like to rebuild the old culture.

Also, sometimes I just want the second gen kids to have them for writing, I’m not gonna be fussed about who to pair up to justify them. So don’t worry about Shigure’s father, it doesnt matter here, just Shigure ^-^

Fire Emblem Fates: Revelations Rewrite - Finale (Part 1)

(This isn’t technically for Fates Week but I still wanna share this as the event comes to an end)

Everything had gone dark, not a single sound could be heard and prince/princess Corrin felt really exhausted. The last thing they remembered was fighting against the remaining eye of Anankos; their Hoshidan siblings turned into dragons alongside them to finish him off.

Then there was a voice… thanking them all for setting him free. Not long after, an earthquake emerged and Lilith showed up to help. What happened next was blurry, all but a bright shine of light.

Now darkness remained. That is, until a faint call reached Corrin’s ears softly.

???: Corrin… can you hear me?

(Corrin blinked open their eyes, still feeling noxious but was steady enough to lift their head off the ground)

Corrin: Nngh. What happened?

Elise: *gasp* CORRIN!

Sakura: Oh thank goodness. I thought you were l-lost for a second.

(The youngest princesses hug their big brother/sister tightly out of happiness and relief)

Corrin: Sakura, Elise, you’re both okay.

Sakura: O-Of course, we all are. You wouldn’t believe what I had to do to make sure everyone was safe. I admit I was scared at first, but I didn’t want anybody to d-die.

Corrin: I’m proud to here that from you, Sakura.

Elise: Hey everybody! Corrin is awake now!

(From the distance, the rest of Corrin’s siblings from both Hoshido and Nohr came rushing forward in bliss)

Takumi: Ha! I knew you wouldn’t fall that easy.

Leo: You must have the devil’s own luck after all.

Camilla: Oh my sweet Corrin, to see you managed to pull through means so much to me.

Hinoka: Next time don’t play dead for too long, got it brother/sister?

Corrin: Everyone, I’m glad to know that all of you made it. But can someone mind telling me what happened? Lilith tried to protect us from a sudden quake and… that’s all I can remember unfortunately.

Ryoma: No worries, Corrin. Not only Lilith created a barrier to shield us all from Anankos’ flare-up, it allowed Hinoka, Takumi, Sakura and I to gather everyone and fly ourselves out of Valla in time.

Xander: Such a remarkable feat couldn’t have been pulled off without her; not to mention the enhanced abilities of the dragon abilities of yours, Ryoma.

Ryoma: Heh. Who would’ve thought that my dragon form could grow wings on a whim.

Corrin: I appreciate the efforts you pulled off to get us to safety, Ryoma. To all of you actually. But… where is Lilith now?

Xander: Even we struggle with the answer. For when we all came to, she was nowhere to be seen - not even the Bottomless Canyon itself.

Corrin: What?

(They looked around only to find they were right. The canyon was gone, only a flat land. Not a single thunderstorm in sight, only the clear night sky of Nohr)

Corrin: So does this mean that Valla is gone forever?

Leo: It surely seems that way. But I cannot argue against it; for it’d be difficult to rebuilt an entire kingdom from the top with all citizens and royalty basically wiped out years ago.

Corrin: I understand. I wonder how Azura feels about this.

Hinoka: We know she probably isn’t taking it well, for she left right before you woke back up.

Corrin: S-She did?

Camilla: The poor dear looked ever so pale once she realised her kingdom is possibly gone forever. We tried to comfort her by saying she can stay at either Hoshido or Nohr, however…

Xander: She confessed that despite all of us uniting to defeat the silent dragon which destroyed Valla, she isn’t fully convinced to let go of the hardships both kingdoms have thrown at her all her life.

Sakura: I understand and… feel very g-guilty too. I really wish to make it up to her.

Takumi: I definitely shouldn’t have been harsh on her too.

Corrin: Azura… well, wherever she goes for the time being, I wish for her the best and to forgive us all soon.

Ryoma: We all share that wish, Corrin. Then again, I know for a fact years of bitterness and resentment doesn’t just disappear overnight.

Xander: It took too long for us to overcome that bitterness ourselves; now we have the chance to improve and fix what when wrong between Hoshido and Nohr. Especially between us, Ryoma.

Ryoma: That means a lot for me to hear that, Xander.

Corrin smiled at their older brothers share friendly and inspiring words between one another. All the trial and error they pushed themselves through finally payed off. They knew the rest of the road from here will not be an easy one to tread, but as long as they kept their head up high, and have their whole family at their side, a brighter future could be right around the corner.

My very first FE Fates fanart in years! And it’s based on my own AU where the Hoshidan royals ARE related to Corrin, and all part dragon just like her.

(I apologise if some don’t find this as funny as I do 😅)

Fates Week (late) Day 3: Valla

It still felt somewhat surreal to Corrin. Though it was rather difficult to define what 'it' really is: There's the big victory of killing their draconic father, the whole shebang with said father having gone mad and orchestrated the war between Hoshido and Nohr as a plot to exterminate humanity and, of course, that Azura renounced her claim to Valla's throne which left them rather surprised with a crown on their head.

Corrin. A monarch! They would much rather not but there really isn't anyone better suited to lead the remaining humans of Valla so, with heavy reluctance, they accepted that crown on their head, even though it does not help their many headaches at all.

They first need to do a census to see how many oh their people even remain and then there's the question on what to do with Valla and if Hoshido and Nohr would even accept them heaving the lost kingdom back to the surface! And then there's-

"Little princeling!"

Xander's cheerful tone, in and of itself a paradox for most of Corrin's life, snaps them out of their inner lamenting.

"Just this once, we can all have a break! You should enjoy it!"

"He's right!"

Ryoma chides in too now. And from the few months that they knew him, Corrin could tell that he fell very much in the same pitfalls as Xander when it comes to a healthy work/life balance. To see them both partying like this is... Unusual to say the least.

"It's the big feast for defeating the big evil dragon that was behind all our worries, cut yourself some slack! I know I will be doing it just for today!"

"Oh, eat a dick, that's easy enough for you two to say!"

But perhaps they are right. If even his two workaholic brothers can relax and let their guard down, then they probably should too. His army is throwing a huge feast in the courtyard of Castly Gyges. Azura and Laslow are dancing in front of the fire where Jakob and Peri are roasting pigs, chickens and beef.

All of his siblings, Hoshidans and Nohrians are celebrating together and their retainers are joining in too! Hinata has challenged Effie to an eating contest and is losing badly while Oboro and Selena are busy chatting about fashion. Looking around, Corrin can see the ever so glum Nyx cracking a few smiles at the people around her, while the pairs of siblings in their army are getting some much needed bonding time that isn't overshadowed by the war effort.

Yes. They were indeed right.

"Alright, alright. Just for today, I will ignore the mountain of work that I have been burdened with and spend the first day as monarch partying. Are you two happy now?"
