I love how varied and universally weird the circumstances for making lifelong friendships are. Here's this guy I accidentally messaged once and I could not imagine my life without them now. Here's this girl I was so scared of when I met her, I would kill for her and remind her to rest on the regular. Here's this other guy we have so much in common we used to joke we were the same person in different timelines. It took us years to meet in person and I attended his wedding. There are also people who entered my life in absolutely unremarkable ways but changed it forever for the better. It's wonderful how easy it is to find people to love.
#interacted with my gf a bit on tumblr and then when chaos club server was made#jen put us in a group chat with her#rest is history#met a bestie (who is flying to see me in less then a week wtf) in the fandom of a fan film#she drew fanart of my fic#and we yelled about all sorts back in the day#confided in her about so much#met another friend on the applicant day of our uni course#we texted for months after before we met again and i was convinced she had a crush on me (she did not as far as i’m aware)#(shes just lovely and i wasn’t used to that)#another good friend lives five mins from previous one#but we became friend bc we sat on the same table at a pride society games night#when i was actually trying to get to know my ex (who i had just started texting)#now we go gym and swim and waffles together#another bestie was in the same sign language class as me#when that finished we swapped our ‘study sessions’ to what they really were: infodump sessions#wow friends<3
