Epilogue...

This time, it doesn't take him longer than a few hours to come back.

Maybe it's because he's already died once before, maybe it was because he had the intention to come back this time. Whatever the reason, when Astra opens his eyes again, he's in that same alleyway. Covered in his own blood, aching from the newly aquired scar, and Vega nowhere to be found.

He flexes his hands cautiously, as if he reassure himself. A shaky exhale is released.

Unable and unwilling to hold himself back, Astra simply lays on the dirty, bloody ground and laughs. He laughs and laughs until his ribs are sore and his voice is hoarse. It's only after several minutes, that he calms down again.

"...This isn't the end," he breathes, slowly sitting up, rolling his shoulders to get any kinks out. "As long as you live, every time I'll keep coming back... again, and again, and again."

Until they both finally, blissfully, die together.
