Why the Ethics in Social Media is matters?
By: Fatik Al-Majrafi. ID: 106496 Date: Nov28, 2017
Social media is very widespread today, and most people use it in different stages of age. Children and adults use social media.
Ethics in social media is important because of its widespread use among all people. For example, if something happens in a country, after a few minutes the news will spread all over the world. Also, this ethics are important because of the spread of rumors at the moment. These rumors are spreading very much around the world and most people publish the news without verifying it. So, there must be deterrent laws and ethics in social media.
In addition, with the widespread use of social media, thefts have increased in articles, pictures, videos, programs and more. Now most people steal these things without attributing them to the original source and without documentation.
The laws and ethics in the social media is an urgent need because of the many bad and unmoral images and videos on the different platforms of social media. This has spread a lot unfortunately with poor supervision by parents.
Social media also gave users some freedom to express their opinion and dialogue with others, but some users who are weak morally, do not know the ethics of dialogue and literature, so they insult the person and perhaps they insult his family and society.
An important point in the importance of having an ethic in social media is that the appearance of accounts who impersonate another person. This problem is very frequent in Twitter ,especially, according to my follow-up. With the emergence of crises and problems between countries, suddenly appear many accounts that disintegrate other personalities and these account claim that they are from a state. The main purpose of these accounts is to incite and provoke the public opinion.
To conclude, the ethics in Social Media are matter, because of: spread of rumors, stealing of photos, videos, articles, …etc, sprad of unmoral images and videos and appearance of accounts who impersonate.

Free tertiary education as part of national social development
By: Fatik Al-Majrafi. ID: 106496 Date: Nov21, 2017
Education is the main engine in the development of the nation and the building of civilizations, which is will not happen except build and educate the individual. Additionally, the nation will never grow up except by learning, especially in this fast-paced world.
In this sophisticated life, there is no area and place for the ignorant, but the area for learners and intellectuals. A person had asked Voaltare about who will lead the human gender?, he said: “who knows how to read”. As a result, we realize and we know from this that the leaders of tomorrow are the learners and not the illiterate.
Let’s assume that in a country, there are no learners at all. What will happen to them? and how will they live?
Without a doubt, the patient and sick will die and will not find anyone who cares and takes care of him because there are no doctors. People will not be able to communicate and interact with each other from other regions, because there are no experts. The country will never develop, because there are no scientists. They will never know about the news taking place in the world, they will not know about the weather and whether there is a hurricane or a rain because there are no experts in the weather.
Learning in general contributes to the process of social development, especially tertiary education in universities or colleges. We know that what we learned in school is not so much education that helps in social development but it is fundamental education.
Free tertiary education contributes greatly to the process of social development, as it allows and helps students with limited income and standard of living simple to join the university, instead of spending the money for education.
Also free tertiary education allows citizens as a whole to complete their studies, and this is a valuable opportunity, because the market now looking for learners and holders of certificates because of their experience and knowledge.
The thing that is distinguished in the tertiary education is that there are many different majors, such as medicine, media, education, trade and many more.
But on the other hand, free tertiary education causes the accumulation of graduates and job seekers, as many citizens will complete tertiary education but the problem will be after they graduate, where do they get a job?

Our work about (Tweeting about Jihad)
Tweeting About Jihad
ID; 105786, 106496
Date; 19th of November, 2017
In the past, traditional media were available only to terrorists, so terrorists were provoking violent incidents against symbolic targets that the media were forced to cover, such as:
1)Attacking the Pentagon on September 11 by al-Qaeda.
2)Cutting to the hands of American journalists in August 2014 by ISIL.

Gabriel Weimann has called “threater of terror” which exsplain wars
How Do Al-Qaeda Spread His threats messages??
At the begaining Al-Jazeera spread al-Qaeda’s threats messages on TV to its enemies. Al-Jazeera then realized that it was a means of advertising by al-Qaeda and stopped publishing al-Qaeda threats that might be fabricated. Al-Qaeda relied heavily on social media.
The Jihadis recognize the importance of the Internet in their combat operations, the proofs:
1)A 2002 letter from Muhammad al-Mulla to the Taliban leader: “It is clear that the media war in this century is one of the strongest methods in fact may reach 90% of the total preparation of the battles”.
2)the message to al-Zarqawi, Al Qaeda leader; “ we are in a battle, and more than half of this battle is taking place in the battlefield of the media. And that we are in a media battle in a race for the hearts and minds of our Ummah”.
3)the message from Osama to his friend; “ media occupies the greater portion of the battle today.”
They also consider this issue as something fun to do;

Jihadis use children to achieve their goals:

Twitter is the most powerful weapon used by the Mujahideen:

How social media has emotional or behavioural impact on girls' issues'?
By: Fatik Al-Majrafi. ID: U106496. Date: Nov14, 2017
As we know social media is very important for the person and society. On the other hand, it has emotional and behavioural impact on boys and girls, especially on the girls, because they have more emotions and feelings. I will conclude my interviews in this article.
The girls became more bolder to spoke with the boys. Also, they are more bolder to participate their opinions and ideas, even if the boys are participate in the topic more than girls. Therefore, there has been confusion between the males and females.
Moreover, The girls became more bolder to express their opinions feelings, like feeling of injustice from their family or girls and sometimes girls reveal the secrets of their house.
The girls now chose the boys as friends from Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and so on. Also, it became normal for the girls to make friendship with the boys and to chat with them. Also, perhaps the girl tell the boy that she loves him.
Additionally, the girls now make their personal picture in their profile on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and others. Also, there are some channels for omani girls on Youtube and they show their faces.
When an unethical and non-behavioral video arrives to girls via social media, they try to imitate it and show it in front of people. Even some of them are proud of that and believe that this is coexistence with the developments of life.

How Social Media effect on the Languages?
By: Fatik Al-Majrafi. Oct24, 2017 ID: U106496
Social Media have make the writting very simple, in social media you can write what you want. On the another hand, these social media have effect on the languages. It have mixed a lot of words between the two languages, English and Arabic.
Social Media effect on language by the Arabisation of English. On social media, there are many words in English have used as Arabic words, such as (OK= أوكي, groups= جروبات, cancel= كنسل, check= شيّك and so on ).
I think the Arabisation of English is different from society to other. For example, in Sultan Qaboos University, the students use a lot of words in English as Arabic words and it spreaded so much. These words like, (sections= سكشنات, slides=سلايدات, Full= فُل, Laptop= لابتوب, grade= جريد).
In addition, social media effect on languge by using of slang. For example on Twitter, you can write only 140 characters, which leads you to make shortcuts for some words, such as (Thanks) to (thx), (Laughing Out Loud) to (LOL), (Take Your Time) to (TYT), (WelcomeBack) to (WB), (you) to (u), (For example) to (ex), (For) to (4), (To) to (2), and many others.
Moreover, there are many characters exchanged to numbers. For example, the number 3 means the character A and 7 means H. Many of users on social media write their accounts like this: (Ali= 3li), (Ahmed= A7med), (Monder= Mon4er), (Shmok= Shomo5), and so on.

Broadcasting students analyzing journalism students blogs on tumbler
Sunday, October 15
By Ahmed Al Naqbi
-
In the following points, we will introduce strengths and weaknesses of journalism students by looking into style, spelling, grammar, paragraphs, context, clarity, knowledgeable, interesting, copy and paste, ID number, and avatar.
In terms of style, most of the students are not using major’s hashtags while some of the students did not write the date right and make the first paragraph bold with no reason.
Spelling and Grammar
We note that most of the students are good in spelling in general. However, they have some leak in grammar. Some of them have repeated mistakes like using the right prepositions, capital letters, and verb tenses.
Students did not write paragraphs with full stops so the paragraph appears as one sentence but, most of them have an idea of writing paragraphs.
Context, Knowledge, and Clarity
Students express deference aspects of knowledge in a simple way. These have a strength and weakness because simply is suitable and clear in social media but, deeply knowledge did not introduce values.
ID number and Avatar
There are few students aren’t use the Id number and Avatar.
In short, the majority of students are in the right level of writing skills but they have to do more practice on styling and grammar with more reading to increase their knowledge.

The use of satire in social media on political issues
By: Fatik Al-Majrafi October, 3, 2017 Political satire is one of the most important forms of creativity, appeared writers and artists satirists throughout history, have affected on the creations of the world. In ancient Arab culture appeared Al-Gahid, Mutanabi, Ibn Al-Rumi, Ibn Al-Moqaffa and others. But in the world culture, Socrates, George Bernard Shaw, Shakespeare and many others. In this modern times, political satire has developed considerably through the media. In this article, I will mention some of the examples of the social media satire in the political. The social media satirize, such as, some of the heads of countries and it show them without their real image. For example, the head of north Korea kim Jong-un. The social media maked him as a crazy man, joker, funny character and so on. In addition, by the appearance of the Gulf crisis, there were a lot of caricatures, which satirize from the heads of Gulf countries or the nations. Moreover, social media that satirized from Saudi Arabia after the royal decree, which allowed women to drive the cars. There are many of Jokes and pictures that have spread about this decree. I think that this political satire is bad, because it effect negatively on the person and it make bad stereotype about the persons.

The Use of Social Media In Oman
By: Fatik Al Majrafi. Sep 26, 2017
The world now is in constant progress. with the appearance of Internet, the world changed quickly. Also, through internet, the social media appeared, which maked the world as a small village. Social media in Oman used soo much from the youth. In addition, whatsapp is the popular app used in Oman. In general, social media in Oman have positive and negative sides. Omanis use social media to recognize many people from the country and around the world and make relations with them. Which lead ua to know their traditions, customs, and so on. Social media maked the communication easy, by make a group in whatsapp for example and we communicate with our friends, family and neighbors easly, by call them video or sound. Likewise, many of Omanis use social media for selling and buying. Many of shops show their goods in social media programs, especially in Instagram, as a promotion to buy it. In addition, Omanis use social media to know the news around the world. Also, the ministries in Oman have an acount in social media, so that make the communication easier. On the other hand, there are many negatives of social media. The social media make the relations between others very weak, many people do not communicate with their friends, family and neighbors, except through social media, which is not enough never. We should see them, stay with they, speek with them face to face. Moreover, people became busy in their phone, they use it all the time, every person busy in his phone. So that is a one of the reasons which lead to weak the relationships. The important negative of social media is that these programs steal many of times and moneys, especially if the person do not have a daily schedule or a plan about what he or she wants from these programs. The parents should look on what their sons do and watch in social media. Also, My advice for the users of the social media is they should make a plan about what they want from these programs and use it to a particular times.
