We were displaced to Rafah in a tent that could not accommodate 5 people, and after the displacement from Rafah, we were displaced to Mawasi Khan Yunis again. It was a very difficult period... but now we are in Mawasi Khan Yunis in a tent that does not protect us from the cold of winter or the heat of summer.😞😭

This is our tent, its floor is made of cardboard, as you can see, and I suffer from severe eczema due to the pollution of the air and the materials used, and the medicine is very expensive.😭💔

From future teacher to homeless person 💔

My story and hope for survival😭

I am Israa Alwan I am 22 years old, a young woman who once had big dreams and was ready to achieve them. After years of hard work and study, I finally received my degree in Early Childhood Education. It was an indescribable joy, knowing I was about to start my journey as a teacher, to help shape young minds and walk alongside them in their first steps toward knowledge.

But my dream didn’t last. The war came and turned my life upside down. My home, which was once a safe haven, is now rubble, and I am left with only a few belongings and a shattered bag of dreams. Now, I am without a home, a job, or any sense of security. I move from place to place with my family, searching for a shelter to protect our children and the sick from the cold winter and the scorching summer.

My brother Shadi, who has always been my strength and support, now bears the heavy responsibility of caring for our entire family, doing everything he can to protect us and provide us with the bare essentials, despite the harsh conditions😭😭😭

Today, I reach out to you, driven by a shared humanity, seeking your support to help us survive and find a way out of this life that was forced upon us.

It seems that nothing is going well. Since yesterday, my daughter Diana, 4 years old, has had her ear bleeding heavily with pus. When she was taken to the hospital, they diagnosed her condition as an acute middle ear infection, and she needed some medications and antibiotics. While the world’s attention is on Gaza, life for Palestinians in the West Bank is also growing increasingly precarious. There has been a surge in settler violence and a spike in unlawful lethal force from Israeli forces. More than 400 Palestinians from East Jerusalem and the West Bank have been killed by Israeli fire since 7 October, according to the Palestinian health ministry. The Israeli human rights group B’Tselem has said that about 100 of these deaths have been children, most of whom posed no credible threat to heavily armed soldiers from one of the most powerful militaries in the world.

So if you guys didn’t know gentrification in Mexico is currently a big issue we are dealing with, from the “expats” raising prices of homes (expats my ass, call them what they are, illegal immigrants) to how now they are complaining that banda music should not be allowed in the beaches. It all came to a head when an hotel on the coast city of Mazatlan prohibited people from playing banda on “their” beach because it was ruining the experience for their gringo (Americans) residents.

Now here’s the thing, private beaches are not legal in Mexico, all coast lines are public and they can’t be blocked or regulated like that, so the hotel has legally no say.

That has not stopped them because money does make the world go round apparently, so the bandas are now demanding their right to play where they have for decades.

Now personally I do not like banda, I don’t hate it, but it is not my first choice of music, yet I fully support them because no gringo is going to come my country and try and control our culture.
