All June ever wanted was his love and his approval. In a sick way he was her father. He raised her. He's all she's ever known since she was 11. To find out he betrayed her, used her, manipulated her, it broke her.

this edit is very s1 - s2 transition coded 🙂‍↕️ I'll bet money that during that time June still tries to convince him to be better and tries to see the good in him, the man who once read her bedtime stories, the man who would cook an omelet whenever she had a bad day or the man who let her have play dates with Maya.
