"I don't know honestly." daniel said shaking his head, his hands shaking a bit from the anxiety.

"And living with a broken heart is better?" She asked. Adelia couldn’t even think straight. "I don’t know why people give a shit about my love life. I have no connection to the band, not in the way Mia does."

"Because I didn't want you to feel like you had to deal with his, you're already dealing with enough." he said sitting down next to her.

"Why didn’t you tell me about any of this." She gasped. "I would have helped you instead of adding to it." Adelia had to sit down because she felt sick

"Maybe this will help you understand." he said showing her his Instagram dm's, all the death threats and hate letters from a lot of the fans. "Being told constantly that you aren't good enough really gets into the head of someone who is already dealing with a mental illness."

"Of course that’s what you think about." She rolled her eyes. "Then why Danny?" Adelia winced at her slip of the nickname. She was still holding the ring. "Why did you break up our family if there wasn’t someone else. I don’t understand it."

"Another reason for your uncles fans to come for me, I love that." Daniel said "New girlfriend? There is no new girlfriend."

As much as she wanted to melt seeing the two of them. She crossed her arms. "It’s the truth. I didn’t want to sugarcoat it. You broke up with me." In all honesty she didn’t even know the reason he broke up with her. Realizing that her promise ring that he told her would later be made into an engagement ring was still on Adelia took it off. "You probably want this back to give to your new girlfriend."

Adelia sighed as her son ran to the door. "Hudson Daniel what do you think you’re doing?" He pouted. "But mommy, it’s daddy." She sighed again. "You can come in Daniel." Adelia called, bracing herself for having to see him
