Ariana: I used to be used to New York. I was here full time not too long ago. I made the switch to LA and I guess I kind of lost my roots a bit. But my favorite thing about New York is Gossip Girl and in the same way that Blair Waldorf would, I'm going to make this city my bitch again. You can help me, but you'd have to wear a headband. Rules are rules. Well, I'm glad you're not looking to get rid of me anytime soon because I don't think I plan on leaving anytime soon. This place is good for me.

Pete: I could easily do that and I feel like the world wouldn't even bat an eye. But the moment you delete your LinkedIn account, you know the entire world is going to go into a frenzy. How else will the world know where you're working and what you're up to? They need access to that resume!

Pete: That's not even your favorite thing about New York. Gossip Girl is like your favorite thing in general. Even more so since you've been on this rewatch binge and forcing me to watch with you. I'm not even going to lie, I'm pretty into it. So I get it. Can I at least be Serena or are you going to subject me to minion status? I'm glad you're not planning on leaving anytime soon. You're welcome to stay here for as long as you'd like. After all, it's much more fun when you're around anyway. This place isn't as lonely and depressing anymore since you've been around.

Ariana: You definitely did the best thing for you in that moment, and I respect that. I am sorry that it had to come to that, though. It should have never happened and I love my fans but they should do better. I frequently think about deleting my social media. I would if it wouldn't lead to thousands of articles dissecting all the reasons why I did it.

Ariana: You just being your kind and perfect self is all that I need and want right now, if that's okay with you. I don't need anything special or fancy. Just you, some yummy food, a good movie, and I think that's all about it. It does. Being back in New York takes me back to some better and easier days. It's crazy how much has changed since I essentially moved away from it all. LA is nice and I love it there, I mean, my life is there - but New York has such a different feel and vibe to it. I've just missed it. The make outs are pretty nice, too. I have to admit. Maybe nice enough to keep me here longer than I originally planned.

Pete: It's not your fault and I don't hold it against you at all. At the end of the day, it's the internet. There's always going to be people like that around, unfortunately. I hate how social media dictates our lives so much nowadays. God forbid you delete your Twitter. Millions of articles and speculations would be out in minutes, analyzing what led you to that decision. It's insane.

Pete: That's more than alright with me. I can certainly provide myself, food, and all the best movies you could ever want. LA is overrated, but then again I'm incredibly biased because New York is just in my blood. And when you're used to the LA lifestyle, New York is just an entirely different world. I've missed the make outs very much. So you have no idea how happy I am to know that they're the reason you want to extend your stay out here. You're more than welcome to stay as long as you'd like. I'm certainly in no rush to get rid of you.

Ariana: I'm sorry they're like that. I love them, but sometimes it's just all too much. This is why I've kept all of my relationships after you somewhat private and hidden away from socials. It isn't worth sharing it with the rest of the world and having people be assholes to the person I love. But also, I'm so so sorry on their behalf for everything they put you through. It wasn't fair at all and you deserved so much better than the treatment you were given.

Ariana: You're such a good guy, Pete. One of the sweetest souls I know. I care about you so much and I hope you always know and recognize that. I never want to see you hurt and if I can prevent that in any way, I'm going to. Thank you for being here. Thank you for being someone I can count on through all my days, not even just my bad ones. You don't even know how much it means to me to have you here. Thank god we're a lot more different than we were. In a word, that year was definitely complicated.

Pete: Hey, it's not your fault. You can only do so much to tame them. At the end of the day, some of them are just always going to feel the need to defend you. I admit, they go hard for you and I respect their loyalty and everything. But sometimes I feel like they just don't understand that words can hurt. That's why I deleted social media and I feel like overall, it was the best thing I've ever done for my mental health.

Pete: The same goes for you. You have the sweetest and purest heart out of everyone I know. I never ever want to see you hurting either. I'm sorry that you're going through this breakup currently and you're hurting. But if there's anything I can do for you to distract you or take your mind off of things, you know I'll do anything for you. You have no idea how much it means to ME to have YOU here. It feels like the old days. Just cuddling on the couch and having Harry Potter marathons. Joking around and teasing one another. My favorite part about having you back here has definitely been the making out, 10/10 would do again.

Ariana: You didn't even have to try. You were just a natural and so good at understanding me. Sometimes I think I never should have let you go. Things were different then, just like they're different now. We can figure out this new chapter page by page and see how it all goes. Just promise me you won't skip to the end.

Pete: The last thing we need is the media hounding us again. Your fans are crazy and I know they'd come for me the moment TMZ leaked that article. I'm proud of you. You're a strong, independent woman, who don't need a man.

Pete: I just understand what it's like dealing with mental health issues. I also know what it's like to lose someone close to you. So I get the grieving process and the amount of pain you go through. There's never any judgement on my end, cause lord knows I've been though it all over the years. I agree. I think we're both different, stronger people since then. It's a whole new chapter and I promise that we can read through together and see what happens as it happens.

I think being on your own is definitely good for everyone at one point or another in their lives. I feel like being alone causes you to be with your thoughts and do a lot of self reflecting. Which is never really a bad thing. You just have to do whatever you feel like is best for you in the moment.
