not to be a bitch but I’m tired of cynicism as an aesthetic and a tactic to fill the holes of a gaping personality, I’m tired of romanticizing acting cruel and thriving on the disappointment and pain of others and yourself, I want to feel optimism and softness and emotion as it comes, not as I should dictate it to fit the parameters of what’s expected of me. I’m tired of numbness and anger not for the sake of feeling it, but for the sake of seeming different and more “complex” than others. I want to cope, and thrive, and love, and live. Anger is healing and pain is power, but compassion towards myself is the new motivation.
