“Ask her who she trying to cosplay as then go from there”

“Cosplay is about showing love for the character, not being the character flawlessly! I mean, look at Yaya Han. She's Asian and a ton of the cosplays she does aren't. No one cares. Rock it!”

“It's ok if she does it,but absolutely no yellow face of any kind. Just put on the costume and cosplay. Lol”

“I say she just go for it. If it's in a respectable manner who cares what she does.”

‘Support support support any one willing to put in the work to cosplay should be supported for there effort alone.’

“I asked a somewhat similar question not long ago and I got a resounding "Do it! Just don't go black or yellow face. Wear the costume, wear the wig, carry the weapon. We know you love that character and that's the most respectful thing you could do for her/him." If anyone gives her heat for cosplaying a character of another race, they're being stupid and sensitive and really just need fuck off in the opposite direction.”

“I'm new to cosplay too. I was looking up darker toned cosplay ideas because I too was worried either no one would reconize the character or would say something negative of me not perfectly portaying the character. Cosplay is all about fun and creativity. I got over my fear and cosplayed whatever I wanted, even did some genderbend cosplay! Just enjoy yourself and be as creative as you like. Because you're gonna always have someone not like what you do, but those folks don't matter...”In conclusion, DO IT NO MATTER WHAT. As long as you’re not offensive with your cosplay (ex. black/yellow face) then no one should give you crap. if they do, then IGNORE THEM. Cosplay is fun and cosplay whoever you want!

Hi I'm sorry if this is a weird message lol but when I think about it, I love black people cosplaying sailor moon with their natural hair instead of a wig so much because the hair buns always look so amazing and so much more natural with black hair, especially yours. Obviously I don't mean this to sound like I'm putting down black cosplayers who choose to wear wigs! But the way you did your hair for your cosplay and when other people do the same, it just clicks in a really amazing way ya know?

It’s not weird. I was kinda inbetween doing it with a wig or my own hair. I actually decided that my head was waaaay to big for a wig and I HATE thin wigs because of that (my head stretches out the already thin wig, making it even thinner lol). So I personally decided to make it my own. People like you really appreciated it though. I love seeing people making their cosplay their own in other aspects as well. ❤ thanks!
