One of the players, playing the Gargoyle Ninja Ishikage, splits off from the party without us noticing and stealths his way through the dungeon. This session, we get to his side of things, and as he makes his way around, he decides to check a room, letting his “greedy side take over” in case there was treasure.

Well, he found spiders. A big spider and many baby spiders. Still pretty big baby spiders. They jump him. 

During the fight; Ishikage: “Because of my damage reduction of 10 points, they only do 1 damage with that. Okay, So on this turn, I’m going to use that bomb.” Me: “Are you just going to throw it in, slam the door, and watch the loony toons antics happen?” Ishikage: “It depends, hon, are the spiders all over me?” GM: “Yeah, the baby spiders are *all* over you.” Ishikage: “Okay, so I’m just going to shut the door, with me inside, and drop the bomb at my feet. I’m just gonna blow these fuckers up. It won’t hurt me much but it’ll maybe get rid of them.” GM: “Roll damage!”

Me: “Wait… let me just… let me stress this situation… The NINJA GARGOYLE, is beset upon by a horde of big baby spiders and a GIANT spider, and decides to blow them up with a bomb… but instead of throwing it you’re just gonna BLOW YOURSELF THE FUCK UP TO KILL THEM ALL?! AND MAYBE *SURVIVE*?!! …. This is the most metal thing that has ever happened in any of our games.”
