Funny, isn’t it? You thought you could save him. All those texts, those discord calls, the promises to help. But when it really mattered, when he was at his breaking point, you weren’t even there. You stopped replying, didn’t you? You went silent when he needed you the most.

He kept reaching out, thinking someone—anyone—might listen. But you? You ignored him. Maybe you thought he’d just get over it, or maybe you were just too busy. Either way, in the end, you weren’t there. You never really were. Just words on a screen, just some digital presence that faded when the screen went dark.

You promised you would help but you abandoned him.

You didn’t know him. Not really. Not the way you thought you did. He was alone when it happened. Alone because you couldn’t be bothered to reply. You were never going to save him. He knew that. Maybe that’s why he did it. He finally realized there was no one left to help him, not even you.

Don’t worry, though. Grief gets easier, they say. Eventually, you’ll completely forget him. And when that happens? That’s when you’ll lose him all over again. But hey… at least this time, you’ll be ready for it.
