Review of “Kiss the Villain”
*spoilers***
I loved it and gave it 5 ⭐️s. I loved how unhinged Gareth was….I was truly hoping he was going to be the most unhinged one out of the group. I loved that he was a talker, some of his monologues and inside thoughts had me laughing and I found entertaining. I also loved how he was the brattiest sub. I loved how obsessive Gareth and Kayden were with each other. I liked how Killian and Gareth mended their relationship, and I even liked Killian more in this book than his own ( God of Malice). Finally, just when poor Gareth was finally able to open up to someone after feeling used by others and not being able to trust teachers/adults, Kayden almost ruins it by not telling Gareth about his wife and plans sooner. I felt so bad for him during his mental breakdown.
Gareth has definitely moved into my top two Rina Kent characters. Niko is still number 1.
One week till “Kiss the Villain”
My predictions…..
110% Kayden is a serpent which is why he is labeled as the villain.
Gareth’s personality I think will be similar to Fionn Kane’s (Scythe and Sparrow by Brynne Weaver) but way more unhinged. Glyndon King, I feel has already clocked his personality in “God of Malice”, when she said “you don’t want to be like them but yet you behave like them and that makes you no better then them.” (I know she said this but i don’t know what page or what chapter). She is the only elites perspective we get to see of Gareth, and through her eyes he is a little more ruthless than through Niko’s, Mia’s or even Killian’s. Through the heathens perceptive, Gareth alway seemed annoyed with them or trying to be an “older brother” figure to them all. But at the same time he is always “studying” or just not around during the mayhem.
I don’t think Gaz was actually sleeping with Cherry in “God of Malice” I believe that was a front.
Questions
How does Mia ( God of Ruin) recognize Kayden?
How will Killian react not only to the relationship but to his brother not being as good as he portrays himself out to be.

Just finished this audio book. It brought my two favorite things together mafia romance and hockey romance. It helped that Teddy Hamilton was one of the narrators. This was a four star read.

Just finished the ruinous love trilogy and each book was amazing in its own way. I love the dark romance romcom style of the books. I found myself giggling and kicking my feet at multiple scenes in each of the books. Rowan is definitely the most unhinged of all the characters, in the way he loved being a serial killer and wasn’t sorry about it. Lachlan and Fionn were a little more ashamed of their killer tendencies.
Out of the three couples Rowan and Sloane were my favorite, their banter was just unmatched and their chemistry from their very beginning was undeniable. Fionn and Rose would have to be my second favorite couple, the letters they wrote to each other towards the end of the books put tears in my eyes. I loved how Rose so badly wanted to be a serial killer or a vigilante, but she was so clumsy at it. It added to the humor and to her character which made me love her. Lachlan and Lark would have to be my least favorite couple from the series. I still enjoyed their book I just enjoyed the other two more.
No surprise, Rowan and Sloane are my favorite characters from the trilogy. I loved that Brynne added another chapter from Rowan’s perspective at the end of “Scythe and Sparrow”. Him and that dragon costume had me laughing hysterically 😂.

In the letters which Cardan wrote to Jude, while she was in exile... He just referred to the moment where Jude's blade was pressed against his throat as one of the romantic moments.

Here we were witnessing a peak moment of enemity, but our cute stupid prince was romanticising the whole thing whilst falling for Jude. SOMEBODY SAVE ME!!

He rises from the throne. "Come, have a seat." His voice is replete with danger, lush with menace. The flowering branches have sprouted thorns so thickly that petals are barely visible. "This is what you wanted, isn't it?" he asks. "What you sacrificed everything for. Go on. It's all yours."
