debating whether or not to try writing some stuff in English tbh

i mentioned it here and there over the years but one of the reasons I stopped writing, I think, is because I’ve been consuming medias in english for so long at this point that my own language makes me cringe?? it sounds cheesy to me now.

(second reason is because i wanted to be a writer but pretty much never finished anything aside from maybe 5(?) very short novels, and 1 fanfic, despite starting well over 200 stories, so i got increasingly self conscious and frustrated and just… hit a wall)

(which… sucks, because I once sent one of my novels to my lit teacher and she… freaking loved it. she even showed it to her husband who is a big reader, and he… also loved it) (i think it added to it, people loved that one so much I ended up convincing myself I’d never write anything better)

writing is so funny because i could write nonstop for 9hrs and then hit a block where im like "how do i transition between this moment and the next?" and then i just dont touch it for 6 months

me whenever i have to explain i have movies running on in the background at night so my brain focuses on that instead

“if you’re sensitive to sounds when sleeping, just use earplugs!” i cannot stress enough that the sensory feeling of having my ears fully blocked AND now being able to hear my own heartbeat and breathing and every other sound that’s happening inside my own body is a million times worse than whatever ambient noise may be keeping me awake
