One of the more alien looking trilobites, the aptly name Dicranurus monstrosus. Amazingly preserved with all of it’s spines and horns after 380 million years of being encased in solid limestone.

The dark side of nature! On her way down to spawn thousands of eggs into the ocean, this Christmas Island Red Crab paused to feast on the returning baby crabs (same species) that were spawned a month earlier, popping them into her mouth like popcorn!
