Long story short, I have a talented friend whose superpower is to create awesome action/adventure storylines that can easily be translated into a game plot or miniseries, and they never cease to amaze and inspire me. Much to my chagrin, they rarely post, so I can't give you a link to the story, but I can show a bunch of concepts I did based on my friend's fanfiction. "After wreaking havoc on Eggman's ship, the hedgehogs teleport away from the explosion. Chaos Control goes awry, and two hapless heroes find themselves in the depths of the mountains. To get back to the surface, they will have to work together, whether they like it or not."

I know this won't happen, but him being in healing goop just made me think of him being suspended in squid form while they're trying to integrate him into the hive. 🪬🦑🐙💢

The sonic x generations takeover had shadow say he liked the doom morph. (He got enrichment, good for him) I wonder how much of that had been influenced by Black Doom.

I'm not sure I understand the question correctly, sorry. What exactly did Black Doom influence? Visual representation of doom's powers? I'd say 100%, it's Black Doom's energy + his DNA, which was used to create the hybrid. I don't think those abilities would have awakened if Black Death had affected him like that, it would have been something else. But who knows, Sega has never set strict limits and has always left room for imagination. You can fit almost any idea into sth lore, and it works. Or do you mean Shadow's thirst for power? I think that's purely a trait of his, just a character type, you know, like Vergil from the DMC series? "I need more power", "bow your heads low", all that jazz.

Anyway, if we see these powers again in the future (outside of any Black Doom related story), then I'm wrong and these are Shadow's basic abilities, not Black Doom's ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don't know how fair ahead you have planned for your story already, but after the release of shadow × generations, have you changed your mind on anything? You said in an older post from last May you didn't want Shadow to sprout wings or anything, and then a few months later Shadow did that canonically. Obviously, you don't have to use any of those doom powers if it interferes with your artistic vision—and you aren't obligated to! But, um, would you like to? That's really what I'm wondering. Sorry if this is kinda wordy, I wasn't sure how to phrase this in a way that didn't sound forceful; I'm just curious and didn't want to offend you.

Yes, he did that. Canonically (；⌣̀_⌣́) Well, those doom powers disappeared after Black Doom's death, so technically they represented the mind controller's abilities. Now it's Eclipse's turn to mess with Shadow's brain, and Eclipse also has a flying form (with the help of his wisps), so I'll probably draw a winged Shadow as a reflection of Eclipse's powers and as a tribute to the canon. But my wings won't be an exact copy of those in the game. Besides, by the time I get to that chapter with my drawing speed, Sega will come up with something else. I'm pretty sure I'll have to change some of my concepts several times, but that's a future me problem :')

Is shadow gonna get to eat the black arms' fruit? Maybe I'm just hungry, but i want that for him. 🍐

In the comic? No, he wants nothing to do with Black Arms. And as the ultimate life form, Shadow doesn't need food, so his hunger strike won't have any drastic results. Come to think of it, he'd eat if he was under mind control, but I didn't plan to go into such details of hive life.
