eichi coming from a prominent privileged family VS tatsumi descended from a religious minority that was looked down upon and actively suppressed for centuries

eichi chronically ill all his life VS tatsumi dealing with chronic pain for the last 2ish years

I'd say eichi's had the time to build up that RAGE that can come from your health holding you back/making you miserable, but it rly doesn't take long to develop that - and while we haven't seen anything similar in tatsumi, who's to say it isn't there to a degree? except...oh.

eichi chose rage. tatsumi chose guilt.

and then obv there's the similarity in both of them wanting to Change Things and the differences in how they went about trying to do this and how they're trying to do this moving forward

edit: OH BUT ALSO. it's bc tatsumi was able-bodied from the start that he could sacrifice himself for his ideals to the extent that he did. he was able to work himself to the bone in order to realize his goals, if only for a moment. so. that's something else to chew on
