At what point does growth become decay
At what point do we forget
We were all born to die
Locked in deadly progression
Creatures fighting so hard to live
When we are prone to die
Why do we pretend we are not dying
How foolish are we
To ignore death
How dare we forget
We all come from the universe
And to the universe
We shall all return

Snowlight blinds me
Heatless fire
Pale
Muted
And the blurred tree
Consumes the sun
I grasp for rain
And wind
Snatch my daylight
By violent will
Grip my desires
Like underground stones
The paleness burns
Into an orange sunrise
So dawn rises to day
Only gold may stay

Did they murder each other
more gently
because in the woods
sweet songbirds sang?
This brute existence
found in frustrations.
This violence,
no more legitimate
Than a wolf’s
and now by violence
They lock us in.
All that remains
Are remains.

“There is sweet music here that softer falls
Than petals from blown roses on the grass,
Or night-dews on still waters between walls
Of shadowy granite, in a gleaming pass;
Music that gentlier on the spirit lies,
Than tir'd eyelids upon tir'd eyes;
Music that brings sweet sleep down from the blissful skies.
Here are cool mosses deep,
And thro' the moss the ivies creep,
And in the stream the long-leaved flowers weep,
And from the craggy ledge the poppy hangs in sleep”

Soulless, mindless
Chitter chatter
Pitter patter
Rain
Falls
Voices
Tremble
Like
White noise
Thunder
In darkness

The soul dies at the hand of the one who carries it
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
Not with a whimper but with a bang
This is the way i fall
This is the way i fall
Not with a bang but with a whimper
It’s not enough just to love

I feel like my first post should be something profound; looks like it won’t be tho so instead I’m just gonna say . . .
Hi, I’m a hopeful romantic who acts like a dark academic but tends to dress more cottage core and I can never figure out which side I gravitate more towards.
