Talk about making a scene, although Edgar doesn’t really care that much since he’s still in some pain but as some onlookers drift back to the task at hand Edgar pinches the bridge of his nose briefly. His patience is still a little thin even if he tries to stay calm.

“What do you mean by that?” He asks all the while trying to parse Zhang San’s words. He’s got an interesting way of talking sometimes, it seems. “If, uh, I tell you you can stand up from the floor, would you please get back up? You apologizing once was enough.”

He’s not sure how much saying that will really help, but as his tone evens out to something less aggravated he can hope he sounds more sincere to Zhang San. Now if he’d done this and taken off, Edgar probably would be in a considerably worse mood. As it stands— or doesn’t so to speak, in this case— it’s obvious he just wants to make amends in his own way.

Despite the encouragement to raise, Zhang San remains attached to the floor. He felt the confused, started, and amused eyes upon him.

The younger people, he thought, are probably relieved they won't end up like me.

His mind overflowed with anxiety fueled thoughts, and he froze. His stillness erred on the side of death that even one young woman questioned if he lived. At that moment, he knew he had to move. Rigid as a statue, Zhang San rose a hand and lifted his head slightly.

"Pray forgive me, my lord," the voice of a thousand-year-old peasant erupted from his soul. "I am in your humble service until you deemed my actions vindicated."

“Great. I thought I’d get a headstart on gift shopping for next year since the stalls are all still set up— didn’t really have a chance to get anyone Christmas gifts this year and all.” So why not start early and have gifts stashed? Mind you, he’ll have to hope he doesn’t forget they’re there.

“And maybe even get a few cool trinkets for ourselves. But Ambrose’s birthday is soon too, so there’s that too.”

Not that he’s in a huge hurry, but it might be fun! He stands up to stretch, rolling his neck and shoulders. “Then again, any stalls you were eyeing? There were unique food and drink stalls somewhere along the way. Or do you wanna just wing it like always?”

"Oh Edgaaaaar!" Even without the wave down she did spot 'em out of the corner of her eye. And thankfully nobody else was around to make things weirder by Kikuri intruding at such a time.

"Of course I would. You don't even need to ask in the first place with the season coming to an end. It was that or my usual spot so some walking around probably wouldn't hurt..."

Edgar turns at the chime of the door, met almost immediately with the ramblings of someone he doesn’t fully recognize, speaking more quickly then he’s prepared for. But getting mistaken for Eiden— even just briefly because the patron wasn’t looking to see if he was actually in the shop, that’s new! He just laughs it off and places his hands flat on the counter.

“Well, it’s Edgar, actually.”

He’s pretty quick to chime in with the correction when he has a chance in any case, probably telling how often he gets called by the wrong name— maybe he needs to start wearing a more clearly visible name tag?

Ah well, doesn’t matter that much.

“No, not particularly. It isn’t busy right now.” And cleaning and organizing the store during any lulls didn’t take all day usually, luckily. “Why, did you need something specific? Or is this something for Eiden’s ears only? If it’s just a purchase pick up, I can check whether yours is ready or not myself if you provide your purchase information. Otherwise you can leave a message or come back when he’s around.”

He’s not really sure what this is about, but he might as well try to be helpful if this is one of their potential customers.

With a ring, the door to SP*T swings open as a familiar head of pink hair saunters into the shop. There's still a momentary flush where Wang Yi adjusts to being back in an adult toy store, but he's strolling towards the counter next second, talking at a mile at minute.

"Yo Eiden, I couldn't find you anywhere last week! Did you elop—oh."

"Uhhh...you're Edward, right?"

Eiden did mentioning his helpers around the store, but Wang Yi had never met any of them in person. He blinks at the unfamiliar guy behind the counter now before straightening up to scratch his head.

"Sorry about that, did I come at the wrong time?"

Edgar, used to living in a larger city even before this, is so used to it all he forgets some probably aren’t and could even find it overwhelming. But hopefully he can help this fellow find his way around at least, without causing confusion.

“Sure, I’ve been here for a while so I can probably point you in the right direction. Maybe you’re looking for the Star Trail? It has the most food stalls of anywhere, I would guess they also have a variety of fresh produce.”

It’s an assumption on his part as he doesn’t buy food often anymore, but hopefully he can quell the poor guy’s seeming anxiety at least.

“Correct me if I’m wrong, though. I usually do my shopping at the grocery stores. But I can still show you the way to one of the local markets, don’t worry about it.”

"There's...so much more room here, than there was back in my hometown. Walkable city, very much so."

He steeples his fingers, regarding the other with some amount of sheepishness in his stare. He's...doing his best, but by the harvest goddess' winter gaze (as his grandmother would have said), he's gotten lost again.

How on earth does Mistel manage this? He really should start using his phone more...there's got to be some kind of map system in there that he's ignoring.

"Would you perhaps be able to direct me back to the market area? I was hoping to pick up some fresh fruit from one of the vendors."

He hates asking for help: makes him feel like an indignant child, face flushed with a reddish hue (oh, boy, here he is again...clumsy Mistel, the same as ever).
