Reblogging this with an addition because while I did know it before, it wasn’t as hard of a rule for how I viewed and interacted with posts.

Question everything. Especially now.

With everything going on, I don’t care who’s saying it, where it’s coming from, even if I agree with the message. Question everything, do your research. If it makes you rage, absolutely don’t interact with it. If you don’t have the time or energy to research it, don’t let it form your opinions. Give it time to marinate in your head so you can form questions about it.

For a long while I would reblog Palestine support posts without doing any research why they’re even at war in the first place, the reason I reblogged them was because it gave me a sense of activism, like I was doing something good. What I was really doing was soothing the guilt I got from so many people posting about the war. I was letting myself be guilted into posting about something I had no part in, and had never researched other than seeing a few TikToks (WHICH IS NOT RESEARCH).

I will be going through and deleting posts and reblogs about things I no longer agree with and things I still need to research. Because yes, despite what people try to say, people can grow and their opinions can change.

A little piece of advice for Americans navigating what will be an increasing number of posts about US politics in the coming year:

If a post makes you feel angry, upset, and hopeless, while offering no actionable information, scroll on and don't reblog it. I know that is going to feel harsh in some cases. But it's important to spend your political energy on what you can actually do and not be sunk into helpless rage and despair that benefits no one.

Boycott launch date of Switch 2 and buy it the next day, June 6.

This has worked before:

When the 3DS released, it was over priced too. No one bought it so then they lowered the price!

It has happened before, it can happen again.

If you can wait even 1 day at least, or 1 week at best, it will make a difference.

Spread the news. In solidarity of those who can't buy Switch 2, those who can buy it should at least boycott the launch date. I garantee you it WILL make a difference.

Remember the consumer is always right.
