most (or at least a lot of the ones I’ve seen) of the papers on detransitioning would categorize me as detrans because I choose take 2 less mg of estrodial daily than I did at one point. Idk the validity of this statistic, but I once read that 1% of people who detransition do so because of regret

obviously I’m not happy about the increasing presence of detransitioners and following narratives around the danger of transition in the zeitgeist but it does feel vindicating as Fuck after getting flamed on here for Years by people with pronouns in bio for saying that the people with terf friends saying terf things and naturalizing cisness as the natural normal healthy way for a body to be through the language of “detransition” itself might actually should maybe have those views challenged instead of coddled. “ahhh noo i actually have friends who id as detrans and are not transphobic they just decided they didn’t want to be on hormones” your goofy ass friends are still trans/nb despite changing their presentations and have no good reason for continuing to try and rehab ‘detransitioner’ as an identity or any other attempts to share community with virulent transphobes. unless they’re cis in which case you should really just be running instead of even keeping them in your mind at all

american indian men are at the 2nd highest risk of death by murder compared to all other ethnic groups. in their lifetimes, 82% of native men report having experienced domestic violence. yet the overwhelming majority of perpetrators are non-natives (88% of native men and 92% of native women who reported violence said their attacker was non-native). what’s more, tribal governments are often stymied in their attempts to bring justice against non-natives, meaning that many of these cases go unresolved.

this was an intersectional attack. the fact that he is indigenous matters, even if the motivation was homophobic, because it made him even more vulnerable and disposable in the eyes of his killer.

there was actually a period of time where I, a transfem, was fortunate enough to be able to walk the line where most people would assume I was transmasc, and do you know what? people would he/him me even more (regardless of if I told them my pronouns), and when I would tell them that I was transfem to get them to stop, it was constant fucking transmisogynist microagressions from all across the tme queer community. They would take my androgynous nonbinary identity as an excuse to strip me of my womanhood, my place in the lesbian community, and implicitly say that I’m hardly different from being just another cis man. 

Regardless of whether someone knows or has the right to know someone’s agab, they will assume, and there will be transmisogy at every level of the interaction regardless of what the assumption is. Go figure that the only people it hurts and affects, are people who are TMA.

it's a little funny when someone rallies against any kind of transfeminist critique or language by going "um, you have no right to know my asssigned gender at birth! you don't get to know what's in my pants!"

Its so often that someone sees something that makes them uncomfortable and makes the leap all the way past just scrolling, or god forbid asking why they’re uncomfortable, to saying that it shouldn’t exist, or at least be allowed to be seen.
