Felix nodded, feeling the silence settle on them once again like it did so many times before. He stared down at the strawberry fields in front of them, unconsciously running one of his hands through the grass. “You looked like you were running from something there..” Felix spoke a minute or two later, referring to when he saw her pushing past people to get here.

–– she wanted to ask him why he didn’t leave his cabin but she just looked down at her hands temporarily before back at him. “that’s good, that you’re good. i’m fine.”

Felix sat down next to her, “I didn’t exactly leave the cabin in a while.. But I’m good. You?”

–– lux calmed a little when she realise it was felix. “i haven’t seen you in a while… how you been?” she wondered, sitting down. she wasn’t one to normally miss someone’s company but it was a bit weird for her to not seen felix in a while. she did her best to keep her emotions in check since it wasn’t the right time for her especially with the piece of memory in her pocket.

Felix hasn’t spent time with anyone in the past week since he had locked himself in his cabin after what happened with Evie. He had realized that he missed spending time when Lux when he saw her pushing past campers and going to the strawberry fields, instantly following behind. He showed her a small smile when she heard him, “Hey.. It’s me.”

–– luxanna was having a casual day, nothing was wrong until she saw something in her things, something she thought she threw out years ago. it made her think of something she managed to avoid for the past week. but she knew it was too good to be true. she couldn’t just think it away, it would always be true, the worst thing she had done. luxanna pushed past a few people until she got to the strawberry field, hoping to be alone until she heard something. “hello?”

Felix didn’t have a choice but to stop when Amber did, turning around but not being able to look at her. “Well.. uh-- how do I say this?” He thought for a few seconds. “Remember how I said I had a lot of cousins? W-Well, they never really liked me and.. There was this one time Storm came home and he-- he said he was going to take them somewhere ‘fun’ as he called it and he invited me to go with them. Amber, this was two years ago, back when I desperately wanted to be their friend, alright? I was stupid..” He explained, throwing in that heads up as he did so, not wanting Amber to think he was still like that. “We drove all the way from Pennsylvania to here and I was all excited until they just-- ran out of the van and grabbed this innocent girl, handcuffed her, blindfolded her and duct-taped her and started to drag her into the car. I-I-I didn’t want to do any of that, I swear.. But they guilt tripped me into it and I wish I stopped them, but I didn’t and I still regret it..” Felix trailed off, not knowing how to finish that horrible story. As he told her what happened, images kept flashing in the back of his mind and he wished he could erase them.

She followed him into the forest, onyx eyes flashing dangerously. She stopped in the middle of the trees. “Okay, I’m not going any farther. Now tell me what you did to Evie, and why it’s going to get her hurt.”

“Shit, shit..” He kept muttering to himself quietly, getting frustrated with what he has done. Felix looked around anxiously, they were in the middle of camp, he couldn’t just say something here. He knew there was no escaping it at this moment. “Fuck.. Just come with me.” He quickly grabbed her forearm and went towards the forest where he knew nobody would be there at this time. 

She practically growled out a response, growing angry quickly. She was suddenly very conscious of the Imperial Gold weapon wrapped around her arm as she spoke. “No. You are not changing the subject. Felix Palladino you tell me what you did right now. I am not letting something happen to Evie because you’re being a fucking coward.”

Did he actually just almost tell her what he did to Evie? Fuck.. He thought, quickly trying to dismiss the subject. “It’s nothing important. I just don’t like the idea of her being close to me, okay?”

“Dude, I’m literally Storm’s half-sister, in case you forgot! And she still likes me, obviously enough to spill her guts. Yeah, she did see him, but maybe she needs people to help her deal with that? Y’know, that’s how this shit works. …What the fuck were you involved in that could get her hurt? Felix if anything happens to that girl, I swear to the gods I will end you.”

“You have got to be fucking kidding right now.” He rolled his eyes in frustration. “I don’t care about looking ‘cute’ together, Amber! I already told you before that I didn’t want her to get close because.. what if she found out I was related to Storm? She told me she saw him in the city and she looked freaked out about it. If she knew what I was involved in, she’s going to get hurt even more and I don’t want that for her! Do you understand that?!”

“Of course I did, who the fuck do you think I am?” She laughed slightly, shaking her head. “Because you’d be cute together. Why didn’t you want her to get close to you? That’s my spiel, emo boy. Technically, she told you. Just you with my face.”

“You flirted with her.” He stated, knowing she mostly likely has done that as him. “Why’re you happy about this, though? I never wanted her to get close to me, and now there she is, telling me.. well, you, that she has feelings for me!” Felix waved his hands around as he talked, a little frustrated. 

“Nothing bad! I’m just a lot less chaste than you, and you have a huge filter, while I have none. I didn’t know she had feelings for you! I just thought she was like, into your face or something.”

Felix furrowed his eyebrows, “What the hell did you do?”

“Duh! This is actually interesting!” She raised her eyebrows. “Oh shit, she spilled to you thinking you were me? She’s gonna kill me. I may have helped that along though. I’m a naturally flirty person, and in your body, well…”

“Oh, so now you care?” He rolled his eyes. “She didn’t tell me. She told you. It was when we switched bodies. I couldn’t tell her it was me, it was a little too late since she just kept going on about it..”

Now she was interested. The daughter of Zeus stood up faster than a speeding bullet. “Wait, what? She finally got up the guts to admit it to you? Tell me everything!”

He sighed. “Evie -- she came up to me and, well.. she said she has feelings for me..” Felix still couldn’t believe that happened, so saying it out loud felt weird.

“Exactly. I don’t know what it is, so I don’t know why it’s important to me.”

“No offense, but can you please explain to me why I’m supposed to care?”
